Nelson is a refrigerator specialist, so he had the part I need in his own stock, which saved time. He was available to come the same day I called, and he was very punctual. My only warning is that you have to expect to pay accordingly for all of this. His labor for an easy repair (just replacing the control board which is easily accessible), was $180. Still, I would use him again.

Nelson Munoz was able to come to my house and diagnose the problem very quickly after only one electrical test. He was very nice and very professional and his visit lasted around 30 min. He told me that the main controller board for the freezer needed to be replaced and he also quoted me a price of $490.00 for the repair which included parts and labor which I agreed to. He did not have the part in his truck, so he said he would return with the part and repair the freezer the next day. I wrongly assumed that the reason for the high cost of the repair was the high cost of the control board, because there was no intense labor involved. According to Nelson, the repair was simple and only involved opening the refrigerator door, removing a panel in the front and replacing the control board inside, so I agreed. I also didn't ask how much the part would cost by itself. The next day he called before he arrived. He removed a panel, popped in the delicate circuit board (which was very tricky because it could easily break) after removing the old one and the freezer was fixed. He was present approximately 45 min or so. He gave me the 10.00 Angies list discount after writing up the bill in his truck. I admit that I didn't actually examine the bill until sometime after he gave it to me and departed, because I had already agreed upon the price. After he left I examined the bill and it showed $269.00 for the part and $225.00 for the labor! I understand that I am paying for his expertise, knowledge, and travel time, however the labor fee was excessive in my opinion for the work done. I would hire him again, however I will be more aware of his labor costs before agreeing to a price next time!

I called Best Refrigerator Repair to have it checked. He asked me for the make and model number of the refrigerator, which I texted to him. He called me shortly thereafter, asking if he could come right then. He came to the house and checked the refrigerator. He said that the circuit board and the compressor looked ok and that it was the starter that burned out. He replaced it with a new one; we started up the refrigerator & it cooled normally. It has been 2 months since the repair and the refrigerator is still working fine. FYI - He only repairs refrigerators and doesn't repair other appliances.

He knew what was wrong just from my conversation with him on phone. Came by, job was not the easiest. But, he took care of it very nicely. Very knowledgeable.

He is very nice He called with total order cost with tax and service. Made an appointment for two days later. Then he called he had a cancel one day prior and he came right over. It was a pleasure! He was very careful of surroundings.

It needed a valve replaced. No waiting for parts, etc and my fridge is about 25 years old. He was prompt, courteous, knowledgeable and professional. I had Sears service for many years. No comparison. He is, hands down, the best.

Problem fixed on the first try. Nelson was the epitome of professionalism which is something that is not seen often in Miami. He returned all calls promptly and worked with me when I had to reschedule. He arrived on time and knew what the problem was right away.

Nelson arrived on time and replaced the ice maker in a matter of minutes. He explained his theory about how the ice making mechanism broke and why it had to be replaced instead of repaired. Though I was not happy with the $324 bill to replace the ice maker, it was a fair price since the entire unit had to be replaced. My dissatisfaction with the price had nothing to do with the quality of Nelson's work. Apparently, all new ice makers have cheap plastic gears that lose teeth whenever the bar is touched or somebody places something in the ice tray other than ice. Nelson arrived promptly as promised and explained in clear terms the situation with the broken ice maker. He did not use jargon or try to baffle the customer with BS. He dressed professionally and cleaned up the area after completing his work. I will be more picky when choosing my next refrigerator and will ask specific questions about the plastic parts in the ice maker. I strongly recommend Nelson Munoz for whatever refrigerator repairs you may need.

Nelson was so courteous on the phone. I read all his great reviews, he came right to us yesterday and replaced the parts. He told us what had to be done, did it, told us what to expect as the freezer defrosted and how long to keep it off, cleaned up after himself, and left. It was an excellent experience all the way around, if I can say that with the irritation of the freezer part breaking!

Fantastic! Nelson came the same day we called on three different occasions. We have a 15+ year old fridge that came with the house - and after looking at all the crazy gadgets and electronics on newer models we decided to try and keep this one rather than add it to the landfill. On the first visit the fridge decided to be cold while he was here - so he didn't find the problem, but he fixed the water dispenser (which another repairman told us was not possible). The second visit he replaced the motor fan which had started to make a lot of noise and last visit was for the cooling issue which involved taking the entire freezer apart and defrosting the coils and replacing the thermostat. Nelson is very professional and conscientious. We highly recommend him and hope he will be around for another 37 years!

I got an honest answer and followed that advice. Happy i didn't try to have it repaired instead.
