Awesome company and awesome owner! It is literally Phil who shows up (with an experienced crew) and gets to work! He has the machinery needed to get the biggest jobs done quickly and, more important, safely! He is also a stand-up guy who will not trim a tree that doesn’t need it! He took extra dying branches off one of my big trees bc they needed to be removed to keep the tree healthy, but he also explained to me why some other branches did not need to be trimmed! This is what you get when you hire a “certified arborist” who’s been doing this for almost 40 years and really knows what he’s doing. I was also a little worried about a 500 lb branch hanging over my roof… didn’t need to worry bc they removed it without any problem at all! Can’t say enough good stuff about them!

I left 3 messages but none were returned. I had used this company 2 years ago and they were great, but obviously they don't need the business now. Very unprofessional.

Called them and spoke with a woman who said she would have Phil call me within the next 30 minutes to set up an appointment. No one ever called. I called back twice and left voicemail messages, but no return phone calls. Very unprofessional!!

I do not think there is any reason to have a business if you cannot hire someone to answer the phone and take messages and return calls.  There are plenty of people who need jobs.  We hired him years ago when he was starting out and he was delightful and did a great job (his mother was answering his business calls at that time and she also did a great job of it).  It's sad that his business does not return calls or answer emails!  People are waiting forever for a response when they should be calling other professionals who do not leave people hanging.  After checking Angie's List reviews, I see I am one of many and  should not take it personally!

Phil's Expert Tree Service apparently believes that being in business means you don't return calls and provide services as advertised. Phil wasted more than a month on my time by not returning multiple calls and when I did speak with him he promised he would get back to me and NEVER DID! The only thing Phil's Expert Tree Service is expert about is telling stories about not having enough workers and never returning calls.  My advice to anyone needing tree service, DON'T CALL PHIL'S TREE SERVICE. He will disrespect you as a customer like he did to me and my family. BE FORWARNED. There are plenty of other worthy providers in this market.

I left a message during business hours on Friday morning to request a quote for work I need done in my yard almost a week ago, and never heard back.

They were great. He came in with all of his equipment and men and did the job in "no time"! All of the huge stumps were removed with no damage to the sprinkler heads close by. Phil was such a pleasure to deal with, and I would definitely recommend him to anyone needing tree service!

I have used the provider before. If they show up they are great. Problem is they are very inconsistent. They never return phone calls.

As stated before, I went with another tree design firm.

Finally a reliable and punctual tree service company. Phil returned each calls promptly from the time I needed a quote until the work was performed. His crew was actually hauling the the tree parts in their arms and dolly instead of dragging them on my pavers like other companies have done and I didn't even had to ask. The whole crew worked like an orchestra. They cleaned everything after. Thanks Phil.

If we had a limitless budget, Phil would be our guy! Unfortunately, we went with another company, but not without a certain level of guilt.  He is very personable, funny, and was far more than just a tree-guy!  My mother-in-law said, "too bad all the other contractors aren't like Bon-Phillip!"  He even spoke in her native language when she seemed confused, I will recommend Phil anytime, truly a pleasure and has knowledge far beyond trees. It is so rare to meet people who love their trade and are genuinely pleasant. Kudos!

After resolving a communications issue, they provided excellent service

Phil did a great job for a competitive price and accomplished it in a timely manner. He went out of his way to get a permit pushed thru the city fast so that I could proceed with pool construction in my yard.

Steve called me back the day I called the Co.  He came by later that day and gave me an estimate. They do the work in our park so I was familiar with the Co.  The trucks, about 5 of them, showed up 7:30 the morning it was scheduled.  I was amazed at the  way everyone began to work knowing just what to do.  They removed a very large royal palm, 2 tabubilia trees and cut down to arica palms to ground level on one and as close to ground level as they could on the other.  I also had them trim back the branches of a large black olive tree on my neighbors lawn that encroached our property.  They did excellent work, cleaned perfectly and Steve made sure I was happy with the work before I paid them.  I couldn't have chosen a better tree service

I recently purchased a new home and had an eucalyptus tree in the backyard that had fallen over onto the privacy fence. I called Phil's Expert Tree Service and and someone was able to promptly come out. Due to the limited access to the tree being between the privacy fence and pool cage, it made it difficult to impossible to get any machinery to the area. In this instance I ended up just having my landscaper dig up the tree instead. I really appreciated Phil's Tree Service taking the time to come out and meet with me and would call on them again if needed.

Phil's Expert Tree Service did a whole lot for me. He is excellent and very professional. They come in and they do the job and I have no complaints. They responded very quickly and were on time.

We used them over 7 years ago in another home and were very satisfied. That is why we called them again. We were not disappointed. Once again they lived up to our expectations, timely, professional, fair. Couldn't ask for anything else.Very satisfied!

I called them because another company didn't show up. They came the very first day I called them. The estimate was lower than the other company. I accepted and they came in the afternoon with all their equipment and did a fantastic job! I strongly recommend them because they are honest and have the right equipment for small and big jobs!

They were good. I thought that they were very reasonably priced. They did good work. They showed up when they were supposed to and cleaned up well after themselves. So, I was pleased.
