Their service was very good and they did lot of follow up. And the operation was a success and the treatment after ward is highly effective. Their price is fair.

Our cat was vomiting virtually constantly. We heard that these guys were competent from someone. So we took her in for an evaluation. The doc who handled her case simply couldn't figure her out. She ran parasite tests and found nothing. She wormed her and it did nothing. Recommended a change in diet. We did that. No change..other than the vomiting seemed to get worst and more chronic as time went on. Finally she recommended another "procedure" which was a test for something called a "puke worm" Another fail. In doing research on the Internet, I learned that these symptoms are not an uncommon sign of irritable bowel syndrome and/or pancreatitis in cats  ...which is how it was finally correctly diagnosed by Primary Care Cat Clinic. The vet ran the proper test and prescribed prednisone. This turned the cat around literally immediately and the vomiting stopped for good. She hasn't vomited in months. Period. This is troubling. Obviously, I wouldn't recommend San Francis as a good place to take your cat.

Dr Collins performed electroacupuncture (acupuncture with electric current at specific spots) on both of my older dogs and you could see they stretched out and relaxed during the procedure.  She sat on the floor with them and continued to touch/pet them gently to help keep them calm.  I would recommend Dr Collins to anyone looking for a competent, empathetic, knowledgeable veterinarian.  I only wished she was closer, I drive an hour and 45 minutes for my dogs' treatment and it is well worth the drive.

Both of my German Shepherds are older (one is 12 and the other is 10).  They are experiencing arthritis and some limitation of movement in the rear legs.  Both dogs responded well to their treatment.  Both had more freedom of movement and seemed to relax during the treatment.  I would recommend this treatment for any pain issues with dogs.

Corey (dog) was seen by the veterinarian for a puncture wound on his leg and overall lethargy.  Antibiotics and pain medication were given.  Wound healed, but on follow up visit the lethargy was worse and he refused to eat.  Blood tests were done and a diagnosis of pancreatitis and diabetes was made.  He remained in the facility for 3-4 days for insulin and IV antibiotic therapy.  He was discharged on 2/6/15 with insulin.  The next day Corey had what seemed to be a seizure.  On 2/8/15 he passed away at home.  I notified Dr. Maynard, and he could not determine what else might have been going on.
I cannot say I was completely dissatisfied with the care, but 2 things did not sit well with me.  One being there is no staff during the night to oversee/observe the hospitalized animals, and the other was a lack of communication between staff.  One month after his passing I received a "Welcome to our practice" card for Corey.  I feel that was completely unprofessional, as the front desk was made aware of his death when I personally returned the diabetic supplies two weeks prior.  Aside from those issues, I feel that Dr. Maynard did what he could, and was also very understanding of my limited financial status.  He did offer to do a post, but I had already taken care of Corey's remains.  Whatever the cause, it will remain a mystery.
Overall, they were very accommodating when it came to getting him seen and treated.  I believe if I were to get another dog, I would use them again as long as there was no overnight treatment.

The veterinarians there are fantastic. They are very good and very reasonable. They don't charge you for an office visit if it's just for yearly shots or for heart worm tests as long as you're an established customer. They are excellent with my dogs, my dogs don't even mind going there. Sometimes they are too busy and it gets chaotic, that is the only problem I have. In the afternoon it's like chaos so I never go in the afternoon.
