Repaired as best as possible.  Would have had to remove entire shower unit to do a more thorough job, which would have been much more expensive..

Ron showed up at 9:50 for a 10am appointment. He got to work installing the disposer, taking time to explain some defficiencies in the way that my sink was installed with respect to the plumbing lines. He managed to work around the problem and warned me about some minor issues that the workaround would cause. I needed to run to the hardware store to get him a part that wasn't in his truck. But I don't consider that a bad thing because you can imagine how expensive it would be to hire a plumber who carried every possible part all over town all day long.
While I was out at the hardware store, he finished reconnecting the drain pull on another sink. When I returned to inspect the job, I discovered that the bottom of the cabinet below the sink was moist. I asked him to take a look, and he said that he could also feel the moisture, but didn't see any droplets and, after several tests, concluded that there was no active leak. Most likely he just dripped some water under the cabinet during his repair of the drain pull. There was evidence of a past leak, though, so he said I should monitor the situation and call him if it returns. I know many plumbers who would have said that the dampness was due to an active leak, requiring immediate and expensive repair. Ron gave me an estimate of what it would cost to repair, but said that it wasn't currently necessary.
He billed me for time actually spent working, which was close enough to 2 hours. That included running back to his truck a few times to fetch parts, but again, we can't expect a plumber to carry every theoretically relevant part in his tool case.
I gave his company a "C" for pricing because it's averagish, but not cheap. Personally, I would prefer to have an "A" plumber with "C" pricing, than a "C" plumber with "A" pricing.
I'm sure he could have done the job faster, but I think it's in my own best interest to have someone who is relaxed and focussed on doing serious work, than someone who's rushing to just make it look decent.
Overall, Ron strikes me as one of those outstanding professionals who you meet from time to time, who are more about solving problems than sales talk.

Response from Certified Plumbing Services Inc

"wow, really surprised at the less than satisfactory comment...They had bought a new dishwasher and called me to install...When i arrived, i was greeted by a woman w a small baby and the family dog...all was fine and had to slide dining room table out of way because the new dishwasher was in the box , in the garage, behind the pool table...I gladly used my dolly and got it into the house kitchen area...i un crated it and proceeded to remove the existing dishwasher that was in the corner installed under cabinet...Did have a tough time removing as opening in cabinet was tight...I ran a new water line and drain line thru cabinet as to insure a good new installation...meanwhile , i noticed the disposal was not working and asked the woman if she wanted that addressed...she said yes and it needed replacement, so while i worked on completing the install of the new dishwasher, she ran up to home depot and bought a new one on my advice...then the husband, [member name removed] arrived home and told me the shutoff valve under the sink was not working so i investigated the situation and found the valve buried so far back into the wall that i would have to cut into back of cabinet and block exterior wall...I proceeded to attempt to repair existing valve to no avail, so i explained the steps needed to replace valve and they declined so, i re established the water to the house and proceeded w finishing the install of dishwasher and new disposal...all went well w the exception that the new dishwasher install was a bit difficult w opening provided and i needed to use longer screws to secure to cabinet top as it was deteriorated ,...i completed the install of disposal and then once again explained the steps i would need to take to fix the valve situation ...all was fine, no leaks , dishwasher tested out good...faulty valve was in tact but wouldnt shut off all the way ( which would not cause an immediate problem, as valve was for the water to the dishwasher and could be addressed when they were prepared to move forward with that issue)...I cleaned up my materials and mess... surely did not notice any screws on the floor as i had retrieved the 2 that i did not use...I spent approx. 3 hrs at their house and all went well , shook hands and offered to take the old dishwasher away for them free of charge but they declined....I really value the comments made about my business and take heart and notice to all my customers needs...I really did feel that all went well with the job and cant see any reason that they stated that they would not hire me again...i will certainly respond and learn from any comments that any of my customers have and do welcome them...But must admit , Was very surprised to read their comments, as the job they had was more difficult than most scopes of work of that nature and i forged ahead and got them taken care of...so sorry for the small screws i missed on the floor...will really keep an eye out in the future...Thank you, Ron Harvley Owner and operator of Certified Plumbing Services, Inc. 386-252-1000."

I was desperately trying to find someone to come and replace my water heater.  After trying Lowe's and Home Depot, hoping they'd be able to come to my house on a Saturday, I struck out.  So I started going down the list and calling plumbers in my area.  I called and left a message with Ron at Certified Plumbing Services.  He called me back and said he'd be able to schedule me for Sunday morning.  Because it was the weekend, he wouldn't be able to get a heater so I'd have to buy one myself.  So I went to Lowe's, picked up a heater and expansion tank, and called Ron back.
Early the next morning, Ron was at my door.  He got my old heater out and had the new one installed in an hour and a half.  He was very professional and courteous.  I couldn't thank him enough for coming out on a cold Sunday morning to replace my water heater.  I would definitely recommend Certified Plumbing Services and will definitely use them again in the future!

