Very prompt in coming out to our home. Very professional and helpful. Would use them again.

The technician Cody explained everything that he was doing and had me check it out myself. He added a tube to help with the water line going into the ice maker. This refrigerator is less than two years old and I had the dealer come out and they replaced the ice maker twice and never found the actual problem! I will call this company in the future if I need any of my appliances repaired they are awesome. In fact I have already recommended them to a friend of mine.

This company is amazing. Professional, Ethical, Knowledgeable,,,, I will only use this company in the future for all appliance issues.

They arrived within the time window promised. The refrigerator was making a funny noise when it ran. I was expecting to replace a fan motor. They took it apart, was iced up. They melted the ice, investigated further. They found a piece of the insulation that was taped inside had come loose and was flapping on the fan when it ran. They trimmed the insulation, re-installed it. put everything back together. It is working fine, cooling, making ice. I am happy. No parts needed, a lot less expensive than a new refrigerator.

Well...made my initial call late in the day never expecting any attention until at least tomorrow morning. But Tony and Vincent called and said they will be arriving in just a few moments, this was about 4:45 pm. Wow! That's about where the good news ends.....but not really. Took their time to make sure what the problem was, gave me a verbal estimate on the fix. I determined that the cost of repair would buy a new machine, so the decision was made. Tony was great in giving me as much information as possible and answered all questions, of which I really appreciated. At about 5:15 pm they departed. Oh, and yes...my initial call was every bit as pleasant and I was informed about the cost of the service call should I decide not to have it repaired. I've used A&J in the past, and I will continue to do so. Short, sweet and to the point.

The owner of the company came into my home where my boyfriend was waiting for the service call. He brought in his tools and was abrupt and had a bad attitude. He was called in to fix a dishwasher door that would not close and lock, therefore it would not work. He moved one side of the door to the other hinge and pushed the door shut. It still did not lock and the dishwasher would not start. He proceeded to tell my boyfriend that it would work it would just take some time to start. It does not lock and does not work. I called back the company who said they would make good on the mistake. The owner then called me raising his voice and making excuses about why he did not fix the dishwasher. I asked him to get to the point because I was busy. He asked me who the h*** I though I was talking to and Who the h*** did I think I was while screaming at the top of his lungs. He proceeded to scream you have a nice day and hung up the phone. When I called the office to let them know how rude and unprofessional he was, he was defended. No way I would ever recommend his crappy service or his extremely unprofessional manner. Mondo dismo.

It was a large young man who showed up when he was supposed to. He was respectful, efficient, and got the job done. BUT: The price was almost twice what I expected (not his fault) But after he left I had to sweep AND wash the kitchen floor due to the dirty mess that was made. At such a high price I felt I should have been provided with more than a 30 day guarantee. (not his fault)

I called A&J Appliance repair at approx. 9:00 am. on 12/29/2014. to check-out my broken refrigerator. At 10:30 am. the same day, [ 1 1/2 Hrs. later ! ] 2 young men from A&J showed up, diagnosed the problem, gave me the cost to make the repairs, and told me they had the part with them and they could repair it immediately if I agreed to the price they quoted me [and gave me a discount for doing the repair while they were still there ! And also told me there was no extra charge for the service call if I wanted the repair done !!! These people are the real deal, they are very fast at responding when called, extremely courteous and professional and there pricing I don't think can be beat [a refrigerator repair for under $170.00 ] WOW !!! My refrigerator stopped cooling, I called and they came out the same day. They diagnosed my refrigerator and fixed it in about 40 minutes. The technician was thorough, explained everything in detail and cleaned up any mess they made. Great price and great service, I recommend A&J to everyone I know that is looking for appliance repair.

Service technician Tony replaced the ice maker the same day I called, 11/3/14, however, it became apparent later that day that it was not making any ice. I called the next day and Tony again responded and found the optics sensor system to also be defective and it was replaced. Following that repair, the unit was found to be functioning properly. That evening, Tony called to make sure the system was working.

It is very hard for me to rate this provider because my fairly new refrigerator is a piece of junk. WARNING don't buy frigidaire. This is the 4th time the icemaker has been repaired. We called the provider on Sunday when we were unable to get ice and they sent a tech (Marcus) out after 6:00 pm on Monday. He installed a new icemaker but it was defective and leaked water because it was double filling. On Tuesday he installed another icemaker and we were unable to get ice although it was making ice. On Thursday the tech came back and seemed to puzzled as to why it was not working. After several tries he got it to work. To tell you the truth I don't think the tech was very happy about the last call back, but he has fixed it, for how long we don't know. I won't use this company again but I will give them an A for effort. I really don't think anybody could have done anything differently, but I got the impression that they were not happy about all the trips back. Again, I don't blame them for the frigidaire defective product, but they seemed to totally frustrated by the whole event, and to tell you the truth we were too.

The repair went very well. I contacted this company after hours on Tuesday evening and by Wednesday am before 11 it was repaired. The gentlemen Tony was so informative about all aspects of the repair process and gave us many suggestions in keeping the machine working in good condition. He was prompt, courteous and pricing was good. I love working with individuals who really know their business, get to the point, fix it quickly and most of all explain in detail what needs done. I will definately call upon this company for all my appliance repairs. Can't say enough good about them.

Knew the problem immediately. Advised better to purchase new dishwasher than repair old one.

