So far so good. AC unit installed and working great. Duct replacement in early Nov. when it is cooler outside. Clean up was exceptional.

Repair was handled professionally and the tech explained in detail the work that needed to be done in addition to showing me the problem areas on the unit.

We had them come out because our air conditioner abruptly stopped working. They were able to come out immediately which was nice. The problem they found was our condensation pump needed to be replaced. They quoted me $1,000, which we didn't have at the time so we opted to pay over $200 just for them to clean it. I have since used several other companies and have been quoted at the most $300 for the same job. I don't recommend using them. I understand things need to be marked up so they can make money but that markup is just ridiculous and wrong.

We discovered a separation in the duct to one of the vents in our house. I called Ellington who we have used for a number of years and that are always timely and reliable. They had installed our new Trane A/C about 3 years ago and it has worked superbly in cooling the house. After calling the office, Joey called shortly to set a time that day. He arrived on time and recognized me as a previous customer. Joey climbed into the attic and made the repair. He also gave us a quick review of what he had seen regarding the rest of the duct work. We appreciate the professionalism and fine service we have received from Ellington and can recommend them without qualification.

Ellington offered a 15-Point Inspection through Angies List in April 2015, on our one year old Heat and Air Conditioner, which included checking Air Ducts, installing our Thermostat, cleaning vents, coils, and complete service. Ellington did such a great job that we purchased a Bronze Service Annual Contract with them, to keep our one-year-old unit in great shape. This was so we never had to worry about our unit, and we thought since we renew it every year that it would always be serviced and kept in great repair. Initially the plan costed $511, and it would cost $169 each year it was renewed using the Bronze Package. Now, on March 2018, we renew the Bronze Package paying $169. We were told Annual maintenance was performed, coil and blower assembly cleaning included, changed air filters, sanitized indoor cabinet, air distributer system thermal inspection, full-system performance inspection and safety service, heat transfer media restoration service, electrical, termination, and safety service, combustion and ignition system service, and other services. On March 2018, at annual renewal: The service report stated: compared RMA flushed and treated drain pan and line, treated coil with biocides, checked TD, capacitor, contractor, AMP Draw, vaccuumed cond. compartment, rinced coil all okay. But, found fan side of capacitor to be weak. Customer refused to replace, at this time. We renewed our Bronze Package for $169 Now, it is May 2018. Our Air Conditioner is only 4 years old. It stops cooling our 1,500 square foot home. We are charged $99 for a service call by Ellington. We are told the unit has ice inside, and it froze over. (We live in Florida, and it is the month of May, it would not be due to snow, it is really hot in the 80’s to 90’s outside.” Our humidity was about 70 inside and the temperature was about 80 - 90 degrees inside. So we had to purchase three fans throughout the home. Only the fan worked but not the air conditioner unit. The technitian from Ellington agreed to help fix the unit the next day, on Saturday. However, when he came out he informed us that the unit could not be repaired. At this point the ice melted. And he told us it would cost about $300 to clean the unit to see if it worked. This was May 2018,and when we renewed the Bronze Package on March 2018, it should still have been cleaned. He told us we should consider purchasing a new unit through them, starting at about $5,000. We asked him for some time to think about it. He charged us $99 for just looking at it, and trying to sell us a new unit, when ours was only 4 years old, and should not need to be replaced, IF ELLINGTON SERVICED THE UNIT SINCE April 2015 until now. However, we did get a second opinion, today. A technition that only charged $50 for a service call came out on Memorial Day on May 2018. We have no contract or service agreement with him. All he did was cleaned the unit which he stated had not been ever cleaned, appearently, then he added freon. The cost was $100 total, and $50 was deducted from the cost of the service call. This means, when Ellington came out to renew our Annual Bronze Service and Maintenance Contract on March 2018 the unit had never been serviced or cleaned, because if it were cleaned and serviced, two months later, we would not need to pay someone else to do what Ellington claims they had done all along, since April 2015, when we started wasting money with them on services NEVER PERFORMED. THREE YEARS THE AIR CONDITIONER HAD NEVER BEEN SERVICED, AND WE PAID FOR SERVICES SINCE THE UNIT WAS ONLY ONE-YEARS-OLD. Had we known this we would never had renewed for another year, on March 2018 until March 2019, we have another contract for service until 2019, and a company Ellington that REFUSES TO EVER DO ANY SERVICES, THAT ONLY WANTS TO CHARGE $99 FOR VISITS TO TRY TO SELL US ANOTHER UNIT, AND IT COSTED US $169 to renew the Bronze Package through March 2019. NEVER AGAIN WILL THEY HAVE OUR TRUST. Also, we found ELLINGTON ON ANGIES LIST April 2015. I was one of Ellington’s first A-Ratings, before I got scammed by this DISHONEST COMPANY! Also, the renewal is NON-REFUNDABLE. And the three years worth of damages from Ellington’s neglect to service my unit, as they were paid to do, plus the wasted money durung the three years of non-service, ruined my system in such a way that the life of the system may not be as long as a well-maintained system would be. Angies List, hopefully, you will no longer offer specials for this company, as I was scammed by Ellington, and I would not want this to happen to ANYONE ELSE. Also, thank you, Angies List for helping us find a new contracter to help with our four-year-old Heat and Air Conditioner. We are sad to have asked him to clean over three years worth of dirt, and have to come on a holiday Memorial Weekend, as a result of over three years of neglectful actions of Ellington Heat and Air. Please, take Ellington off of Angies List. I do not want anyone else to be scammed by this company. Nobody should be asked to purchase a new air conditioner when their current one is only four years old, and still under warranty, as a result of Ellington never service, clean, or maintain the current unit and ruining it due to their abuse and neglect.

