Service was punctual and well done. Our problem was with what is covered in the $99 special. Booker said they have a maximum square footage on the special (2 rooms and a hall). They always count the living room & dining room as two rooms even if they are in the same area in a small condo which is illogical. A room is a room no matter what furniture you have in it. We vacuumed and moved furniture before they arrived so everything was ready to go. The cleaner arrived on time said since we had done all the prep & it was a small condo he would clean the living/dining room, florida room & the hall. His truck was not working so he went back to exchange it & arranged to have another cleaner come out. The second cleaner gave us a hard time about what the previous cleaner had already agreed to do. He reluctantly did the living/dining area as one room but skipped the hall. They had us sign off on how the carpet looked when they left while it was still wet. After it dried there were still some spots and an area between the kitchen and Florida room that was not completely cleaned. Would we use them again? Not really sure. A combined living/dining area defined as two rooms is just petty unless you are living in a McMansion. They should just limit the square footage they will clean for a set price instead of making arbitrary decisions on what the definition of a room is. It is a bit of a bait & switch tactic that turns customers off.

The 2 cleaners were professional, efficient, and made my carpets look like new. I had many stains. You couldn't see them after they were done.

Very smooth process.  Two people attended to setting up, raising furniture, telling me how long it would take to dry out.  How I could approve the drying time by leaving the AC on reducing the chance of mold growth.  Since I have beige colored carpet and we had had a spill that I was not aware of had occurred they made several attempts at removing the stain from the carpet.  The tech came to me and showed me the stain explaining that unfortunately the stain was set and could not be removed.

The carpet dried completely in 24 hours. The technician was really good. This is the third time I've hired them and their people are always pleasant. I have an annual agreement with them now.

Two workers arrived at our home promptly and did an excellent job. We hired them to have carpets cleaned because we purchased a home and the previous owner had cats. Although the home was pretty clean and relatively well kept we had a concern about allergens because my boyfriend is extremely allergic to cats. The workers did a great job and we ended up purchasing some additional services because they gave us a great deal. The two gentlemen who did the work were very nice and professional. They were hard workers and didn't waste any time getting things done. Although the house was empty so there wasn't anything they had to move they were careful and conscientious.
I would definitely use them again.

They came on time and you didn't have to tell them to take their shoes off. They knew how to do everything, they've very professional, they talk to you but they never stop working. If you ask them the question, they'll answer you but they never stop doing what they were doing to talk to you. They would be very polite in everything and they were in and out and before you know it, they were done. They handle it like it was their own carpet. They were very concerned about not getting my floor dirty. It was raining that day but they were very intent on making my floor dirty that it almost felt like it was their house. I'm gonna call them back every time I need my carpet done.

I had used them several times. I had to have them come back again two days later to redo.

Went very well....took out all stains. Had a bad incident whereby they broke my a/c, but they paid for the repair, so no harm done. Will definitely use them again.

The job was done without any problems and results were extremely satisfactory. The 2 man crew arrived at the scheduled time, and they were cleanly dressed, and very personable.  As this was a condo on the 16th floor they had to use a portable unit. Their equipment was clean and ready for use. Work started without delay and proceeded systematically throughout the condo, and was completed with 1 1/2 hours.  We performed an after inspection of the carpet and were confident every sq inch of the floor had been cleaned.
The crew was very thorough in explainig their suggested drying techniques, which we adhered to, and the carpet was fully dry within 2 days now looking like new. 
Our satisfaction was sufficient to order them to come back and clean the carpet in the condo we are now vacating.
I regret I can't remember the names of the crew.  I wrote them down, but seem to have lost the note pad.  One of the men was named Mike.

I bought their carpet cleaner that was $15 per bottle for spot cleaning. It works great with pet accidents.

I just had my kitchen renovated which included a lot of traffic in and out of our home.  The carpets needed cleaning before renovation so I was anxious to get them done before a birthday party I was hosting on 2/16/13.  I procrastinated until the week of the party.  However, I found Stanley Steamer on Angie's List, call them and they were very accommodating giving me an appointment the next day.  I told them I would be coming from work so I really needed a phone call 30 minutes before they arrived at our home.  That was no problem.  Two young men were at my home just minutes before I arrived.  It worked out perfectly.
They evaluated the rooms to be cleaned (living room, dining room and hallway) and began cleaning immediately.  They were done in no time.  We discussed at maintenance standard to keep the carpet looking like new.  I paid the bill and the whole process was great.  I was so worried I wasn't going to get my carpets cleaned in time but Stanley Steamer made it so easy. 
I would not hestitate to recommend them or use them again!  It was the epidemy of GREAT SERVICE!

They did a great job removing grease and orange juice stains from the carpet. I was very pleased with how the carpets looked afterward. This was my second time using their carpet cleaning services, and I would use them again.

So far, so good ... and if, as we anticipate, all goes well, we will have them back for other work as needed.

The washing machine in the condo upstairs overflowed late Sunday night, July 1, and some water got into my condo.  Luckily I was home and able to mop most of the water up, but the carpet and walls were definitely wet, so professional help was needed.  On July 2, one of the condo maintenance staff suggested that Stanley Steemer could dry out the carpet.  Stanley Steemer arrived promptly and looked at the damaged areas, and tested for the presence of water behind the walls.  They said that there was definitely some water near the baseboards, but they felt that a different contractor should be called because the job was small.  I thanked them and appreciated their honest assessment of the situation.  I would consider calling them again, although maybe for carpet cleaning which is actually their specialty.

I had used them previously with good results. However, after cleaning my carpets this time, when they were dry, the upstairs hall had two spots that were "bleached" out.  I called them and they sent out a supervisor who said that it was because of something that had previously been spilled on the carpet reacting with the cleaning chemicals.  This is baloney, nothing had been spilled in those areas.  They tried to dye it back to the same color, which did not work.  I kept calling them and leaving messages for the manager with no response.  I had to replace the carpet.

Problem was, like the previous 2 cleanings (every 6 months) I was told that I should add protection to carpets. When told my carpets are Stainmaster I was told steam cleaning ruins the staimaster protection. The first time I simply declined the service. But later went to Staimaster's web site where I found in their FAQ's their statement that steam cleaning does not affect the Stainmaster protection. I printed that out and the next time a different crew arrived and also told me their cleaning would remove the Stainmaster treatment. I showed them the statement from Stainmaster and declined the  service. They  were surprised. The last time another crew again tried to sell me their treatment for the same reason. I asked why all the crews try to sell that service. He said because his boss tells them to do that. I showed him the printout and he was surprised. I told him I was going to report them to the State. He laughed hard.

I did report the incident to the Florida Department of Consumer Protection (telling them that I had no quarrel with the quality of the work over the years). FDCP responded telling me they forwarded my complaint to Hillsborough County. Some time later Hillsborough sent me their report and the response they got from Stanley Steemer. They denied anyone tells customers that steaming ruins Stainmaster protection and that customers are being told the recommendation to respray was to protect the carpet for the very deep area that collects damaging dirt and is beyond the capabilities of the Stainmaster coating to protect. Therefore, Hillsborough believed no laws were broken, therefore no legal action could be taken.

I replied that the story I was given on at least 3 occasions was different from  and not even close to what they were told.

As a result, I have discontinued using Stanley Steemer.

We are satisfied with them. They do a good thorough work and they have always been good. They did multiple rooms and it was probably in the $125 range. They are responsive. We had a problem and they came back on it. They are very professional and their punctuality is good. We would continue to use them in the future.
