Ian's Done Right Detailing and Pressure Cleaning

The name Done Right (DR) for this pressure washing and detailing service does not fit its performance. Ian was consistently late, did not answer messages, and did not finish the job he was hired to do. There was some dispute as to what was supposed to be done, but pressure cleaning the sidewalk and curbing was definitely part of the agreement, which did not get finished. I got a message about 3 days ago that he was getting petrol and would then be in route to finish. Haven't seen or heard from him since. I made the mistake of paying him before the job was totally done, so I doubt I'll see him again. Would not use Ian again and would not recommend him to anyone.

Due to rain, Ian had to do this several times. Kudos to him for coming back several times. However, when he "fixed" the driveway for the 3rd time, he and a helper used rollers versus spraying the first two times. When rolling the driveway, sand was pulled out of the cracks between the bricks and is now sealed to the surface of various bricks. On top of that the sealant is coming off in patches all over the driveway. Ian (again kudos to him for coming back to look at it again). He came out on January 18th, today is March 8th. He said that he would have to remove the sealant and surface sand and re-do it all over again and it would be a few weeks before he could do that (that was around January 17th). He later sent me an email saying that it was my fault for having the sprinklers on. When I tried to reply to his email saying "no, it wasn't my fault as the sprinklers were switched off"...the email bounced due to a full mailbox. Sending a message via Angie's List yesterday has elicited no response. Meanwhile, the driveway looks like crap - worse than before he started. I would not use Ian again for driveway sealing...maybe on car detailing...he is OK...I don't know.

Ian's Done Right is the most amazing car detailing and pressure service I have ever encountered. He is prompt, friendly and provides impeccable service. Ian is very easy to contact and always keeps his word. As a nurse with a very busy life he meets me wherever I am so I never miss a service. I have been using Ian to detail my car for over two years now and my car looks just as new as the day I bought it. He is affordable and always works with me to ensure I get the best service possible. I know it seems like I was paid to do this review but I promise I am just a regular customer and luckily found the best guy in the county!!!

The contractor provided the service at our house, so it was very convenient. He did a good job vacuuming the interior, shampooing the rugs, washing the windows/mirrors, wiping off the interior surfaces and removing the pet hair. However, I was extremely disappointed in the price. I was originally quoted $80 ($90 with a $10 off new customer discount.) My car is only a few months old; it still had the dealer sticker on it. I do have cats, so there was some pet hair on it, but nothing extreme. It ended up costing $70 more ($50 plus $20 tip) more to have the pet hair removed. I have never paid that high of a price to have my interior cleaned. I was beyond shocked. He also cleaned my husband's car (the car is hardly used because my husband travels for work) and the same price was charged. I was extremely disappointed in the fact he charged us an additional $100 to have pet hair removed and he didn't even give us any kind of a discount for performing service on multiple cars. Since he performed the service at our house, he could of informed us it was going to be an additional $50 per car to remove the pet hair and we would have declined the service at that price. I recently went to a local car wash and was charged $35 for similar service. Even though the service wasn't done in as great of detail, it was way more affordable than paying $150. If you use this contractor, make sure he writes you up a quote first before performing any service.
