TruGreen Lawn Care - 5798

I prepaid an account in June 2012 to take me through the end of the year. In November I started receiving account due bills. At that time I canceled and I received a refund check. Now in December and January I am receiving past due bills for services I didn't receive. I tried calling and got a recording every time stating that this was their busy season and to hold on for an operator which I did for about ten minutes before hanging up. I still don't know if my billing has been straightened out or if I will receive another past due bill in February.

It costs about $250 yearly. They are pretty good; if we have a problem with weeds they respond. Their professionalism is very good. I will use them until the contract runs out; then if I don't like it I will switch; but so far, so good.

They would spend ten minutes in the yard, and my grass looked like everyone else's for $65 a month. They would come back out if I called and asked them to. I would never use them again.

They said they had to treat (spray) the lawn to kill the weeds.  They said it would take a few treatments.  The first couple of treatments were two weeks apart.  We did notice something turning brown in the yard.
Then they started treating the lawn once a month.  After about 3 months I started to notice weeds growing in the backyard.  We also had tons of ants in the yard.  They said they had a treatment for the ants that lasted a year.  If they did actually treat the yard, it only lasted a day.  We had to have them come back.  
They would also make appointments to come for treatments and didn't come.  But, when we called them they initially said they did treat the lawn.  However, they never left the sign in the yard stating they came and my husband is home all day and never saw them. After a couple of phone calls they agreed to come out and treat the yard.  The second ant treatment seemed to work for about two months.  The ants are back.  So much for their year guarantee.  
In April the weeds were growing taller than the grass and three times as fast.  By the beginning of April my husband noticed they were only treating the front yard and not the entire yard.
I cancelled their service.  We have more weeds now than we when they started.  I told my husband they are either treating the yard with water or they are actually seeding it with weeds.
They lie, don't do what they say they will, their treatment doesn't work, and they require too much babysitting on our part.

I use them because of the convenience and I have no complaints about their pricing. They always call the day before to let me know when they are coming and I am on a yearly contract with them. I will use them again in the future.

So far, it's been really good. They seem to be on their game.

I had mixed results with this company. I would call and schedule a service and they would come out and do additional work. They would come out when they weren’t supposed to and charge you for things we didn’t discuss. When they did the job everything was ok but the problem was with the management.

It seemed after they got our payment we were no longer of importance to them. In the end, I had mole crickets in my back yard, chinch bugs in the front with lawn damage and weeds at 3 ft high. For 4 months we had the same verbage on our statements (water your lawn) nothing said about issues found. I tried calling them to give my concerns due to our neighbor having the same service and looking so much better. A tech came out once and just brushed us off. In the end, I am looking for a company that will actually care about our lawn as much as we do... Truegreen is not that company.

TruGreen wanted me to consider tree & shrub treatment but put them off until I saw how they dealt with my neighbor's yard. Manager came out and again, said it was still due to drought (even though there was no damage in the backyard or my yard or other yards nearby. Landscaper came yesterday to give estimate on replacing lawn and said that that was typical of TruGreen. Needless to say, I'm not hiring them to do trees and my neighbor & I are going to fire them so they can't destroy the sod when it's replaced. I believe they watered down treatment on neighbor's yard because she isn't living there - very dishonest!!! Until that point, she had one of the most beautiful lawns in the subdivision!!

They do a fair job. They identified the big areas that are problems. They don't take care of the small problem until it becomes a big problem.

They sprayed the weeds in my yard after they reported that I had a weed problem. But it didn't work so they came back out and re-sprayed the weeds. The weeds still came back. I finally managed to talk to a supervisor and he said that I had crabgrass and that the only way it could be fixed was to re do the entire yard. They could have stopped this back in 2006 when they reported that my yard had a small patch of wild grass growing. The experience with them was very, very bad. You can't even read the little notes they leave after they spray the lawn.

