Safe Guard Roofing

Safeguard roofing replaced my roof recently. They were efficient, cleaned up every night, and came out immediately if there was a question or issue I had. They also had the best pricing. I'm the 2nd family member to use them. I highly recommend them

Once the tiles were available, it was a very quick process to get complete the project. Very responsive customer service! Good value.

This experience is the worst that I have had with any contractor. This had been a long and stressful job which is still not completed. I have had shingles/tar and equipment sitting on my roof for almost two months not to mention a ladder that sits outside my living room window as well. I keep calling and no one seems to know what is going on or tells me that it is not their department. I keep getting told that they will finish by this day and then no one shows up or calls or anything. This is infuriating, by far the worst experience by any company. Please find another company even if it costs a little more, it is not worth the trouble. I can't even re-up my insurance policy because the roof is not complete.

SG Roofing is not punctual, courteous or timely. They do not return phone calls, voicemails, emails or text messages. They demand payment BEFORE the work is done. The consumer does not know if or when they are coming or leaving the site. When are they coming back? Who knows. This is no way to run a business. My advice is do not hire them.

Went well. They showed up right away, gave what I think was a reasonable quote, and performed the work that very day.

Great but make sure that you count the plywood sheets because they just charge you anything they say they used. I watched them deliver and unload and paid for double the amount. Also they had me pay the final payment before final inspection.

In the end, it appears that Safeguard Roofing put on good roof but BEFORE YOU HIRE THEM, READ THIS REVIEW!!!! I signed the contract with them in early December of 2018. The job didn't get completed until July of 2018 (8 months). When I picked the tile from the catalogue they showed me, I asked if they had that tile in stock and I was told "Yes". They claim the job took so long because they couldn't get the tile. Their initial contract came in at what I thought was a reasonable price but the contract only covered 100 sq ft of 'new wood'. (I should have negotiated better). So, I ended up paying another $1,850 for plywood and facia. Considering that a 4' x 8' piece of plywood costs about $35-$40 a sheet (retail) at Home Depot, what Safeguard charged was ridiculous. Additionally, when they replaced some facia, they left spaces between the soffit vents and the new facia. In one area, I had to pay an additional $250.00 for a contractor to fill in those spaces (about 20 feet up) which we agreed to deduct from the final bill. Safeguard felt that was not their responsibility and acted like they were doing me a favor. Also, when one of their contractors delivered the tar/asphalt and tarpaper they used a truck which had an extendable conveyer belt which they positioned right on the front gutter of the house which, of course, bent that gutter. The same contractor that I paid to fill in the spaces between the soffit vents and facia tried bending it back but I'm going to have to replace it. Again, Safeguard doesn't feel that it's their responsibility. Also, Safeguard uses different subcontractors for each phase of the job - one group to remove the existing tile and strip the roof, another group to replace wood and facia, another group to apply the first layer of tarpaper, another group to hot mop, etc., etc.. If you don't speak Spanish fluently, you will have trouble communicating with them. And most of the time you don't know when they are coming. There were times I would suddenly hear someone up on the roof at 7:00 at night because they had to do something before the local inspector showed up. At this point, I can only hope that they did a good job re-roofing the house but only time will tell. The original contract price was for about $24,000 - by the time we were done 7 or 8 months later, I paid close to $27,000 and I still have to replace that bent gutter and repair two more soffit vents. Once they got my final payment, they said they were going to send me Warranty papers - I'm not holding my breath.

Best company to work with. They took over for our previous contractors, what a nightmare they were. We were hesitant with choosing a new company after all.we went through but Safeguard did an inc job and in a timely manner. John walked us through every detail and really changed our entire experience. Much appreciated!

Came out when they said they would, installed new skylights and vents, and installed it at the price that they quoted.  Didn't make a mess, didn't cause any damage.  I would say I got exactly what I asked for. Extremely professional all around.
