Had a mini-split unit installed for a first-floor bonus room. The condenser was a Carrier product that ARS facilitated the purchase through Home Depot. The condenser did not work although it was new out the box. It took me continually calling and three months for ARS to finally replace the condenser with another new unit which works perfectly. Note: ARS was dealing with Carrier not wanting to replace the unit... but that pain was felt at the customer level (me) when it should not have been. The contractors that they send out are professional and courteous and follow all protocols during COVID-19.

They came out right away and I had issues with the gas water heater to the point we couldn’t replace another gas one. He gave me options that even cost me less and had it done the next day! He was very friendly and easy to work with. Would recommend them totally for anyone needing their help.

They have a great team going. The salesperson was great, not too pushy at all and very reasonable; "down to earth" type guy. The installers were very professional and did an amazing job. Best of all was the girl in customer service at their office, so friendly and understanding. Thank you!

We happened to be out of town and got a call that our AC was not cooling. I contacted several companies through Home Advisor for quotes. We had been told we had a significant leak and it would not be worth trying to fix. Upon returning home a couple of companies showed up to give us quotes. We were impressed with the ARS salesman and two installers came out the following day. We were told we needed to upgrade our electric as well and signed a contract for the entire job to be done. There were some issues, a technician was sent out, we had some follow-up work done. I did speak to a manager who got right on my concerns. However, I've have been unsuccessful in having this company respond to my additional inquiries to confirm the work was completed to our satisfaction. I want to be assured that the entire job was completed correctly between all parties involved and had a few follow-up finishing touches I wanted to discuss. After three attempts I decided to go back to home advisor. I'm sure we can all get on the same page. I paid for the entire job up front and don't feel like I'm asking too much to have them contact me to address my concerns. At this time I cannot recommend this company even though the technicians were exemplary.

Had ARS replace a 5-ton AC unit in my home. The rooms on the ends of the home were not getting good air flow after the AC was installed. Asked them to check it before leaving the property. The tech said the ducts were in great condition and that there was no leaks. I noticed he must have conducted a physical inspection since there was never a thermal gun or infrared tool in his hands. Had another AC company check it out. The Ducts were in bad shape and they even went as far as checking inside the ducts to show me their findings. The ducts were pretty disgusting which ARS had previously stated were in great condition. The other company also went as far as using their thermal gun to get an idea of the temperature through the vents. This other company ended up replacing my ducts. A few days later, I had ARS come out to check the AC to ensure it was not being overworked. They saw that the AC coils had insulation stuck in it. The tech said that it must've been when the other company replaced the ducts. Rather than clean the AC (a 10 minute job) since ARS would be the ones conducting maintenance on the AC anyway, he opted with asking me to call the other AC company to clean out the insulation from the AC coils. This shows that this company is more interested in "turf wars" with other competing AC companies instead of taking care of their customer. I ended up calling the other AC company and they happily came by and cleaned up the AC coils at no charge by the way...that was Scotts One Hour Air. If you have a company and are not willing to go the extra mile to keep customers then you are in the wrong business.

The person who called me, Finn, gave me a quote over the phone that fell in my price range for a replacement water heater. I intended to get 3 quotes but was going to have to pay 1 of the other services for a site visit and losing an additional day or two was worth whatever I may have potentially saved. Additionally, they were able to have the water heater installed the same day. When an issue came up Finn called me and actually visited the job site to help solve. I was able to pay over the phone and was given a discount because I used Home Advisor. Great overall experience. Finn embodies the definition of Customer Service that is lacking in so many other places.

ARS called me very quickly. Jacob Stein (sales manager) was prompt He answered many questions, was competent and explained all options. He even waited while another company was diagnosing the problem. We decided to change out the old mismatched ac system. I selected the system that I had in mind. The techs, Francier and Lenyer , were skilled and very courteous. They missed nothing and did not mind me looking over their shoulder. Their professionalism was fantastic, beyond my expectations. the system was exactly what I wanted.

Lesson learned I will never buy again from ARS; they put Used car salesmen to shame. When I called with my first complaint I was promised that a serviceman would be out in a few days to bring the (EAC) which is complete house filter and the serviceman would explain and demonstrate how to control and use the 2-tier portion of the compressor to control the humidity. First, they installed an EAC which is technically a filter and replacement filters that was supposed to come with the system was "forgotten" that service man also stated that the system would NOT work correctly until the duct work was corrected but also could not explain how to use the 2-tier system to control the humidity it was explained that would be corrected when they installed the new duct work. They sent numerous techs out on at least a dozen different occasions between the beginning of august and 08/27 /2019 finally installing the duct work even with a promised completion date of 8/23/2019 the complaints continued to the end of September additionally having contacted Home Depot Pro Dept Manager Benita by phone and returning to the store to fix this issue who in turn passed it off to Joe the head of the Pro external dept, the store manager Jesus was then requested assist in resolving the issue of the system not working properly.Two additional workmen arrived having no idea how to handle the issues at hand, standing around all day awaiting instruction.... because the incorrect crew was sent out and the following day, a drywall subcontractor arrived and unfortunately with the amount of days needed to babysit these contractors and having an important business meeting that couldn't be rescheduled we relied upon my elder father with the assistance of a contractor who was work in the kitchen to oversee the project knowing the house was under video surveillance we knew we knew we would be notified of anyone new entering the house or if any movement was detected in the rear of the home. We watched in horror and disgust at the video surveillance offering my contractor money to leave immediately for wages being offered by the ARS subcontractor and stating they wanted to "get" additional money out of the job as instructed by ARS from us as the homeowner. ARS was contacted immediately and requested if we would go into the office to show video documentation of what had transpired. Even after this incident and sending additional servicemen out with installing all new duct work, we were still faced with the issue of not only were the back bedrooms not getting cold, but the new system worked less efficiently than the old system!!!!! They sent several more service techs before Home Depot requested ARS General Manager Charlie along with The Home Depot district manager Ryan to come and examine the issue and see first hand what issues were transpiring in the household. First Charlie was late but at least he had someone call unfortunately Ryan the district manager of Home Depot decided to inform Charlie but not us that he would not be attending the meeting that was scheduled from the prior week. Charlie after examining the system admitted the system was installed incorrectly that the system was not working efficiently but also could not explain the two-tier system controls and how to use them properly????? I truly believe this is a scam this seems to be the perfect bait and switch that is backed by Home Depot and I do not believe this 3-ton 2 tier system even exists. I was told they do not make a 3 1/2-ton double stage. Put in a 4-ton 2 speed unit and fix the ductwork Upgrade the thermostat to a nest Pro, have duct that would pass inspection and pay our last 3 power bills or return our money. My elderly father who suffers from afib amongst several other medical conditions should not have to suffer ...
