Contractor never returned my phone call

As usual, an excellent job. There was a huge existing mirror above the bathroom vanity that needed to be taken down for the remodel as it was being replaced by two smaller, individual mirrors. Jason, Rand R owner, initially thought he could take it down, but after an attempt, realized it was so large and epoxied so tightly to the wallboard, that it would be preferable and safer for a professional to remove it. He hired a glass company to come and remove the mirror, at no extra charge to me. After the mirror was removed, Jason removed one very large and one smaller side wall medicine cabinets and the existing light fixtures over the vanity. All the wallboard was then perfectly repaired to a smooth finish. To replace the side medicine cabinets, a hutch, to match the existing cabinetry, was to be installed on top of the vanity. Jason designed the hutch and then arranged for a cabinet maker to build it. When it arrived, it matched perfectly the existing cabinetry. To install the hutch, a portion of the marble backsplash above the vanity had to be cut, which Jason did with precision. He also installed an electrical outlet in the hutch, to allow my make up mirror to be plugged in and hidden away. The hutch included adjustable shelves. After the installation, crown molding was put along the top. It now looks as if the hutch was part of the original cabinetry. Done perfectly. Two new individual mirrors and new light fixtures were installed on either side of the new hutch above the vanity sinks. All new upgraded sink and tub faucets and shower fixtures were installed. The existing toilet was removed and a new toilet was installed. Old towel bars were removed and new ones installed. I purchased all these items and Jason picked them up and delivered them to the house. In the master bedroom closet, which is on the other side of the wall to the master bath, the wall was opened up where the old medicine cabinet had been in the bathroom, giving additional closet space.. Shelves were installed in the space. Every day that work was being done, before Jason left for the day, the area was cleaned of debris and the area vacuumed. All of this work was done personally by Jason. I couldn't be more pleased. I continue to hire him for anything I need done in my home. He is the best!!! Next project here for Jason: roof cleaning and exterior house painting. s

I am thrilled to death with him. This guy is great. He does everything for me now because he is so good. The lanai is just spectacular. He has gone above and beyond what anyone else would do. Every time he does work for me he goes above and beyond what he's supposed to do. Whatever he does is beautifully done. He cleans up after himself every single day; he does not leave a mess even at the end of the day. He is unbelievable. He is almost an artist at what he does as opposed to just doing something. When he was laying the pavers in my lanai he spent about five hours laying ten tiles around the sculptured garden part of my pool area. He is really good. As for his price, I don't have anything to gauge him against. I just hire him because I know he's going to do a good job. I don't get bids anymore because I'm more interested in getting something done right than getting it done for the cheapest price. I think it is well worth it. Someone else might have charged me less but I guarantee that they wouldn't have spent the time doing the work that he has been doing. He is doing it himself; he hasn't hired a crew of people to come out and help. He told me it was going to take a long time because he was going to do it himself. I told him that was okay because I didn't care how long it took. If I needed it done quickly, he said I could hire someone to do it quickly but they weren't going to clean up after themselves every day and they weren't going to spend the time doing it. He said they would do a good job but they wouldn't do the same kind of job he was going to do for me. I told him to go ahead and do it. I feel he is going above and beyond what I am paying him for. He is the first person I call when I need anything done. He is not the fastest person but that's because he is so determined to do it correctly and do it right. A lot of people might be unhappy that it takes him so long to do something. My theory is I'd rather it took a long time to do it right than to do it fast. If you want it done fast, he's probably not the guy you want to go to. If you want it done right, he is definitely the guy to go to. I would give him an A+++.
