We have been in business for 35 years. I ,Jake McGrath owner,am at the shop every day.I test drive and diagnose every car and then we run a free brake check. That way the customer knows exactly what is wrong and what the cost is before they spend the first penny. We are also painfully aware that most people are on very tight budgets. With this in mind we try to segment the repairs that are needed. If you have a few months left on the brakes on one end we let you know it.We are not afraid of the customer going elsewhere later ,for those delayed repairs,because they remain loyal to us for decades. We are so confident of our reputation that we suggest that you ask anyone who has been here and they will tell you good things about us.We have such a strong repeat customer base that we have not advertised in over 15 years. I am old fashioned and believe in word of mouth to keep us busy.

Jake's is the best for brakes. Super-professional and knowledgeable. If you only need the front brakes, they always let you know. My family and I have been going there for 25 years+. So good to have a shop you can trust--I wish I had a go-to shop like this for everything.

I was not impressed with their service. Their price was good but their services were not as good. The price was very cheap. They were very reasonable with their prices. They try hard on their customer service perspective. But I think they missed a mark on being able to perform service correctly.

Once Jake's brakes looked at the brake lines and determined that they would not be able to do the repairs needed, they referred me to another service provider who did the work and repaired the vehicle. Jake's Brakes did not charge me for the service visit and the business they referred me to did an outstanding job on the repair. Not many businesses left who care about their customers......Jake's Brakes is one of those......very family oriented and fair!!

They were courteous, professional, and upfront about wait times and kept me notified about what they found and solutions they saw fit. They couldn't fix certain things that deal with the electronics system of my car but gave me good info that I should be able to pass on to the dealerships mechanics.

My father had recommended Jake's Brakes to me and told me they were honest. He was right. I am so impressed with the service I received from them. I went in around 10 am needing my brakes checked. They were very busy but still managed to get my car back to me within a couple of hours. They worked hard to get it done before 1 pm when I needed my car back, it was even done by noon. The price was also reasonable. The other thing I really liked is they told me my back brakes were still good for another year or so...they could have told me they needed to be replaced also but they didn't and I feel like they were very honest and will definitely return and recommend them to others.

Firstly, they are honest which is really important in this business and secondly they do a good job. They also provide an unwritten guarantee, so if you have problem with your brakes and if you bring it back, they would take care of it. The last time I went in there, they told me I didn’t need anything done for another ten thousand miles and so I did not spend anything. They are a local and a reliable business. They don’t have any big ads or confusing offers like some other places have.

These guys know what they're doing, they're honest, and they're completely fair on pricing. We thought it was time to replace the front and rear brakes on our vehicle, yet we were told that the rear brakes still had a couple years left on them. It's nice that they’re that honest to help their customers save money. We're 100% satisfied with Jakes and we highly recommend them!
