Lindstrom Air Conditioning & Plumbing

I normally only have by preventive air conditioning unit service once a year in the spring. This fall, servicing was at no charge to make up for a very bad experience I had with Lindstrom last spring (see my previous Angie's List posting). This normal servicing went very well with no problems found. The technician arrived a little late but was very efficient and professional. He checked the inside and outside units and cleared the drain. He reported that all was well and that no work was needed. The work areas were cleaned up properly (air handler re-taped) and the unit is still running three weeks later. Although I am leaning toward not using them again, I have not yet made that final decision. It can wait until early spring. The free servicing was a nice gesture by the service manager. However, trust and confidence take time to rebuild.

Sorry this review is late. In May we met Frank Palmero, plumbing manager at Lindstrom. We inquired about purchasing a new water heater. He answered all our questions, and the very next day our water heater was installed by Robert and Matt. While installing it they came across a serious problem we did not know we had, and they repaired it without additional cost. We were very satisfied with the service we received and we highly recommend them!

We hired Lindstrom to replace our HVAC system 5 months ago. Then unit installed was a Trane system, the same as we had before for 13 years. To our surprise after 4 months the unit was not cooling properly. We called Lindstrom during the weekend of 9/17/17 and scheduled a technician for 9/21. The technician came in the afternoon of that day, but could not resolve the cause of the problem, told us that the company had to send someone else to diagnose the problem. That is an emergency call, and there is not a specific time frame for his arrival (we would get a call when the technician was on his way - absurd if you consider i had a call scheduled 4 days ahead). This specialist arrived at 8PM!! - and could not resolve it either because a valve needed to be replaced - not in stock. Now we had to wait for that part to arrive and the next appointment was scheduled for 9/26 to replace it. On 9/26 the coil was frozen, and we had to wait for it to defrost it - now the coil might have suffered damage according to the 3rd technician. The AC has worked fine for the last 10days, but today on my arrival at home around 5PM I noticed it was completely off. After checking it I noticed that the float switch was full of water , which caused it to shut off the unit. How did the condensing line get clogged in two weeks? We called Lindstrom to get someone hereASAP, they told me they would send the “emergency”technician again - the one that does not have a time for arrival. We are still waiting for Lindstrom to call us informing us. It is absurd that a brand new unit requires so much maintenance this quick. We had the old unit for 13 years (also a Trane) and had a maintenance schedule of cleaning it twice a year. It absurd that the same line is now getting clogged. It is absurd that a brand new unit has so many problems.

Excellent. Went for the 5 stage at higher cost but has done a much better job at keeping humidity low here in FL. I expected Lindstrom to be highest cost bid of the 2 reputable companies I requested quotes from but they were $800 less.

My elderly father recently bought a home to retire in, in Port St Lucie FL. He called me and said he had sewage backing up into his shower. He does not know how to use the internet and needed my help finding a plumber. We searched Angie's List for his zipcode and contacted Lindstrom since they were the top result. They had someone at his home several hours later, which is good. The guy tried to snake his drain then told him something along the lines of "I think maybe you have a septic tank that needs to be drained". He charged $125.00 for a trip charge and $100 to run a snake through a drain that wasn't even clogged. I feel like they took advantage of an elderly man that didn't know any better. They also neglected to mention that they were located in Fort Lauderdale and would charge $125 just to get to his house, which obviously we would've went with a local company then. The company should disclose that sort of information before arriving and then charging a high price $225 for an assessment and no work.

We pay $170 a year for two services.

WORST WORST WORST WORST customer service experience I have had with any service related company. They lie, take your money, then waste your time just long enough to make sure the check has cleared before they say they will only do repairs on a unit they installed. If you want integrity & honesty in your service provider, try anther provider on Angie's List. Shame on you Lindstrom for such lousy & duplicitous treatment of your customers!!!

Repair successfully completed, very professional, very courteous. Lindstrom's personnel has a mandate we believe to try to upsell services to customers - we are on a maintenance contract with them. This can be bothersome but we have learned to listen and learn and usually say no. They do not do a hard sell so if you say no they get it. We recently sold our home and were happy that at one point we had the UV lights installed for the AC units and in working order -- per the Lindstrom suggestion. The new homeowner was happy with that.

Pat arrived within an hour of me calling dispatch, quoted the price with a fifteen dollar $15 discount for Angie's List and had the work competed within another hour. Completely professional, very courteous and a warm smile. Thank you Patrick Gado

We had an emergency call for our toilets in September 2016. Avnet came out and cleared up the problem. We signed up for the yearly contract at that time. Since then we have had two more calls, which were then promptly taken care of by Marvin. Both gentlemen showed up on time & were very professional. We have an old home. So happy with Lindstrom plumbing services.

Went well. Have used Lindstrom for many years

They did a good job, especially the installers, (Wend Pierre) they stayed until late at night making sure everything was done properly. He noticed a minor problem with the electrical and brought it to my attention and reported it so they could return to fix it. They also quick to install the following day. They only reason I gave them a B for professionalism was because I told the salesman Joe that I wanted the outside unit installed on the side of my house, not in the back yard where the old one was, so I would not have to hear the noise. He told me it was not possible, because it required certain distance form the house. But I found out later, that it was possible. In fact, its where my neighbor relocated her unit. I'm disappointed bec it would have been a simple change and would have provided me more quiet.

They are professional. They take accountability. If you have any problems they’ll come out and make it right.

The technician determined that a circuit board was bad and that he would have to order the part. Later in the day, Lindstrom called me, told me that they had the part and the technician would b there the following morning. He arrived at 8:15 on Saturday morning. Installed the part and the unit ran perfectly.

I have been using them for six years now.

They took out the old one and kept the area clean.

I signed a contract to maintain the air conditioner and heater that we have with them. I signed up for a year's maintenance for $150.00 per year. On responsiveness, an A they were right there. On punctuality an A, he was there on time. On professionalism, an A; he was very professional.

everything was completed - everything works Robin was polite, professional. Was happy with the work.

I have a warranty with them and they came and did maintenance on unit and I use them yearly.

I had a previous air conditioning and repair person out here 3x for the same thing. He could not get the job done, and told me I needed a new air conditioner. That did not seem like a reasonable remedy or response. Then he told me it was my air filters, UGH!! The young guy from Lindstrom came in and told me exactly what was wrong and how he could permanently remedy the problem. That appears to be exactly what he did. Nice guys great service. Got the job done. My only issue was time. The first time they came out to assess the problem they were very prompt. The second time they came out, they told me they would be at my house between 8-9; they did not arrive until after 10 and did not call. Thankfully I had a friend come over and wait until they arrived and finished because I had to work. Having said that, I would not hesitate to hire them again. They did a very good job and I am pleased.

I gave a bad review over the weekend first thing this morning they sent some one out to check my unit and yes it was the coil for third time and it was changed with no cost to me the women I dealt with today very nice . The coil was going to be installed on Thursday morning but she called and had the part in the office so it was done today thank you for that I do understand that the coil is made by Rheem and not Lindstrom air but it is still ****** me off how many times this coil has been changed in a three yr old unit Rheem makes cheap parts.
