"It is unfortunate to have received this review and we don't believe it is accurate and fair to Petri. Our position is that Ms. [Removed Member Name] was a customer about 2 years ago, from February 2014 through November 2014, at which time we did all we could to try to satisfy our customer. The main complaints were various crabgrass and goosegrass areas and an infected sago palm. Both of these problems are not covered under the service agreement Ms. [Removed Member Name] had with Petri and for good reasons. Petri handles only broadleaf weeds as there are no herbicides sold on the market today that effectively control grassy weeds. Killing the grasses with round up and then replacing with new sod is the only course of action. We tried to make this clear to Ms. [Removed Member Name] but she was still upset that brown areas and spots were left behind once we killed these weeds with Ms. [Removed Member Name] 's consent. Petri's owner emailed Ms. [Removed Member Name] a lengthy email explaining the situation with the grassy weeds. Because our communication at Petri wasn't as effective as it should have been in the beginning of our service we offered to credit Ms. [Removed Member Name] 's account $150, we offered to have our lawn manager inspect the property and take over servicing the account, and we released her from any annual contractual obligation. Petri also made numerous trips to Ms. [Removed Member Name] 's property at no charge for treatment, re-treatment, and inspection. Only 4 payments of $75 were ever made to Petri in the 9 months of service to the property. We re-treated numerous times free of charge and gave Ms. [Removed Member Name] a credit for service on 2 occasions. Petri believes our track record on Angie's List and 60 years of service in South Florida is a strong track record. We cannot satisfy every customer unfortunately. In this case we were presented with revitalizing a lawn that was mostly made up of grassy weeds. We should have communicated that re-sodding should be done prior to beginning our service. However, this F rating does not match with our company's service and what we did to try to make things right with this customer. Very unfair. Sincerely, Chris Cavanagh - Vice President"