Everything was excellent.
After reading other Angie's List reviews, I called and left a voice mail for Ron pretty early Friday morning, unfortunately I missed him but left a voice mail. I missed his return call due to work. During the meantime, I called several other outfits in the area getting pricing to compare. Before setting anything up I gave him a call back and he answered this time. He was very friendly when we spoke & was apologetic that he couldn't answer my call earlier. He gave me an estimate over the phone, he was already booked that afternoon but had availability Monday morning.
Fast forward a few days, Ron called shortly before arriving and was at my home at the scheduled time. It only took a few hours to install & remove the old hot water heater. I wasn't home but he showed her how to use it & cleaned up the work area. (It was cleaner after he left than it was before he arrived). My wife said he was super nice (not a comment she gives out very often) and was very happy with his work. The final price was slightly higher ($40) than initially quoted because we did not have a drip-pan & there was a slight cost increase to have it installed & run the piping for it outside. This was not unexpected since he gave a blind estimate over the phone and I honestly knew almost nothing about what we had installed or setup. I wasn't there so I don't know if it was required or just recommended, but we wanted one anyways since the old one made a mess when it leaked everywhere.
If I, or any of my friends have a plumbing problem in the future, I know who I'm going to call.
I called the number off of the website (plumbermen.com) for the Port Orange area (386-761-2727). I don't know if the number on Angies List goes to the same person or not, 761-2727 is the number I used.

Ron was very thorough and completed the job of cleaning the shower drains expeditiously.  Additionally, he offered to check my hot water heater for potential problems and was able to explain to me possible concerning areas with helpful hints and remedies without pressuring me into buying a new hot water heater. His expertise was appreciated and the fees charged were certainly fair for his services.

It went very well, considering I never understand why plumbers always charge so much.  It was necessary for me to have this valve replaced so I could have a new dishwasher installed, therefore nothing would have made this unexpected expense an excellent experience.

Ron was easy to work with. He was quick to respond, communicated very professionally and was fast and friendly. My parents are very picky people so when they are happy with someone - it means the person did a very good job indeed! Not only would I recommend Ron but I am in the process of hiring himself again for our own home.

I called and left a message which was returned within a day or so. He made an appointment and arrived promptly. He replaced the hosecocks in a couple of hours and was on his way. Subsequently I experienced a large water bill from a stuck toilet bowl flapper. I asked him to determine if a replacement was necessary. He came by the next time he was in the area, checked the commode and made a minor adjustment. He determined there were no other leaks and left. He didn't charge me for the visit.

After reading the reviews on Angie's List, I called Ron and left a message. He called me back within about 5 minutes! He was tied up but knowing that the leak was bad, managed to come over very quickly and determined what was wrong. He had been concerned that the unit might not have been fixable, being from the 1960's, but fortunately, it was a Gerber, and he said the parts were still designed the same way, so it wasn't necessary to cut through the wall or install an entirely new unit.
I found Ron to be extremely professional from start to finish. I don't think I've ever had a service professional respond as quickly before. He told me up front what the cost would be as far as the cost of parts, but didn't tell me the price of his labor until after he finished. He didn't charge me for the drive time to get some parts he needed, though. The total was higher than I expected, but it was worth it to have received the timely, qualified work that Ron provided. Had I had to wait another day, it could have cost me a small fortune in my water bill since the leak was escalating.
I think most of us have had people come to our homes looking dirty and slovenly, and being late, and worse, lying about what was really wrong and overcharging for their services, or even leaving something wrong so they would have to come back at a later date to fix what should have been done right the first time. Ron was definitely not like that! He looked neat and clean, responded almost immediately to my phone call, called to let me know when he was on his way, and was courteous and professional. He said what he would do, and did what he said. He even noticed the handle on my toilet had broken, and replaced that, too! This was one of the best experiences I've ever had with a service professional and I would highly recommend Ron to anyone needing an expert plumber!

Ron came out the afternoon I called about a small leak in my main bathroom.  He immediately found the problem and fixed it.  I then asked for an estimate on fixing a leaky shower in one bathroom and a loud shower in another bathroom.  He ended up cutting through the 1947 built wall (if you know what those are like) behind the shower and replaced the fixtures.  He did the same thing in the other shower (he happily reported that the pipes were still in good shape).  Noticing the calcium buildup around the faucet in the kitchen, he asked me to look up information about the Pelican water filtration system, which I did.  The system was $2000, and the labor was $800.  He took two days to allow for absorption, put the tanks on a double layer of cement slabs, installed the pre-filter, and ran a new line to my washing machine. He also tried to fix a leaky kitchen faucet, but the fixture had plastic parts that were not very good, so I asked him to replace it.  That will require another visit next week, when he will recheck the previous work.
I appreciated Ron's communication with me about everything he was doing.  He called the day before to confirm our appointment.  He called the morning of to let me know he was on the way.  He had me check everything he did and explained what he was doing, how he was doing it, and why he was doing it that way.  When he had to come upstairs, he always called out to let me know to make sure I wasn't surprised.
He and his work are professional.  He has a comfortable personality, listens well, and cleans up after himself.  I wish all service people were as good.

Received my quotation from Ron a few hours after calling for an oversized hot water heater replacement - exactly as he had promised. His price was reasonable for the size and quality offered and an appointment was made with us to start work in a few days at myhome between 9:00 and 9:30 AM. Ron called my at 8:00 advising me he would be 15 minutes later than scheduled due to a plumbing emergency which arose. I was VERY impressed! Many service folk give me a 2-4 hour window and often don't call at all even if they arean entire day late. Ron arrived at precisely the time he said and I was very impressed with his vast knowledge and obvious competence. He installed the unit in a thoroughly professional manner adding a drip pan and drain lines through an outer wall (which was not doneby the previous installer) He finished the job on time and at precisely the price he had quoted originally. I was delighted with hisprofessionalism and intend using him in the future for all our plumbing needs.
