Albert Waugh Concrete

Albert came out to give me an estimate on the work. He was the only company I called for an estimate, not because I didn't know of any others but because I got a good feeling about his abilities and workmanship. He drew up his idea of what he thought would look good and I let him give me suggestions on what color and pattern to use. He really knows his craft and I could sense that in our conversation.
His team came out , cleared the area, laid the form boards, poured the concrete and then later came back to finish up the job.
My husband and I are very pleased with the out come.

Turned a yard that looked hideous into something that I am now proud to show people. Albert and his crew were the essence of professionalism. I also have to say Albert's design was really out out of the box, and looks so good. I would absolutely, positively recommend Albert to anyone needing concrete work done. I plan on hiring him in the near future to pour a new patio on the front of our house. By the way, I am former construction superintendent that specialized in commercial concrete. I know good work when I see it.

I was pleased with Mr. Darmata.  He came out on a Saturday morning to give me a quote and was professional and polite.  While I was waiting for Mr. Darmata to get my fencing in, I emailed him and made a change to the original plan I had requested.  Diana responded to me the same day, got me a new quote, and made the process easy even though I'm sure it was an inconvenience for me to make that change.  Once the materials came in, my fence was installed in less than a day and it looks fantastic.  Mr. Darmata did a quality job and I will recommend him to anyone.

I made an appointment with him to come out and give me an estimate to pour a brand new concrete driveway, sidewalk and pads, and he never showed up.

It was a big job and the rains made it tough but we are very happy with the end result. The driveway is beautiful and we are very happy with it in every respect. We have received many compliments from neighbors as well. We are looking forward to many years of use and are pleased with our choice of materials, finish and with the contractor.

He and his crew came when he said they would. The job was done in one day, They came back a day later to clean up the yard, retrieve the wood frames and to make cuts in the concrete to prevent cracking. They did a beautiful job! I would not hesitate to recommend him to anyone and when I decide to redo my driveway I will call Albert.

I contacted Albert Waugh because I had been referred to several concrete companies by friends and they did not even bother to return the call.  This company had good ratings on Angie's List so I gave them a try.  I was contacted immediately by Mr. Waugh who arrived as promised and gave me a good estimate.  He included rebar to strengthen the driveway and recommended cuts every eight feet to reduce cracking.  The job started on time and the driveway was removed....then the rains came!  I was contacted by Mr. Waugh and he offered to try to move forward but strongly recommneded we wait for a dryer day.  Since I wanted it done right, we waited.  The first possible day, they poured and then covered the work with heavy plastic and the driveway is perfect.  I was impressed that they leveled the ground and compacted it so that they were pouring over a solid foundation.  After the pour was completed, they cleaned up the site and then called to see if I was satisfied before asking for payment. This was a difficult job as it POURED every day around noon to 1 PM but (since clearly they have no control over the weather) we waited and the wait was worth the effort as the job is excellent.  Several of my neighbors have been by to compliment the work and one of my friends is going to use this company for her patio.  I told Mr. Waugh that they best part was his communication.  I did not have to call once to find out what was going on or why there was a delay (though I could figure it out...RAIN!) but he called me anyway.  Excellent Company!

The crew of Albert Waugh Concrete was very cooperative and were willing to make minor changes to the plan as the work went forward. They were higher priced than the competitor but they offered and did more with regard to the actual installation. I would use them again in the future.

I wouldn’t hire him to do anything because he came to give me an estimate and it’s been six months now and I haven’t heard from him about the estimate or the plans or anything. He was fine when he came out to talk to me, to give me estimate and tell me about the arrangements. He told me that he would call me in a week but didn’t hear anything from him so I called him back and the answer I got was that he was out of town and would get back to me when he has to which was so rude. I would never recommend him to anybody.

Albert is very polite, his crew always arrived promptly, and work commenced immediately.  We are very pleased with the finished result exactly as we requested.  The sidewalk has a curve in it from house to workshop that really enhanced the finished product.

We wanted an 11 x 11ft square poured in our backyard for our grill and a table.  When he came out, he told us that for no extra charge, he could make it more decorative by changing the shape a bit. I asked him about stamping the concrete and he only charged me a bit more. He suggested a color and pattern and it turned out looking amazing! It is better than I had originally envisioned.  It looks very elegant.

Albert is very professional  and artistic about what he does. 
He knows what he is doing and obviously has some very good people working for him.
He was the only person I called and I didn't bother to get any other quotes.  He knew what I wanted - without even asking!
I would gladly reccomend him to anyone who needed any concrete work done.

.I have been very pleased with their service. They've done a good job. They have worked steadily since they've arrived and seem knowledgeable. It has been  an expensive job and has gone over the estimate because of some extra work they have had to do.

They did a terrific job! The driveway looks absolutely great! He offered us supports for the sides of the driveway, which no other company offered to do. Also, when I was not completely confident in the driveway being too close to me neighbor, they came right out and to move it (pre-pouring).

Albert was very easy to get in touch with throughout the project.  He was the most expensive quote I received by about $200, but I felt more comfortable with him and his experience than the others.
They came out and prepped the area one day and poured the concrete the next.  Everything went smoothly from a customers perspective even though they had problems they had to deal with.  On the way to my home their trailer with the Georgia Buggy (large motorized wheel barrow used to move the concrete) flipped and was destroyed.  It also dumped the dirt they intended to use to level the area.  They were able to get a new buggy in time for the concrete, and filled the area with concrete (creating a VERY thick slab) without charging me extra.

I have had many contractors quoting other jobs I am planning, and almost all have asked who did the concrete because of the excellent work.  I was happy, but didn't fully appreciate what a fine job Albert Waugh Concrete did until others "in the know" commented on it and told me.
