Extremely well...no delays in the service. On time and completed in a timely manner.
Description of Work: Job 402791 and 402737 Were on time, very professional. Didn't waste anytime...and also very knowledgeable. I have been a silver club member for years. Would highly recommend to anyone. Price was a little high (I thought) but fair. Both techs performed well...diagnostic and compressor replacment.

I have been an Air Rescue Customer for the last three years or so after responding to one of their "Tune-Up" promotions. Was so satisfied with the quality of work and their through ness that I signed up for their Silver service contract on the first visit with the thought that having my system checked out and cleaned twice a year made sense and would keep things running smooth for the years to come along with the added discounts and priority scheduling should I have a breakdown. Last year I even upgraded to their premiere "Gold' program for an additional monthly fee after being told the needed repair would have been fully covered had I had the Gold plan along with the usual "what if's" should happen (i.e. fan motor, compressor leak etc). During this last inspection which btw was included in the cost of my monthly service contract the service tech (David Nordstrom) was again very through, helpful and complete with his recommendations. One of which was it might be time to shop around for a new unit so when the time comes I won't be making the decision under pressure and at the last minute which I thought was good advice. However, the reason being that if the motor gave out it may not be covered under my service plan or it this happened or that happened etc. which only got me to thinking that like so many other types or insurance which is what I consider this service contract to be "sort of", it is when you go to place a claim that then the exceptions and exclusions come up. Hasn't happened yet so I am still giving them an "A" rating. Hoping I never need to reverse my review in the future and they continue to honor their service plans the way they present them. - Job # 529388

The technician arrived on-time and discussed the services desired. I was using a coupon for general maintenance of my two units. Once he completed the service, he brought me a list of items that needed to be repaired. Both units were low on freon and were brought up to the correct level. He had three other items on the list that "might" be a problem in the future and "should" be done. I won't say he was high pressure, but he definately was there to try to maximize company revenues to the highest point possbile. I declined and am seeking a second opinion/quote. If the Air Rescue pricing is competitive, I will use them again. Job #399963

We background check and drug test and we are the oldest and largest company in the Tampa Bay area, senior at 66 years of loyalty to our customers. We will be there for you when most other companies cannot. If you do get a lower quote, apples to apples we will price match that for you. Thank you for giving us the opprotunity to service you and please note that we give a 6 month warranty against breakdowns when we do a total system rejuvenation on the air conditioner. So anything they do not make you aware of at the time of service, we are liable for so they do have to bring it to your attention if they see a potential problem. Air Rescue was the forth company we called...they were the only one where a live person answered the phone. They came the same day....and were actually early. The technician was professional and explained the problems and solutions. In fact, a number of viable solutions were explained. When he came into the house, he wore booties and was patient with the barking dogs. The repair was assessed and completed within 75 minutes. He had all the parts in the truck so there was no delay in getting cool air to our home.
Description of Work: Air conditioning unit was cleaned and drain was re-worked; we were also leaking cold air into the attic so this had to be sealed; a Dual Capacitor was replaced.We also signed an annual preventive maintenance contract which 1) saved us on this repair; and 2) should prevent future major repairs. Description of Work: Company installed a new central air outside unit a couple of years ago, that never performed as expected. Got a call from Heather in customer service last month wanting to resolve the outstanding complaint. She sent a total of three techs out to assess the situation. They then developed a plan to fix the issue, and offered to apply the entire original price towards the work, or refund my money. As I was not in a postion to spend additional money right now, I opted for the refund. I received an entire refund the following week. They really stepped up to correct the situaion!

As always the service call went well. Courteous technician who arrived on time, diagnosed the system, replaced the problem part, & even answered all of the annoying customer questions. Air Rescue has serviced ( and installed ) our ac unit for over 10 years now. We will continue to use their services as long as their customer service remains at its present level. I am rating this company at a high 10, We have also carried a maint. policy which provides for two services checks per year.
Description of Work: Hot & no air. Called Air Rescue & they dispatched a technician ( on Sunday, no extra charge). Tech arrived, problem diagnosed, part replaced - cold air again.

Our air conditioner stopped working on the Saturday night of Memorial Day weekend. We called them and left a message and someone called us back very soon thereafter. They sent someone out that night to fix the problem (at 11:30 p.m.). I was amazed they came out that quickly and on a holiday weekend. Technician (Matt) was great and very professional. They had to work outside our screened in backyard in the dark to fix part of the problem. Would definitely recommend them. 399858

As noted, work was fine. Technician was nice, but there is always a sales pitch at the end.
Description of Work: I am on the Silver maintenance plan (pay a monthly fee), so this was the scheduled service where they come clean the units, inspect, etc. In terms of speed of response and being a professional-type company, Air Rescue seems fine. The techs are reasonably knowledgeable and nice guys. However, expect LOTS of pressure from them on buying something new or installing UV light Biocide treatments or whatever else. There is always a sales pitch with the work. Job number 398093.