After 2 and a quarter hours we called them again and the office person said he would have the tech contact us right away. About 5 minutes later, Marcus, the tech called and asked if he could come by around 5:00 pm. We told him we had a previous engagement and would like to make it for the next day. Marcus called before he drove to the condo and met us on time. Here's where things go south. He told us we now need a new compressor. We asked about price etc. and determined it would be about the same cost as a new refrigerator. Now Marcus tells me he has to charge us another service call to the tune of $89.00. When I questioned this he said he would credit us for the part but would still need to charge the service call. After much back and forth I told Marcus to put it on the credit card (they charge $5.00 ) but I was going to challenge it. He then told me we would have to pay cash. My husband told him he did not have that much cash and Marcus told him he did because he saw cash in his wallet. At this point this angry young man is starting to really raise his voice. I asked him why he was yelling at me! I told him I wanted to speak with the owner. I dialed the owner and put him on speaker phone. I started to explain my concern about the service call and Tony (the owner) asked to with Marcus. I handed my phone to Marcus and he immediately turned off the speaker. I demanded that he turn it on and give me the phone. He flat out refused. When I reached to remove it from his hands he said "Don't touch me." This is all happening in front of the president of our condo association as well. Now we get to Tony the owner. He doesn't seem to understand that our time is valuable as well, especially since our problem was not solved. No one deserves to be spoken to the way he spoke to me. When I told him, "very nice language" he said, "Well I did say pardon my French." as some sort of excuse. I wish I had read Angie's List before calling A&J but we had used them a couple of years before for a very minor issue. All I can say is if you want to be in the company of a defensive, immature, arrogant person and want to be told off in no uncertain terms by the owner of the company Call A&J!

The service technician arrived within the specified time given. The technician understood the problem and was quickly able to remove the drawer and basket required to clear the drain. He cleared the drain and reassembled the drawer and basket in the freezer correctly, completing the repair. The technician was well trained and pleasant. I would call A&J Appliance Service again.

Had just moved into the home within the last 2 weeks. Placed call late morning on a Saturday, engineer arrived within two hours. Diagnosed problem very quickly, allowed me time to clean (something the previous owner had obviously never done!) Explained what we needed to do. Very courteous. Will certainly call again if the need arises.

They were professional and courteous. They were quick and the work was excellent. The fridge works like brand new.

He was real good, personable, knew what he was doing, fast, clean, and quick. Even the lady on the phone was real great. We called in the middle of the day and somebody was here in two to three hours.

I called on 6/30/14 to get information and pricing for a service call on my fridge and washer machine. I spoke to Charlie, and was asking questions regarding the service call fee, and the rating of their last review on 6/25/14 which reflected an "F." I also asked how many years of experience the technicians had that would be coming out, and he told me that it varies depending on who would be sent out, but ranged from 2 years to 20 years. During this whole conversation, a lady named Juliana was on the line listening to my questions, and she must not have liked the fact that I was questioning their last rating and the years of experience because she starting raising her voice at me and said, "Look, the questions you are asking are out of line." I then asked her if it were her money and appliances to be serviced, would she not ask the same questions? Because the last time I checked, it's my money that's paying for the service call and repairs, my home that they would be coming to, and I am entitled to question the reviews on Angie's List because that's what the service is for. She continued to raise her voice to me firing back with very rude and inconsiderate remarks, and then just hung up the phone. I simply called A & J Appliance Repair to get a quote and information for repairs on my appliances. I am 8 months pregnant with high risk factors, and I certainly didn't deserve the attitude and disrespect that I received from this company. This also make me second guess the level of expertise that this company has and the quality of work that they perform. Save yourself the hassle and headache with this company because if you're seeking professionalism and courtesy like I am, this is not the company for you. Steer clear!

As I said above,it went very well.I had used AandJ before,last year when I had had problems with my refrigerator that wasn't keeping food cold and I was happy with their work then so,naturally I called them for this repair.

Their level of professional was abhorrent. In fact it was the least professional service that has ever come to the house. Details- * They came over unexpectedly. They should have called us 30 minutes before they came over. * One of the two repairmen (the younger one) showed no level of professionalism or respect in our house at all. He never looked up from his cell phone the entire time on what appeared to be Instagram surfing while randomly laughing very loudly. * They refused to accept the Angies List 5% off coupon saying that this was only for when service was done -- not for the service call. This is in direct contradiction to the text on the coupon "5% OFF FOR ANGIE'S LIST MEMBERS WITH COUPON". Even though this was only for 5% when I would normally tip well over 5%, I feel cheated. * The only saving grace is that the older repairmen did seem to know what we has doing and quickly fixed the problem -- food was stuck in the latch. My hope is that the slightly older gentlemen who has some knowledge no longer allows the younger goofier one to tag along and he learns to respect the customer perspective more. I imagine that this would allow their service to improve for other customers since there is no way that they will ever be invited back to my house. -Sincerely

Marcus was quick to check out what was wrong with my dishwasher! He called me back that night around 6:30 to let me know when the part would be in along with the quote to repair. He called me on Friday to let me know the part came in, he came out on Saturday to fix my dishwasher at no extra cost! I will definitely use them again for all appliance repair!! And it's a local family business!! Support local businesses!!!

I called on Saturday and they showed up within two hours and fixed my refrigerator the same day. That was great, didn't waste my day waiting around. I had other service companies and they don't compare to the service of A & J.

I called A & J in the morning of 4/23/14. They were at the job site within 2 hours. They were professional and came with a well stocked truck. They always leave the part they replace which was an ice maker. I have been in the property management field for over 50 years and they were best I have used. I will use them again for all of our firm's appliance repair.
