Service call made by tech who wrote down all the model numbers and said the office would call with prices to fix. Adrian advised us the cost to fix the refrigerator would be $2,148.93 and the microwave oven $431.19. Price seemed high so we got on Angie's List and found a highly rated company. They made a service call promptly and advised that the microwave required a Magnitron and Diode, cost including labor $300.00. With a Freon leak detector he found a pinhole leak in the coil. He explained that even though our refrigerator had a closed system he could replace the coil and not the whole system at a price of $500.00 including labor. He showed up on 11/19 with the parts and installed them promptly. Everything is running like new. He never even charged me for the initial service charge. Just received Service call invoice from Mullets for $124.00. I did contact Adrian to discuss and her advice to me was to speak to their service manager.
Do your homework and find reputable vendors with knowledgeable employees.

We are factory authorized and only use factory certified parts and not any generic parts at all which a lot of smaller companies use. Unfortunately, the way a sealed system in a refrigerator works to correctly repair it you must replace the system itself...when you just replace one portion of the system, like the coil in your case, all you've done is put a band-aid on the unit and compromise the system itself. Again, we are factory authorized and trained and no manufacturer would ever recommend just replacing a coil in your case. We do however wish you all the luck with your appliance. Again, for someone to repair a magnatron tube and diode in your microwave for $300 you are getting generic parts that we do not deal in and do not have any warranty from the part manufacturer or the microwave manufacturer and we just do not do business that way. I'm sorry that was not explained to you more clearly when you called in for service. The charge of $124 is for a $99 service call/diagnosis on the first appliance and only a $25 on the second appliance. Thank you, Scott Mullet"

"I apologize for your feelings about our service. We strive to provide our customers with the highest standard of service in the industry which is why we have been in business doing service and sales since 1974. We ordered your part the same day the technician was at your house and, unfortunately, at that point we are at the mercy of the manufacturer on actually getting the part. You are correct it did take 5 business days to get the part and we do only go to your area of Bradenton twice a week. As for the price of the service, we actually use a national flat rate book that about 80% of service companies use and in this area we are actually the lowest priced service company and the highest rated at the same time. "Member, I apologize for your less than spectacular service. I see you ordered your product on July 8th and because of the special nature of your products they were an 8-10 week special order which you signed off on. We received your special order product on Sept. 2nd which is exactly the 8 weeks promised. We delivered the product to your house 5 days later per your request and met the gas company that we recommended you use. Also, the Viking refrigerator is the exact same model that was on the quote and nothing on it was ever changed. As for the pricing of the products, when you order high-end appliances the manufacturers set there own prices and we must abide by them so we gave you the lowest price available. Again, I am very sorry that you feel we did not live up to the excellent service background on which we were founded. We sincerely hope that this review will be edited to better reflect your actual experience after your remodel is completed and you've had some time to enjoy your new products.