They have put in new duct work around the house, we have spent quite a bit with them but the last time they came out my husband felt we were treated with disrespect so he talked to the president. They didn't really listen, he got very agitated with them.

Member, I listened to the phone conversations as well as read over the notes on the account. The original concern is that the technician that came to your home you were not satisfied with him and had a concern in regards to the visit. We immediately had a manager call in regards to this to address the concern. At that time, the client was requesting the cancellation of the club membership which we were agreeing to do, but as the contract states we do need something in writing. There was no arguement that we would cancel the membership but we do have procedures and the concern was that we could not cancel the membership without sendint the written request. We want to apologize for any inconvenience with this. We were not trying to be difficult in doing so it is just that there has to be a signature to sign up for the membership. As well as a signature to cancel as it states on the membership that you sign as part of the agreement. We have received the request and cancelled it the same day. We did handle the issue with the representative on our end and appreciated you letting us know there was a concern with them. We also tried to compensate and rectify the concern with you but everything we offered was declined. If you have any further concerns, or if you can think of anything we can do for your inconvenience please let us know. Thank you.

We replied to an add for a seasonal AC system check for approx. $59. The technician did basically a hoseing of the outside unit and check the inside unit. My problem with this visitis that is was nothing more than to try and sell me other services and additions to our system like a Biocide system, a evaporator coil cleaning , a florida breakdown prevention kit, ect.. totaling $2300. The system is running perfect but yet they seem to think I should add $2300. to it! How many people today can do that?

Member, Thank you for having our company out to do the cleaning on the air conditioning system. I saw in the comments that the technician just hosed the unit out? If that is the situation we definitely need to send someone out the double check that to see if the rest of the tune up was complete. It shows he was there for a little over 2 hours by our gps, during that time he should have been cleaning the unit, inspecting it and lubricating all the moving parts. The tuneup normally takes approximately 60-90 minutes and there is a full checklist of what they are supposed to do. If you feel he didnt complete the full tune up please give us a call and we will have someone go out and redo it for you at no charge. The technicians are supposed to offer new products and services available to our customers but they are just suggestions. We have found in the past that other customers were upset when something we had available for them that would prolong the life of the unit wasnt mentioned, so we offer them to every client and it is completely up to you what you would like to invest in your system. Please do not feel in any way that you are obligated to purchase these items. We want you to be a happy customer and if you do not want to know about these items, just let the technician know at the beginning of the service and if he finds any issues he will just notate them to the invoice as he is required to do without verbalizing it to you. The last time we came to your house was almost a year ago in July 2011. At that time, we diagnosed the system that the evaporator coil was leaking and was low on freon. We could not add the freon because at that time you told us that you could not repair the problem with the coil leaking and any freon we would have put in would have just leaked back into the atmosphere which is bad for the environment. There are regulations against adding freon to a system with a known leak without the customer commiting to fix the leak. Air conditioners are a CLOSED system and unlike gas for your car, you should never have to add freon to it. If you do, then there is a leak. Any company that would add freon to your system without letting you know why it is leaking or even knowing it is going to leak out is against regulations and not working by the books. That could possibly be why their prices came in lower than our quotes? If there was an issue with our service, it is always better to contact the company immediately to see what they can do for you. You cancelled your club membership 1 week after we came out to look at the system. I myself called you to see if there were any issues I could try to resolve with you or any concerns you may have leaving messages and this is the first point of contact I have had with you since.

I would reccomend company for new AC Unit. 10 years and it no longer worked/was contracter grade/Electric bills got high..Poured new concrete pad for new unit/. that was unexpected.Service Men considerate>cover shoes.AC Bills lower since installed. # 529213

We have used Air Rescue for several years to service our old AC system. They had notified us that, while the system was still serviceable, it would not be long before it failed. They were right. Within a few months, a reversing valve froze up and the system shut down. Replacement would have cost $1,500 with no guarantee the system would not fail again. We elected to install a new energy efficient Amana system with a special air filtration system through Air Rescue and they did a great job. Their technicians were on time, thorough in their work and we received several follow up calls to ensure that things were done to our satisfaction. We will continue to use Air Rescue in the future and may have them install a new system in our condominium next. We would highly recommend them.
Description of Work: Removed a 12 year old AC system and replaced it with a more energy efficient Amana system (Job # 397367).

