Poor Communication, Unfinished Work, and Expired Permit I hired Guardian Impact Windows & Roofing in April 2024 to install windows and doors. Nearly a year later, the job remains incomplete, and the permit (BPQ-2024-01147) expired in November 2024. Despite repeated outreach and a formal Chapter 558 Notice of Claim, Guardian stopped all scheduled work and has not responded to direct and simple requests?most notably, what needs to be done to close the permit. Their communication is nearly nonexistent, and the project has been plagued with issues: incorrect door installation, and quality concerns identified by the manufacturer (CWS) during a September 2024 inspection. While Guardian stated they would order a replacement French door and needed parts, nothing has been resolved. I?ve made it clear that my only goal is to complete the work so the project can pass inspection. Instead, I?m left with unfinished work, a lapsed permit, and a stalled home sale.