They've been good. They have a group that tries to do some quality control. They call to see how satisfied you are with their service. Right now there's problems because of the drought so you can't really tell how effective everything is, but I know that we've seen some improvements as far as the shrubs are concerned.

This price is per treatment. They have been successful, and I am pleased with their work. I have called a couple of times, and they have come the very next day. The quality of service is great. I will continue to use them in the future and have already recommended them to others.

They were friendly. They didn't do what I asked them to do. They didn't do a very good job at what they did. I had fired them from the job because they where so bad.

The first visit, the technician could hardly speak English and couldn't communicate with me, what was wrong with my lawn and what I needed to do to help get my lawn green. He told me he was going to fertilize my lawn. I went in the house and he drove away 7 minutes later! My lawn is 8000 square feet! There's no way he could have done all that in 7 minutes! I stayed for 3 more months of treatments and my lawn looked worse than ever. I fired them and got the ''hard sell'' phone call the next day. The guy wouldn't take no for an answer! I finally had to yell at the guy to get him to leave me alone! Hired Middleton, and the first visit, the technician spent TWO HOURS evaluating my lawn problems-explaining everything to me about what they would do and what I needed to do. What a difference! I am looking forward to their lawn care and will report on my experience with them in the future.

I DECIDED TO USE THEM BECAUSE MY OLD LAWN SERVICE WAS TERRIBLE AND I HAD HEARD FROM A FRIEND THAT THEY DO VERY GOOD WORK. I PAY A LITTLE MORE NOW, BUT MY LAWN IS HEALTHY AND LOOKS MUCH BETTER, AND THAT IS THE MOST IMPORTANT THING.

THEY WERE ON TIME EVERY TIME THE LAWN NEEDED FERTILIZED. THEY CAME EVERY SIX WEEKS TO MAKE SURE THAT WHEN IT GROWS BACK YOU WON'T BE ABLE TO NOTICE PROBLEMS AS MUCH.

I HAVE USED THEM FOR AWHILE NOW, AND THIS YEAR OUR LAWN REALLY LOOKS NICE. WE HAD A SPECIFIC WEED THAT WE WERE HAVING PROBLEMS WITH, AND IT NOW APPEARS THAT THE PROBLEM HAS BEEN WHIPPED. THE GUYS ARE VERY FRIENDLY AND KNOWLEDGEABLE.

THEY WERE TERRIBLE. THEY SPRAYED AND THE ONLY THING THAT DIED WAS MY LAWN. I NOW HAVE TO FIND SOMEONE ELSE TO SPRAY AND TO ALSO REPLACE MY LAWN. I WILL NEVER USE THEM AGAIN AND NEITHER SHOULD ANYONE ELSE.

THEY COME TO SPRAY THE LAWN MONTHLY. THEY ALWAYS DO A REALLY GOOD JOB, I'VE YET TO SEE WEEDS OR CRABGRASS COME UP ON OUR LAWN. THIS IS A VERY REPUTABLE COMPANY.

SCOTT'S LAWN SERVICE IS A COMPANY THAT DOES ALL OF THE LAWN CARE AT OUR HOME. I AM SATISFIED WITH THE WORK THAT THEY DO AND I WILL CONTINUE TO USE THEM IN THE FUTURE.

I AM NOT HAPPY WITH THE WORK THEY DID. THEY WERE SUPPOSED TO PUT FERTILIZER DOWN ON THE WHOLE YARD AND THEY ONLY DID HALF THE YARD. I HAD TO CALL THEM BACK TO COME OUT AND FINISH THE JOB THAT SHOULD HAVE BEEN DONE RIGHT THE FIRST TIME.

THEY HAVE A VERY REASONABLE PRICE FOR THE WORK THEY DO. PUNCTUALITY IS A VERY IMPRESSIVE BUSINESS QUALITY TO HAVE, AND THIS COMPANY HAS THAT. I WOULD HAVE NO PROBLEM REFERRING THIS COMPANY TO ANYONE.