Air Rescue installed a new system last year. Clean ducts, New handler,Compressor and thermostat. They did a great job! A couple of surprises ( as with any big job) but the issues were resolved promptly and without having to renegotiate the job. This years visit was annual service. Eddie, the tech, did an outstanding job despite my hovering and asking questions. He performed the necessary tasks in a timely and professional manner all the while cheerfully answering my questions.

I felt violated and completely played for a fool by the salesperson. It was a Friday afternoon so he basically broke the system, created a leak and then tried to sell me a new A/C system for $12,000. It was one of the most disappointing experiences of my life and would never recommend the service to anyone. They should be reported as predators to consumers!

Member, I reviewed your account today. You said that we came out and created a leak and then tried to replace the air conditioning system. I am a little confused, because I listened to your first initial contact with our company and you called in a concern that the unit wasn't cooling properly and another company already told you that you had a leak. This was before we ever even came to your home to look at your air conditioner. So if another company told you there was leak prior to us, how could we have created this problem? Also in the phone conversation, you said that you wanted us to come check the leak and go over replacement options on the air conditioning system. Not as in the review it was put that we created a problem with the unit and then tried to turn it into a sale, it was requested before we ever went out. I would be happy to send you the phone conversation that you had with our representative if you would like. I am sorry if you were unhappy with our service. We diagnosed the system for you and gave an estimate on replacement as requested. If it was a pricing issue, we do try to be competitive with other companies in our area, but we are the oldest and largest company in Tampa Bay and have the best warranites and services available so at times we do come out a little more than the competition. Technician responded promptly on a Friday evening @8PM. Proved to be thoroughly knowledgeable and an expert in diagnosing and repairing the problem. I was pleasantly surprised to see that he did not try to sell me anything additional as many other companies have done in the past. I would highly recommend Air Rescue base on my current experience. THE GENERAL MAINTANCE WAS FINE.THE U.V. REPLACEMENT WAS FINE.THE HONEYWELL PRO 8000 TOUCH SCREEN THERMOSTAT INSTALLATION AND PROGRAMMING WAS A DISASTER AND DONE INCORRECTLY. THE TECHNICIAN WAS NOT FAMILIAR WITH THIS THERMOSTAT.

We had a great experience.We have used Air Rescue for a number of years for semi-annual maintenance and preventative maintenance.Over the years we've upgraded the ducting in our home and had the UV sanitizer bulb installed.This visit was timely and Allen had only a couple of recommendations. I received no "hard sell" from him and will continue to use Air Rescue for my future air conditioning needs.
Description of Work: We had Allen Lette' come out and perform our regular twice a year service.We had our UV air sanitizer bulb replaced as it was about one year over due.The temp in the air handler, returns and rooms was checked and the outside unit got a thorough going over.

Tired of the ripoff and deceitfulness.
Description of Work: They are responsive and punctual. They are professionals at upselling and being deceitful. Thousands of dollars overall spent with this company, all the way back to when they were simply Sheppard. Installed original unit when home was built in 1992. They were the only company we used. Had annual service. By 2009 we had installed what was the third unit, along with UV biocide equipment. It took too long to realize that our busy lives kept us from recognizing the rip off. Annual "memberships" we purchased. And bought into their constant upsell. Finally we got smart and began questioning. Started looking up reviews and checking with the BBB. Wow. What a ripoff company. Last week when I called them out for routine equipment check they advised me I no longer had a "membership". I knew that. I did not renew last year because I was tired of it. A loyal customer for 20 years, three A/C units, who bought into the upsell tactics isn't good enough? Anyway, the guy came out and tried to upsell me another $1500. Oh, but he could discount some if I renewed my membership! He also told me I was down 2 lbs of freon. I was ill listening to this guy. I told him no. No several times as he kept telling me how critical it was for me to take care of the items he outlined. I paid the service call and sent him on his way. Called out another company. Unit was fine... fixed some items that the other guy didn't address like insulation that had come loose in a box and he glued and taped it back in place. My freon was just fine. Didn't need anything this guy tried to sell me. We now wonder if we needed the two replacement units we purchased over the years. Looking around the internet, I see where many feel that they were sold equipment when it was not needed. Good bye Air Rescue. I've been screwed enough over the years. No more.

Joh showed up on time and performed his job very professionally. He told me I needed a Dual capacitor which I had him install. He left the job site clean and tidy.
