He provided a fair estimate for the work and discussed how he planned to accomplish the work. He scheduled the work and met the schedule. Called ahead and was on time. He and his helper were courteous and professional. They accomplished the work within a timely fashion and the workmen ship was excellent. After fixing a known leak on my roof he inspected the entire roof on his on and repaired a couple of additional leaks with no extra charge. They wrapped up and cleaned up; no evidence that they had been here.

Our pillars on our front porch were cracking and the wooden bases were rotting. On our patio, the wooden bases on our posts were cracking. Mr. Kreis was very professional, friendly and upbeat with a good attitude. He was the only repairman out of four we contacted who actually gave us a fair price, knew what he was doing and actually showed up and completed the work. It was very hard for us to find someone who knew how to go about making the repairs and was willing to do the work for a fair price. It required digging out rotted wood at the bases of columns and cutting new wood to fit under them. I indicated the work was not an emergency situation when we contacted him in May. He actually completed the work in mid July while we were on vacation. The completed work was great and exactly what we wanted. He also was immaculate in cleaning up afterwards. Mr. Kreis was not intrusive at all while doing the work. We will definitely consider him for future home repairs.

He did a great job. The house is a rental and I was having it prepared for the next tenant. He picked up on several things I missed telling him about like the wood rot on the outside and electrical plate in the garage ceiling. There were a couple of small things I showed him I thought he included in the job like removing labels off the floor molding that but he said he didn't releazie I wanted him to take care of it. He suggested some goof off from Lowes that worked well. The other was a couple of places in the kitchen that needed a little touchup paint. Overall he did really professional and timely job.

"I just saw this review..........WOW!! I had a total knee replacement on 17 Dec 2013 and was in no condition to do any work and had I been contacted, I had a backup handyman ready to step in for me. I have no record of this individual contacting me and if he had he would have been taken care of by my friend. I was up on ladders again in four weeks after surgery and am still ready to work as I was after my other knee replacement in 2012. Prefer calls to my business at 850-651-6513. I served my country and now I want to serve you. CMSGT Don Kreis ( USAF Ret) and working for a living."

Called up one day, he came out the next. Called before her came. Told the cost including materials. Very professional and easy to talk to about issues. Pricing was fair. Originally came out to replace garbage disposal but when asked about roof vents he inspected and repaired them as well on the same visit. Excellent quality. Will use again.

The Chief Handyman was my first call on November 5th to receive an estimate. He showed up without a prior phone call to notify me he was coming or without making an appointment. We took 15-20 minutes to walk around the house and I showed him the wood rot. The only thing he did was complain about how much work he had to do for others and how he was going into the hospital on December 1st for knee replacement. He left and told me he would send me an estimate. He sent me the estimate yesterday and it was completely outlandish. This was by far the most unprofessional and high estimate I have ever seen for half of the work since the it only contained work for half the house. He also gave me price a price of $90 for just labor to install a new faucet, whereas, another company was only going to charge me $85 for labor and the faucet.

"I did inform Member that I would stop by that morning depending on my schedule. I did not complain, but stated the fact that I already had jobs scheduled that I could not shift and I would soon be going in for a knee replacement, so if she accepted my bid, I would have to do the job several months after I healed. She said okay. My bid included repairs to two sides of the house. One side had five full (4x8) sheets of siding to be removed and replaced. I explained to her that I primed the back side and all raw edges of the new siding before installation to prevent the same damage from occuring."

Don is definitely a great handyman. He did the work very quickly. He is friendly, and meticulous about his work. I think he can do almost any maintenance job. He does work on an appointment schedule and shows up on time when he says he will.
