"Miss Crowe is extremely hard to work for, 3/4 way through job she made me stop because she wanted to do her floor, I told her if we stop , I need to start another job, so we stopped as per her request, when her floor was done she called me and said I need to drop everything and come back , I told her when I'm finished with the job I'll be back , she didn't want to hear that,, mind you, I was paid up to date, the money she owed was for the next step, she demanded I come immediately I told her I couldn't there was an argument and she threw me off the job , she has had two other contractors there after me and each one of them walked off the job. I am taking the homeowner to court for breach of contract."
"Patricia signed a contract with me to redo her entire home. Including kitchen and bathrooms, and all bedrooms. Laminate flooring (the entire house) and paint. In my contract, in big lettering, which she signed on the front page, it states home owner is responsible to purchase finished items. Meaning, tiles, bathroom fixtures, flooring, and kitchen cabinets. The reason I don't include that in my price, is because I don't know what the homeowner wants to spend, and I don't give an allowance because at the end of the job you end up going back and forth over the receipts. This is standard practice for my company. We went over the contract, she signed, and we started to work. We were working there almost two weeks, everyday from 7am till 3:30pm. Then one morning she tells me her brothers are going to kill her because she spent too much money on her new home and that they could have done it cheaper. At that point, she had already purchased her flooring, tiles, kitchen cabinets, and plumbing fixtures. The following day, she accused me of being sneaky because she thought all the finished items were going to be included. I told her the contract that we went over states homeowner is to purchase finished items. She understood that at the time of signing, because she had already purchased all the items by the second week into the job. So because her brothers yelled at her for spending this money on her home, she is now trying to lie and get out of the contract, which I am deep into."
