Our washing machine drain was overflowing so I called Smith plumbing as we had called on them before and were very satisfied with their work. The plumber was courteous and on time. I started a load of clothes and on draining showed him how it was filling up the drain line and stopped it when it was about to overflow. He got the snake out and went to the roof and cleared the line. We ran the washing machine through the rinse cycle with no backup or overflow. I was a happy man. I asked if he could replace washers and O rings in the bathroom valves. He said he was due at another appointment but a plumber probably could be scheduled to come by the next day. So I called and they scheduled a visit for the next day with no problem. Again the plumber was on time and completed the work on the faucets in the bathrooms in a timely manner. I am very satisfied with Smith Plumbing and will call on them again if the need arises.

Kenny and Chris and all of Smith Plumbing are fantastic.  They were punctual for the estimate, even coming in the pouring rain to give me a free estimate.  He ended up being slightly higher priced than the other providers I got estimates from but that's because Kenny was the only one to recommend the larger water heater size because he said that's what was needed for my home.  After I priced everything out online he was actually pricing me lower than retail and none of the other provider's could have matched his price on the bigger tank he gave me.  I'm really glad he made that recommendation because he was absolutely right, the smaller tank everyone wanted to sell me would not have been enough for my house.  
They made several trips to install items through no fault of their own.  Some of my items didn't come in when they should have so Smith's was great about coming every time I needed them to install a new component and didn't charge me any extra for the hassle.
They also were very prompt in troubleshooting a leak that we had because of the cheap fireplace logs I bought.  They identified it quickly and got me in touch with another provider in town to get good logs that wouldn't spring a leak like the crappy ones I bought.
Overall this was a wonderful experience and I've already referred them to two neighbors and a co-worker all of who had work done that they are very pleased with.  You can't go wrong with Kenny and Smith's Plumbing!

The service person responded within 24 hours, and came out and checked the old water heater for leaks, and determined that it was around the top element, and did not warrant economical repair, as it was in the tank. He had a standard water heater on the truck, a 50 gallon model, that was adequate for replacement.  I considered putting in a propane gas tank, but due to the time without hot water, and the need for a special order (another 3-4 days), we went back with the electric model. The replacement went well, and in about one hour, we had hot water on the way. Installation and delivery of the tank charges was about what was anticipated for an install in the garage, so I was pleased.  These people respond, keep their promises, and do not overcharge. I am grateful for that.

The plumber was knowledgeable, proficient and courteous. He had all the tools and parts with him to get the job done. I am  very happy with the quality of the work. I will be scheduling another repair with Smith Plumbing soon. I certainly recommend them.

I'm disappointed.  I first called them to repair my water main and they did an excellent job and were very prompt.  Months later, I was replacing the toilet internals when I found a leak in the water shut off valve on one toilet.  Not having a blowtorch and such, I called them, and while the plumber was there, he asked about replacing the toilet internals.  I had only done one at the time, but since he was there, I thought I'd have him do the other with his own, more expensive parts.  Less than a year later, the flapper and bowl to tank seals both began leaking.  I'd have them come back out, but I have no idea if they warrant their work, and I'd have to take more time off work.
Instead, I'll replace everything myself, because non-plumber me fixed one toilet that is working perfectly, while the other toilet is leaking in at least two places.  I find that very disappointing and can't recommend them based on my mixed experiences.

Plumber did not replace the water valve when he came to house. Instead he invoiced us a service call fee of $127.50 and said for an additional $350.00 he would fix the problem. We told them not to come back.

 We had the valve replaced for $120.00 total by a different plumber. It would have cost us $477.50 if we had not checked into this plumbing problem on our own. Do not trust Smith Plumbing to give honest pricing.

"Unfortunately, this customer does not understand plumbing and troubleshooting. Via her management company, our tech was called out to REPAIR a leaking valve. He tried to troubleshoot and fix her valve without her having to replace it. That takes time and that is our policy, to make sure a fixture is damaged beyond repair before the customer has to buy a new one. Had we gone out and just said "you need a new one" without trying to first find a repair solution for the existing one, that would not have been well received either. Upon determining that the valve did in fact have to be replaced, the price she was given to replace the valve with the same quality she currently had (LABOR + MATERIALS + VALVE). I find it difficult to believe that she was able to replace this valve for $120. Most LICENSED PLUMBING CONTRACTORS have a minimum hourly rate of at least $80 per hour, so I seriously doubt she got the cost of the valve plus the labor cost for $120 from a licensed plumber. This customer is disgruntled with her management company. Unfortunately, we were caught in the cross fire. We wish her well."

Smith Plumbing was fantastic. They made sure the job was done right and I would definitely hire them again if I had a plumbing issue. They replaced my main water line, the damage to my lawn was minimal and the job was done quickly.

We are preparing to put our home on the market, and my husband accidentally nailed into a water pipe in our bathroom while fixing some trim.  We could hear the water spraying out of the pipe within the wall.  We immediately came to Angie's List in search for an emergency plumber to come and fix the pipe.  Within a few hours, a technician arrived and the pipe was fixed within an hour.  It ended up costing a lot less than we thought it would, and we were pleased with the responsiveness and service.

Everything went well. I was in a pinch because my neighbor had turned the water valve to the house off to stop the leak. Because I didn't have water, Mr. Smith rearranged his mens' schedule and made my house Chris's first job. Chris got right to work and quickly identified the problem for me.

Upon calling the company I got a quick response in a return call from the owner to set up a day and time to fix the problems in the hous. Chris arrived on time and went straigt to work after I explained the problem.  It took about 2-3 hours and I am happy to be back in my bathroom again.  We have more minor plumbling problems and I will certainly call upon them again later.Talle

I retrieved the information for my mother from Angie's List and from what my mother told me she was very pleased with the service.  She said that Chris responded quickly to her initial phone call and was able to come the same day she called.  Chris also kept her apprised of his arrival time.  When Chris looked at the garbage disposal it was determined that it had rusted due to non-use and needed to be replaced.  He gave my mother two options and she chose to have a new garbage disposal put in. My mother stated that she would highly recommend Smith's Plumbing to her friends and would definitely use them again if the need arises.
