Response from Certified Plumbing Services Inc
wow, really surprised at the less than satisfactory comment...They had bought a new dishwasher and called me to install...When i arrived, i was greeted by a woman w a small baby and the family dog...all was fine and had to slide dining room table out of way because the new dishwasher was in the box , in the garage, behind the pool table...I gladly used my dolly and got it into the house kitchen area...i un crated it and proceeded to remove the existing dishwasher that was in the corner installed under cabinet...Did have a tough time removing as opening in cabinet was tight...I ran a new water line and drain line thru cabinet as to insure a good new installation...meanwhile , i noticed the disposal was not working and asked the woman if she wanted that addressed...she said yes and it needed replacement, so while i worked on completing the install of the new dishwasher, she ran up to home depot and bought a new one on my advice...then the husband, [member name removed] arrived home and told me the shutoff valve under the sink was not working so i investigated the situation and found the valve buried so far back into the wall that i would have to cut into back of cabinet and block exterior wall...I proceeded to attempt to repair existing valve to no avail, so i explained the steps needed to replace valve and they declined so, i re established the water to the house and proceeded w finishing the install of dishwasher and new disposal...all went well w the exception that the new dishwasher install was a bit difficult w opening provided and i needed to use longer screws to secure to cabinet top as it was deteriorated ,...i completed the install of disposal and then once again explained the steps i would need to take to fix the valve situation ...all was fine, no leaks , dishwasher tested out good...faulty valve was in tact but wouldnt shut off all the way ( which would not cause an immediate problem, as valve was for the water to the dishwasher and could be addressed when they were prepared to move forward with that issue)...I cleaned up my materials and mess... surely did not notice any screws on the floor as i had retrieved the 2 that i did not use...I spent approx. 3 hrs at their house and all went well , shook hands and offered to take the old dishwasher away for them free of charge but they declined....I really value the comments made about my business and take heart and notice to all my customers needs...I really did feel that all went well with the job and cant see any reason that they stated that they would not hire me again...i will certainly respond and learn from any comments that any of my customers have and do welcome them...But must admit , Was very surprised to read their comments, as the job they had was more difficult than most scopes of work of that nature and i forged ahead and got them taken care of...so sorry for the small screws i missed on the floor...will really keep an eye out in the future...Thank you, Ron Harvley Owner and operator of Certified Plumbing Services, Inc. 386-252-1000.
