Great. This was done years ago. I just called him today for another problem at my office, and he gave me a logical solution over the phone, saying no need to have him come out and to save a charge. Incredibly knowledgable, nice and honest. Will always call him for locksmith service.

John is very efficient and knowledgeable. He took the time to check every door in the house, and explained what was not done right,
and made it right. He rekeyed the lock of 3 sliding doors, so that only one key can be used and replaced 2 broken lock sets.
I am very satisfy with his work.

The owner called before arriving to confirm the scheduled time and asked if it was still convenient.. He arrived on time and promptly rekeyed the four locks and made six keys. He also took apart a lock that had not been working well, found the problem and fixed it. He was professional and I considered the price reasonable. I would use this provider again.

I called Jay on Saturday morning because I was in need of an urgent re-keying. He arrived within and hour, re-keyed the house and had a very fair price. His work was excellent.

Jay's came out immediately. Although he could no longer find the part to repair the lock on the back door, which meant I would have had to spend over $200 to another supplier for a new one, he at least provided a fix of sorts and did look hard for the no longer made part. He also managed to get the front door lock working and made me wo free keys on the spot. He was great.

I called this afternoon, thinking we would make an appointment for him to re-key our locks some time next week - told him it is not an emergency. But he checked and found he would be in the area this afternoon, and he was here a little more than an hour after I first left a message for him. He was quick, courteous, and professional. Great job!

My key was sticking in the lock more and more frequently, and sometimes I was afraid I wouldn't be able to turn it at all. I called Mr. Smoak, on a Friday afternoon, and he came out the day after I contacted him. He said he would arrive between 9 and 10 in the morning, and he did. He determined very quickly that I didn't need a new lock, just a new tumbler. He was here less than an hour. He was very professional, neat, and pleasant. His charge was very reasonable, I thought. I'm very glad I found him-- and once again, Angie's has saved the day!

for decadesFirst of all, note the date of service was a Saturday. So he worked the weekend, arriving at 10AM on time. I only called him the day before, just before my home closing (where I was given only 1 key and we all know there have to be many others floating around when the prior residents lived there ). He was prompt, professional, affable, honest, efficient and exceedingly knowledgeable. He also corrected in a few minutes things I thought I learned by studying hours of material over the Internet. Use him. He's honest, good, priced well and punctual. Remember, you are choosing someone who literally holds the keys to your kingdom, so trust is paramount.

Same day service. Prompt and courteous. Provided information about quality of handlesets and hinges which was very helpful. Re-keyed two exterior doors and cleaned and lubricated lock mechanisms so they work much more smoothly now. Would definitely use Jay's again.

I bought a new keyless pushbutton lock for my front door, but the hole in the door for the old lock was too small for the new one. It was a metal-wrapped door, and none of my tools could drill it. A neighbor recommended Jay's, so I called and made an appointment. He understood exactly what I needed and not only drilled the hole but installed my new lock and doorknob quickly.
