Description of Work: We brought in a 3 yr old TV for repair. It was working but the picture quality had issues. The owner, who was very polite, told me over the phone to bring it in for a free repair estimate. When we brought it in he said he would call in 2 hrs but he never called. That was Saturday. On Monday we called him and he said the defect was in the picture tube and more to repair than to buy new so we opted not to invest in repairs. My B rating is due to not responding as promised. I can't vouch for quality of work.

 + -1 moreI took the TV to the shop at 2 PM. ( husband and wife shop ) The husband was on a call and his wife helped me with the TV. She promised it would be fixed that day. She called at 4:30 and said it was done. They showed me the TV was working and showed me the bad PC board.I feel the price was very fair considering the size of the board and the quick turnaround.

 + -1 moreOverall an OK experience - very punctual, within 10 minutes of appointment times, and the TV works fine now. It's a small mom-and-pop company. I didn't ask, but I believe the tech I worked with is the owner. He has a strong eastern European accent and not-100%-fluent English, which made communication difficult. I'm an engineer so I was looking forward to having a conversation about the problem and the possible fixes -- that's how I get comfortable with a company. But the language thing prevented that. The oddest thing was the fact that I had to help him carry my 60and quot; rear projection TV out to his van, where we placed it face-down on a (clean-looking) oriental rug. Older customers or women may want to ask about that before making an appointment. When he returned the TV on Monday, he came with a middle-aged woman; I have no idea who might have helped him move the TV at his shop, but it may have been her. The TV is very heavy, so if she's his assistant it may explain the scratches (which I didn't notice until after he left). If it weren't for the scratches and the apparent lack of manpower, I'd give him another shot, since everything else went fine (except for the communication).
Description of Work: My large-screen Sony TV stopped turning on. Internet research suggested it was just a fan or other minor electronics problem. Based on reviews here I decided to give this company a shot. The tech took the lamp to his shop and tested it, but that wasn't the problem. So then he returned and took my TV to his shop, and returned it in working order after the weekend. The ballast for the power supply needed to be replaced. Unfortunately there are a couple of new faint scratches on the glossy front bezel; I don't think he has the manpower to safely move something that large.

Description of Work: My 3 year old Samsung tv stopped working. I called Coral Video & Audio. They came to my house one hour after making the call, they took the tv and they brought it back 24 hours later. Apparently the power supply to the tv blew and needed to be replaced. I thought the price was fair and they were very nice and very quick! I rate them an A+++!
