I was expecting a different problem after having the battery tested the previous day at a national chain which told me that it was getting a charge. I was expecting an alternator or starter after talking to the national chain. I didn't wont to stay for the auto experts to fix the car so they drove me home as opposed to waiting around. They called me within the hour with the news and sent another car out to pick me up and bring me back

Professional and quick service. A little expensive but good quality. Never felt like they were trying to "get over" on the single girl.

They are pretty good. They are very responsive and they will stand by their work. They replaced an idle speed motor in a truck about two months ago and the first one was bad so they replaced it. The second one was giving me fuel problems so they went ahead and replaced it. It was still under warranty and it has worked fine since. They stand by their work.

The car inspection I received was thorough. They missed a couple of very minor problems (e.g. one dome light out, cassette deck not working) but nothing serious. I ended up buying the car that I had taken for inspection, and I have been happy with it. Auto Xperts found one minor transmission issue (leaky pan) in the inspection, which I got repaired at a different shop (where I had a credit).
Prior to this, I had taken my previous old clunker to Auto Xperts for diagnosis of a transmission noise. Knowing it was an old vehicle and that I didn't want to spend a lot on it, they recommended disconnecting the actuator for the gearbox (in the 4WD system) that was causing the noise problem - which was fine, since I didn't have to be able to activate 4WD to drive the car. I ended up getting rid of that vehicle not long after (due to engine problems) - and was happy that at least the Auto Xperts guys hadn't recommended some expensive transmission repair that would have been wasted anyway, since the engine had not very much life left.
This is a good example of how these guys look out for their customers; they don't try to hard-sell you some expensive repair that you don't really need. I appreciate that. These guys will always be one of the first places I think of going whenever I have a car problem.

I have used Auto Xperts (this location) previously, and have always had a good outcome. But this time I was especially pleased, because they saved me a ton of time and money. I had been having a loud front-end noise off and on for the last couple of weeks. The first mechanic I took it to thought it was a bad bearing, and he replaced the bearing and axle, but clearly this wasn't really the cause of the noise, because the exact same noise started occurring again the very next day. Then I took it to a dealership, and they said the problem was with the front differential gearbox, and offered to either replace the gearbox for $1,700, or replace both my front hubs with 2WD hubs, for $1,000. Hardly worth it for a 1998 car, especially on top of the $500 already spent at the first mechanic. So, instead, I took my car to Auto Xperts, since I had had good experiences with them before. They proposed a very clever dead-simple solution which didn't require buying any new parts - they simply removed the front axles (except a small part which remained in the hubs), so that the wheels would no longer be turning anything inside the front differential when rolling. They also disabled the 4WD actuator, so that I wouldn't accidentally shift into 4WD (since all the fluid was drained out of the differential when the axles were removed). This effectively converts the car to 2WD, but I didn't mind, since I hardly ever use the 4WD anyway. They got my car in right away, and did this all while I waited; all I had to pay for was the 3 hours of labor. And it completely fixed the problem. Makes me wish I just had taken my car to them in the first place!!