Our existing heat and ac system was replaced with a variable speed heat pump/ac/air handler. Double zoning control was added to the existing air distribution system, and an air purifier was added. The people we dealt with during the installation (Bill, Steve, Erik, assisted by Tyler) were all prompt, professional, considerate and knowledgeable in their specific areas of expertise, and left us confidant that we were dealing with a very reliable, reputable and established company that would be there for support if problems arose in the future. The installation was followed up a few days later by a partial cleaning of the 12-year old duct system (by Erik, assisted by Faustian) with the same level of thoroughness, neatness, and experience that we had during the installation.

It has been a long time since we have had such a positive experience while spending our hard earned money. We started repairman John B. Later with the estimator Bill and finally with the installation team of Jordon and Travis and others led by Steve. The equipment is great. The installation was thorough, clean, and timely. The price was right. Ellington must be doing something right to attract and keep such a hard working, conscientious group of people We highly recommended them.

I called several AC companies and Ellington was by far the most professional. I called several other large operations. With Ellington, a senior person came and gave me an estimate. The estimate included several options (i.e. good, better, best, etc). After I signed, a two person crew then came (on a Saturday ) to complete the install. They were clean cut. After that an inspector came to check the work of the installers... and finally, the owner (Jason Ellington) followed up with me. I was very pleased. Contrast this with the unit they replaced... that unit was installed new many years earlier. Two hungover guys shows up, did shoddy work, and complained while doing it. Although the AC worked, the Ellington experience stands in stark contrast. I will use Ellington again if this system needs work or fails.

It was a defrost board that needed to be bypassed.

I called for an appt. on Tues. 9/19/20117 and they had a technician here within 1 day. Corey Hall the Service Technician was very prompt arriving at our house at 11:00 which was the very beginning of the 2 hour window I was given. He explained several items to me and answered all of my questions (which were many). Corey explained why the red light was flashing and the options that I had to reduce my cost and still have our system work properly. After making my decision on which option to go with Corey had to return to their shop to pick up a part and returned very quickly to install the part. I haven't had many reasons to call an Air/Heat company in the past and after hearing all of the stories regarding other people's experience I was not looking forward to this call. I can honestly say that Corey made this experience informative and educational. I would definitely recommend Ellington Air/Heat services.

We have never been so impressed with a company as we are with Ellington! We found them through Angie's list and they had 1,400 excellent reviews. We now know why! Their customer service is incredible! We asked them come out to give us a free estimate on a new AC system. When we set up the estimate, the person scheduling told us the free estimate wiil include a full inspection of our current system and that it might take up to 3 hours. They weren't kidding! It took a full 3 hours and they inspected every pipe, vent, duct and fan on our current AC system. The salesman also discovered that one of our vents high above our kitchen, was closed...which explains why our kitchen has been so hot when we run the oven! The vent has been closed since we moved into our home 16 years ago! Ellington was not the least expensive estimate we received, but they won us over with their customer service. They sent a personal thank you note after the estimate. They invited us to visit their facility to see the different units and view a variety of thermostats, before we made our choice, which we did. The day of installation, their team arrived right on time and the salesman who sold us the system also arrived, to make sur the team was in place and the work was being done. 5 days after installation, they sent out a technician to inspect every part of the new system, including all the pipes in our attic...in FL...which is brutally hot in August! The technician also walked us through our new digital (and mobile) thermostat. He helped us set up the app on our iPad and showed us how to program settings that are perfect for our schedule. All-in-all we could not be more pleased with our new Trane AC system and more importantly with Ellngton Air Conditioning & Heat.

The cost is reasonable, it is an annual service that they provide. They’re very prompt, very professional and they always quote what they are going to do, what you need to have done. They don’t force you into fixing anything, if they find issues that can wait, I appreciate that. I think they’re honest and their pricing is based upon what service they provided and they’re very reasonable.
