I had no problem obtaining a quote from Versatile Home Improvements, communication was always easy with Paul. I even had to delay the start of the remodel by six months. It was not a problem and I called well in advance to schedule the new start date.
Paul and Rick were always on time with a "good morning" and ready to work attitude. Both were well organized, detailed oriented and very professional, true craftsmen to say the least. They came fully equipped to do a big job and had all the materials needed. They were exceptionally clean as they worked through the house, very respectful of my home, using drop cloths, and picking up and vacuuming as they went.  In addition, both Rick and Paul are honest and trustworthy men.
It was a big remodel and things can be stressful, but  both were good at keeping me calm and grounded because this is how they worked.  They are an exceptional team and work well together, each seems to anticipate the others next step.  I was most impressed at how they painted together, it was efficiently quick but well done. Tthe interior of the house is so beautifully colored with fresh new paint. I love it so much.
The materials they used were high quality consisting of the cabinets which are gorgeous, the granite counter top,sinks and the new glass shower door all pristine. The shower tile was a huge job as the walls were not plumb. And the original tile work was very bad so Rick has his work cut out for him. It took several days just to lay the tile just right but it looks wonderful. Rick is a perfectionist and knows his craft,  it showed in the finished shower.  It turned out gorgeous and we are very pleased.  Everyone who see it loves it too.
I will be contracting  with Paul and Rick again this year for another bathroom.  I would not let anyone but them come into my home to do "the job"and trust both of them implicitly.

I phoned Rick on 11/19, in the late afternoon, told him I needed help, that a vertical grab bar was needed.  My sister is terminally ill; she is using this shower now with a shower chair.  She is very weak.  In fact, she has Hospice Services at home now.  I never thought Rick and Paul would come by within 18 hours to install (and purchase the grab bar for me.)  They only charged me the cost of the grab bar, no labor.  THEY TAKE GOOD CARE OF THEIR CUSTOMERS.  These words are from a grateful customer.  Rick and Paul are worthy, kind, patient and above all, experts in handling all customer issues/needs.   I hope you know, Angie's List helped me find this company and now, I praise Versatile Home Improvements -- totally as the greatest.

Excellent service.  Picked up toilet and vanity at home depot.  Granite on vanity was broken and he took it back and picked up the replacement.  Did such a good job painting.  High inner work standards.  Felt comfortable leaving him alone in the house.  I will use this company on a going forward basis.

Excellent! Absolutely outstanding!  We just looked them up on Angie's List as we normally do and his name came up. He happens to live in the same area we do. We didn't realize that. Just outstanding service. We had a tray ceiling in our bedroom that somebody before we bought the house had decided to paint the walls warm yellow and decided to do the tray a mustard yellow and it was so hideous. This is a gorgeous house and I can't believe they did it but they did. We needed a fan put in, so we asked him to come in to paint the tray and put up the fan. They did. He did it all in one day. In fact he probably worked two and a half hours and then he came back for two and a half more hours to finish up. He did a second coat which he said he would do to make sure that there was no bleeding in  veal color. He put up the fan and a remote and did an absolutely excellent job. I get the impression that it is a bit high, maybe, but I would rather call somebody who is going to do it right than a lowballer that comes in and kind of half does something and takes $150 and goes on a merry way. These guys had worked for another company where this Paul had been a district manager and he went out on his own. He told us all this information. Evidently they are just really good at what they do and while they charge a little bit, they do what they need to do to get it done and do it right. They came on time. The man worked, his cellphone wasn't constantly going off. He didn't have to leave to run to another project. He devoted all his time to our project. He did exactly what he said he was going to do and did it in a good amount of time. He was very thorough with it. We knew that because of the time he spent. We have his card and will definitely call him again. In fact we getting to the age that we need a handyman to help us out, although he is probably our age but he seems to be fine. My husband called them on a Thursday or Friday and they came Monday and did the job.

Versatile Improvements & Remodeling Inc. did all the work themselves, no subcontracting.  I was present in the home when all the work was performed.  Rick and Paul laid down tarps for the walkway through the house; very considerate for keeping the house neatly protected during remodel.  They were an absolutely amazing TEAM;  they worked with such synchrony and very agreeable methods.  There were no "mis-steps". They know their business and they really stood up to the challenge.  What was even more valuable is that they worked on "MY SCHEDULE".  You see, this remodel was done for the future needs of my house since my sister has terminal cancer and we live together in this house.  I am the caregiver.  My sister will never ever be in a Nursing Home--I have remodeled this home so we can stay "in place" for all future needs.   I arranged for her to be in a hotel during the construction/remodel.  Both Rick and Paul worked around the "chemotherapy dates".  The remodel could only be done one week of Feb. 16 thru Feb. 19 and then a couple weeks later on March 2 thru March 4.  My sister and I were in  hotels;  I protected her from the dust and smells of construction. During the first week of remodel, we had to modify the schedule, no work on Friday Feb. 20 because my sister needed a CT Scan, sort of Stat.  Where can you find a business who will "WORK AROUND YOUR HEALTH SITUATIONS"?   Both Rick and Paul promised they would work around my schedule and they did with exceptional kindness.   On the last two days of the remodel, they brought in a third member of their staff so the work could be done in a manner that would save me an extra day from the hotel bill.  The hotel bill cost me almost $2000 but it was worth it;  my sister was safe from environmental dust and she could rest well in the hotels.  I went to the hotel every evening to be with my sister and then I would be back at my house by 6:30 AM.....Rick and Paul were at my house by 7 AM on each day they were in the remodel.  I am so delighted with the outcome. Their gentle humor also helped me with the work schedule.  I was stressed, worried but their gentle ways gave me pause;  they sort of protected me as I was protecting my sister.  Can't say enough about this great business.  If you want the best, you need to look at Versatile Improvements & Remodeling Inc.....you will be glad you did.  I am extremely grateful my remodel is done and it is SENSATIONAL.

I have to give credit. They said they were booked up months in advance before coming to give estimate.  We had severe water damage from a bathroom leak.  So we were remodeling 2 bathrooms.  They came and looked at the damage but did not bid on the job that needed to be done.  They estimate was extremely high.  And was not itemized.  They did not listen to what I was interested in doing and had their own ideas based on previous work.  Which Is great.  If you have a lot of money and don't care what it costs that is fine.  I am sure they do fine work because they are busy enough to bid high they are not desperate.

We did have the work done by a licensed contractor at half the price.  Materials and labor included.  It turned out great.  There are people that need work and can do  quality work at a reasonable price.

When I asked them what the price was for the part of my house that was water damaged as this was not included in the estimate, they seemed annoyed that I asked as they said they couldn't bid on something they didn't see.  It was the first thing I showed them when they arrived at my house.  I guess they forgot when they saw the $$$ on 2 bathroom gut and remodels.

Get several estimates people.

Norm was very responsive through Angies list. I put in the request and within about 1 hr he had already responded. He met me the next day looked at the project and even saved me money by explaining a more cost effective way to solve my problem. we have 2 large German shepherds and a baby gate that needed to be secured more in the kitchen area (or time out area....lol). I thought I would need a hole new gate built. Norm was very polite and professional l, he explained how we could better secure the gate I already had and saved me 100's. We scheduled the work, Norm was there on time and did a great job! Highly recommend his services to anyone. *Update* the gate has withstood both dogs nows being in "timeout" and still standing....thanks again Norm!!

Went very well, achieved what I wanted. Wish I had found them sooner. Will use in the future for other work that I need.
