Not good. The service man marked the bill of sale that the customer declined leak testing. What happened was that I was relying on the service tech to give me info that I could use to make and informed decision. The ac unit was recharged and no leaks were tested for or fixed so in 3 days time the system did not cool again. I called progressive again and a different service tech came out and leak tested the unit and said that there were leaks and he did not offer to repair but said the ac unit was an oddball brand, agreed, and that the service manager would call with price of new coil, new unit, etc. I followed up with the service manager but it took 10 days for his call. I called another ac firm and their tech found 2 leaks, repaired them and the unit has been working fine since.

Progressive serviced my old system in March of 2011 which was failing and after numerous repairs the Tech offered estimates for a replacement AC system. The Tech was informative and offered numerous system options for me to choose from covering different SEERs and prices. I made my choice and the system was installed shortly after without any problems. They even deducted the repair cost of my old unit from the price of the new system. The installers did a lot of little extra things to make it a professional installation. I have used them annually for servicing the new unit to keep it in tip top condition. They also recommended I put a surge suppressor on the units to keep from damaging the units during brown outs and power failures (lost a capacitor already).
Overall I have been satisfied with their abilities and performance. They also have 24 hour service if needed and of course my capacitor went out on a Sunday in the summer but they responded within 2 hours and had me up and running.

I found out by looking up the AHRI certificate that it's a discontinued 14 seer model and although I was promised a callback by a manager I never received one. So, THAT lack of follow up from management is ultimately why I am saying that this was an over all fail by progressive. The lady I spoke with who promised a manager callback was also adamant and argumentative and did not listen to me. As a result I also remain a little bit skeptical about seer rating.

They did a good job, explained everything they were doing and we were very satisfied with the service. In fact we have signed a maintenance agreement with them. We got a big deal and it was for diagnosing a problem and they found the problem, identified what the issue was and did a good job of explaining what it was all about. So we were very satisfied. We have a new house and the contractor had installed a very bad system.

I called Progressive to speak with them about a yearly maintenance contract in 2010. It was determined after that I had a leak in my old AC. They installed anew one. They protected all the flooring inside the house. They were efficient, and performed the task well. I still have my Haeting/AC contract with them today.

We have a contract with them. We've had no problems with them at all. Their pricing is fair and reasonable. The quality of the work is very good. They are very responsive. We will probably stay with them.

Two technicians (Lance and Randy) installed two ducts and serviced both of my units.
Not the easiest of jobs as they had to make sure both ducts were placed in an optimal
location. This involved climbing through my small attic, avoiding all the cable wires, speaker wires,
existing duct work, existing electrical lines.
Work was done quickly, neatly and professionally.

I called Progressive to do routine maintenance on 2 air conditioners for my home. I found out that one of the systems was leaking freon, and was not worth repairing. I purchased a new a/c and also signed a contract for routine maintenance. I found all the employees involved with these transactions to be helpful and professional. The install went very smoothly. They covered all flooring in my home leading to the upstairs system. They transplanted plantings which were in the way of the outside system. All in all I had a good experience.

"Big Mike" was the service technician that was assigned to the call. Not only did he call me about 15 minutes prior the scheduled time (to make sure I was home from work by then), he arrived a few minutes early and waited for me to get home. He was fast, efficient, and explained everything that he was doing, and why the compressor stopped working (it was a blown fuse due to power surges). He also spot-checked my A/C system and explained how the warranty from Trane still had another year left. I was extremely pleased with the scheduling of the service call and the manner in which Mike handled the issue. So many techs have this "holier than thou" attitude towards customers, but Mike was just awesome. I highly recommend Progressive!

Estimating the cost of the new A/C was handled very professionally with the person immediately eliminating the "cadillac" version since we did not need it. Then he described all the refunds and rebates and the bottom line was very reasonable and significantly less than the other estimate. The unit was installed the next day and the installers were very neat and professional. I was a bit apprehensive to buy the maintenance agreement wary that it was just a way to find more problems in the other units and sell more service. But to my great surprise when they came out to inspect the two older units they found only minor problems that they fixed for free! Highly recommend these people for A/C issues

Our air conditioning stopped working on a 90 degree plus day. One call and they had someone there in an hour. The tech knew exactly what the problem was and fixed it. When I told the tech I had just recently purchased the home, he took the time to explain the heating cooling system to me, and recommended some maintenance tips to keep the system running efficiently.
