A DiChristopher Appliance Service

My house was hit by lightning, and they were able to handle everything with regards to the refrigerator even though I had to get a new refrigerator because it was damaged by the lightning. I would rate them highly overall and would recommend them.

This was the second time we had used this company. The last time it was at our home , this time at a rental unit that we have. As always Don was very prompt and friendly.Don seems to know his business very thoroughly. Whenever we have an appliance problem he is the one we will call.

This is the third time we have used DiChristopher. They always do an outstanding job. I thought the labor portion of the price was a little high, but knew they would do a good job on the install, so I used them. Very professional.

Everything went well. Job was hendle with perfection. Very pleased.

We called DiChristopers and spoke with Allison at 10.45 on 9/19/11. We explained the problem. She said the repairman could probably come the same day. Thier repairman, Don, called to confirm he would be there same day and would call before coming. He called at noon that he was on his way. By 12.30 p.m my dryer was in working condition. Don installed a new Flame Sensor, which he had on his truck. This company was most accommodating. Don was very polite and professional.

Overall, a very positive experience. I had to reschedule because of a business problem and we made a new appointment within the next couple of days. They were prompt about getting back to me and the service was excellent and fairly priced. I would have no problems using them again and/or recommending them to anyone who needs small appliance repair.

They came out when they said they would and repaired my refrigerator in short order.

Don looked at the equipment, showing me how, if there were a leak causing my melted ice rather than a malfunctioning icemaker, using a flashlight would reveal the leak through the door. He determined it was likely the maker itself that was the problem, and replaced it on-the-spot. He reviewed with me the temperature adjustments I might need to make, but communicated confidence that my longstanding and increasing problems would be resolved with the replacement. He was correct, and I am happy to finally have an icemaker that I do not have to "unjam" every day. He answered my questions, discussed repair history issues, and changed one of the bulbs, which I hadn't even realized had burned out.

She was knowledgeable over the phone. When I described my concerns over the phone, she said a plumber was needed and not an appliance repair. Because of this, I would be willing to use them in the future.

Techinician arrived on time. Quickly diagnosed the problem and made the fix. So for no problems.

They are very prompt and friendly. 2 men came to perform the service. This is the 4th time I have used them and will continue to do so. I have never had to call them back for the same problem. They fix it right the first time.

Don has come out several times to repair different appliances - at first, it was through our home warranty company. He is thorough, fully explains things, and he gives very helpful information if he sees something else that looks like a concern. We have since called him on things that are not under our warranty service, and we have never been disappointed. He is extremely conscientious & seems very honest.

It was a great experience. He was very fast and efficient. He brought an assistant that he seemed to be teaching. They were both dressed professionally and looked very clean cut. I felt very comfortable having them in my home. He paid close attention to everything he did and was very conscientious about everything. He let very little water get on the floor and when it did get on the floor, he was quick to get it cleaned up. He was very organized and just fabulous! It was all done very well and I had no problem whatsoever. He was also very reasonably priced and honored the Angie's List discount of 10% off.

The refrigerator in our garage had completely stopped running. We called and a service call was made the next morning. The refrigerator was fixed and running when they left.

Our dishwasher had been performing poorly for some time. I searched Angie's List for a repair shop, and found the great reviews on DiChristopher Appliance Service. I called and made an appointment, and Anthony came out 2 days later. He diagnosed the problem quickly, and ordered the parts on the spot. When they arrived 2 days later, Anthony came out and completed the work right away. Anthony was very professional and super helpful, not only in the actual repair, but by going above and beyond. I mentioned that the dishwasher leaked occasionally, and he said that he had noticed and had already fixed that too without me having to ask! He also made recommendations to get rid of the hard water film that we were experiencing. The dishwasher now runs perfectly and we are happy to have clean dishes!

They did a very prompt and good job. They were very professional and they didn’t try to push things which needn’t be done. They were very pleasant and explained things and I thought that was really good. I really appreciate them and would recommend them. They were very nice. I would rate them high overall. I will be using their services for a dish washer repair and I would definitely continue to use them in the future.

Arrived the same day I called.

I replaced the water filter on my refrigerator, but was unable to get it to recognize that a new filter had been installed. Ice maker was not working, so I thought that it would not work without having a clean filter installed. My service tech examined the situation, and was able to reset the filter recognition within minutes. He also checked ice maker, and found debris that caused it to stop functioning. That was also fixed within a few minutes. This tech (the owner), was very courteous, professional, and on time. I would definitely use this company again for any appliance repairs, at fair prices.

I own a townhome that was hit at the transformer by lightening. The refrigerator was affected and he came right out and repaired both parts. I appreciated his instant response and taking care of the problem.

They're really go and I recommend them. They are on time and very professional. They are great, they do really good work.

