"We went out 3 different times after install and each time the gate was functioning just fine as it was installed properly. The owner came out on the 3rd time and showed the homeowner how to operate the gate and that was the last we heard. Please call if you have any questions."

I received in the mail a magazine which listed Five Star rated companies. I received this magazine three years ago and called the window company from it and they were five star so I called the fence company listed. H&Y (Jerry Mills). Jerry was prompt and courteous and understanding as the day he came I was ill. He emailed me an estimate. He came back out again and we reviewed my needs very specifically. I gave a deposit and he said he would call me the third week of Oct to schedule an appt. I came home from PT to find my fence in the process of being taken down, my driveway blocked so I could not park in it and was in complete surprise. I told the man standing by the truck to stop working and have his employer call me immediately. I told Jerry I was not pleased to come home to a project taking place on my property without notification and without me here. He initially back pedaled and told me he had called earlier that morning. I held him accountable telling him calling me and leaving a message on my machine when I am out is not the way I do business. We had a conversation that came up with an agreeable plan to continue the work and the project. Due to my being disabled full account would require more typing than I am able to do. Therefore, the short story goes we had a few more bumps in the road we kept the lines of communication open. He sent his son out to correct and complete the project to my satisfaction.

Jerry emailed me an estimate on 12/6/13 for an 80ft fence without coming to see the property. However, on 12/9/13, I wrote him an email in the morning and told him that I made a mistake on the footage, and advised him it would be 54ft long. I asked for a revised estimate. I called Jerry in the afternoon, as I had not received a reply yet. We discussed the change in footage of fencing required. Moreover, I asked him to come look at where the fence would be put up so that there would not be a misunderstanding regarding the final cost. Jerry stated that he would be in North Port the next day, Wednesday, and would look at the installation site. Jerry did not come to my home that day. I did call him Wednesday afternoon, and being unable to speak to him, I left a voice message. I never heard from Jerry again. Consequently, I hired another company to perform the job.
"[member name removed], We go down to North Port about once a month for estimates, which is why we did a sight unseen estimate for you. We had to keep changing your estimate, which takes time to process when we are doing other jobs. After we received your email we had scheduled to go down there that following week but by the time we were going to call that week to confirm the time you left a message saying you had another company perform the job, so we never called back and we left it at that. I guess we should have called and told you we understood, but this is our busy season and we didn't have time to call jobs that choose not to have us do the job."
