ADT Security Svc Inc - Tampa

Will definitely be using this company to monitor our home security for the future. They have already proven how quickly they respond when my husband inadvertently activated the alarm when coming home from work yesterday.

Have had service with them for many years (including the maintenance contract). The techs are very professional. However the service contract is useless if the system develops a major problem. They pick and choose what will be covered. Fortunately I was not under a long term contract, so I was able to cancel without a major financial penalty. If you are under a multi year contract the cancellation penalties are astronomical.

I called numerous times, and spoke to a number of representatives, both in-house at ADT, and with authorized service companies. After hours on the phone and time spent meeting with reps in person, there has never been an acceptable solution.

Company's competence and responsiveness is abysmal. Alarm problem reported Jan 2nd. Company has sent technician out to repair SAME problem 6 times. As of Feb. 14th, problem still not resolved. Burglar alarm has not been working since Jan. 2nd.

The sales representative came to my house an was very informative, gave the pricing as stated in a flyer I received, plus $50 AAA discount that I was not aware of. The installation was professional.

He was very honest with me. I have a contract with them as well.

They were very solution oriented and punctual!

I hired this company because my existing system is with them. First, I had to call over three times to get someone to give me an estimate. It took over two weeks to get the parts in and scheduling service was hard as their system seems complicated. They called me over 10 time in 3 days to tell me that the part arrived, and they needed to schedule a time to come in. Once I schedule the call, they kept calling to schedule the same call. In addition to that issue, I found it to be a little expensive. On a positive note, Their technician was very knowledgeable and was able to answer all my questions.

INSTALLATION WAS QUICK AND PROFICIENT WITH MINIMAL DISRUPTION OF LOOK TO DOORS and WALLS. CALLS ARE PROMPT WHEN ACCIDENTAL SET OFFS OCCUR.

I was given wrong information about the alarm malfunction when it first occurred. Two appointments I made with ADT to come out to look at the alarm problem were no shows. Only when I called a supervisor to cancel my account did someone come out. The ADT rep ran some tests to make sure it was working, but right after he left, an alarm was set off even though the rep had called it in as a system test. I was unexpectedly visited by the fire department and police. I've made numerous calls to the company to cancel the system and get my money back. The only time I get calls back is if I get a hold of the supervisor on the phone. I'm still waiting them to remove the cell guard and refund my money.

They have performed very well, not flawlessly, but very well over the 8 years we've subscribed to the service. The installation technician, as well as the service technician are both very professional and knowledgeable.

I FINALLY FOUND OUT THAT I HAD TO CALL MY PHONE COMPANY TO GET THE ISSUE STRAIGHTENED OUT. I FEEL THEY SHOULD BE TAKING CARE OF THE ISSUE, BUT THEY REFUSED. I AM GOING TO HAVE TO PAY THE PHONE COMPANY TO COME OUT AND FIX THE PROBLEM, EVEN THOUGH IT WAS NOT MY FAULT. I JUST WISHED THAT SOMEONE HAD EVEN APOLOGIZED FOR THE TROUBLE. IM SURE THEIR ALARMS ARE FINE, BUT THEY DONT SEEM TO KNOW WHAT THEY ARE DOING AROUND SPECIAL PHONE LINES.

I would never be without a security system. When my husband is out of town this system gives us peace of mind. We do monthly checks to make sure our system is working properly and the company calls us to alert when the batteries are low, or if the power goes out. Very reliable company.

THE EXTRA CHARGE I PAY FOR MAINTENACE IS WELL WORTH THE COST. IF A BATTERY, ETC. NEEDS SERVICING, ADT IS QUICK TO RESPOND.