Update: The fact that the company was late is not the issue; I had to call the company to find out how much longer I was expected to wait?other companies take the time to notify their customers when they are running behind. I don?t appreciate the comment by the company, ?She seems a bit confused about the workings and dangers of a dryer.? What was I confused about? I called this company because I had a problem with the dryer airflow; I am more knowledgeable than this company portrays?so I?ve provided a more detailed description of the service below. I can appreciate, the company?s response that they, ?thoroughly clean out all lint from inside of the dryer to make sure the customer does not have a fire in their dryer.? for liability reasons. What I have a problem with is that they don?t tell you they are going to charge you until you feel you have no option to deny service. More detailed description of the service: As the technician and I were entering the home, I told him we had already run the duct cleaning brush through the duct in the wall, had cleaned up any lint behind the dryer, and replaced the hose from the dryer to the wall. As he turned the dryer on/off, looked inside the drum and looked at the lint screen in the dryer, he stated that it was definitely an airflow problem and he would recommend someone who could get the entire duct system cleaned out all the way to the roof. The technician suggested that I call the other contractor to set up an appointment since it was a fire hazard to use the dryer in its current condition. As I told him I needed to grab my calendar from downstairs (and went to retrieve it) he tells me that he is going to disassemble the dryer to clean out any lint in the dryer due to the backup. When I got back upstairs with my calendar, he had unscrewed the screws from the bottom front panel and was looking in with a flashlight. He said he would clean the vent out and I asked him how he was going to do that and he said that he would vacuum it out. I asked him if it was something I could do myself, he said I could but he would still have to charge me the $89 since he had already ?disassembled? (removed the few screws from the front panel) and he was there anyway. He then goes on to tell me he?d give me a discount and only charge me $78.00. Irritated, I went into my son?s bedroom (next to the laundry room) and called the other contractor that this technician referred to me; I was able to make an appointment for the following day. The technician from DiChristopher Appliance Service proceeded to literally vacuum out the lower part of the dryer (where the panel was removed) with a nozzle hose on the vacuum. He returned and screwed in the panel again and gathered his things. We went downstairs and I gave him his payment of $78.00 NOTE: Since this was my boyfriend?s house?payment was made, however, if this were a situation where I would?ve had to pay it?I wouldn?t have. $78 may not seem like a lot of money to this company but for a single mom, I never would have been able to just throw out that money without planning ahead of time. The other contractor (referred by DiChristopher Applicance Service) came out the next day and cleaned out the dryer, behind the dryer, the entire duct system from the dryer to the roof and even removed the screen that was clogged on the roof?all that for $90.00! So I strongly feel that the charge by DiChristopher Appliance Service Inc. of $78.00 for removing/replacing a few screws and vacuuming out the bottom of the dryer without prior approval/notification of such fee was unprofessional.

We had a leak under the sink we thought was coming from the garbage disposal. I called DiChristopher's at about 4 p.m. and within 15 minutes Don was at my door and ready to work. He discovered the leak was coming from a coupling of pipes from the disposal and not the disposal itself. He had the parts in his truck and within minutes he had quoted a price, made the repair and double checked it. Couldn't be happier.

My 10-yr old washing machine had developed a small leak under the machine. I called DiChristopher, and got through right away; no waiting for a return call. The quickest appt was about 4 days later. This wasn't an emergency since the machine only leaked a little (less than a gallon) and only when being used. DiChristopher's called the next morning abut a cancellation, so they will try to work you in sooner if they can. The service man arrived on time with good identification. He was also pretty sharp about checking out the washer. It was obvious he had done this a LOT of times. He found the broken pump in about 5 minutes, and took the time to show me how it had been leaking for a while. He suggested a replacement part together with the cost. The price seemed in-line and he had one in stock in the truck. While he was getting the part, I got some glass cleaner and cleaned up the inside parts of the machine that are usually hidden. He installed the pump quickly and reassembled the washer. When getting ready to re-connect it to the water supply, he mentioned that the rubber hosing could be replaced with stronger connectors (the washer is 10 years old), and since the price was very low (under $20) I opted to get those too. Let me mention that I was also getting the water connections in the housed re-plumbed at the same time as the washer repair. Although both service guys had to work in the same small space, they didn?t have any trouble. I had forgotten that DiChristopher had a coupon on Angie?s list, but when I mentioned I had found them on Angie?s list, he said that all members get a discount and applied it to the bill right there. Getting things repaired is always stressful, but DiChristopher actually made it fun. I would highly recommend them to everyone I know, and they are now on my house list.

I originally got their name from AL when I needed a repair on the refrigderator. I was very pleased with their service and contacted them again for the dishwasher repair. I called Saturday and requested they make the appointment for February 7, 2011. Anthony called and stated he was running early and asked if he could come earlier than the appointment. I agreed and he arrived. He was able to complete the repair within 20 minutes. He was very efficient. He explained the pricing before he began the work. He also explained the problem and mentioned that the motor that he was installing the unit was a redesigned one and would last longer than the older motor. He tested the dishwasher to make sure everything was running correctly before leaving. If I had a chance to have someone to pay for service contract and for me to use a large corporate repair shop or DiChristophers, I would choose DiChristophers. It is the personal touch and integrity of the business that makes it worth its wait in gold. I highly recommend them to anyone who needs appliances repaired as well.
