We had a zone in our system that wasn't working and it had to be by-passed so we could set the alarm. I contacted Tampa Bay Security and spoke with Bill Orendorf. We agreed on a day and time for a service call and Bill showed up right on time. Within 10 minutes he pin pointed the problem and corrected it. I can't say enough about how courteous and professional Bill was. He knows what he's doing and he was respectful of our home and our time. Many times businesses don't want to be bothered with jobs this small. Not the case with Tampa Bay Security. The cost of repair was a fraction of what ADT quoted me just to show up at our door.

This guy is very good at what he does and charges a fair price. he setup monitoring for me through a local company for $20 a month, 1 year contract. If I had signed up with Brinks, they wanted $35 a month for 3 years. This is better because if I decide not to renew my monitoring next year, its my system so all the doors and windows and keypad will still work (unlike brinks). He went over the system after installing it and even made a change to a zone at my wifes request after packing up his equipment. I would highly recommend him to anyone.

Bill serviced our alarm system a year and a half ago... He had done a GREAT job for us then, but we hadn't talked to him or needed his services since that time. We were having trouble with what we thought was our alarm system when we arrived home this evening and called up Bill. Saturday night at 8pm!! First off, Bill answered his phone at 8pm on a Saturday night and was happy to walk me through some stuff over the phone. Turned out it wasn't our alarm system at all (home ownership for dummies....we need THAT book), but Bill continued to be very helpful and assisted us with a situation that had nothing to do with our alarm! If you are looking for a quality security system installed by a professional with an eye for detail and great customer service skills, call Bill at Tampa Bay Security, Inc. You can shop around all you want but you can save a lot of time by taking my advice and just call Bill. I do not believe you will find a better deal and security equipment with 24 hour monitoring than what William Orendore (Bill) can provide. To all it may concern. Our home was burglarized and within an hour and a half; the perpetrators went though everything in our home. On that day we lost our privacy and security. It traumatized my wife and she didn't want to stay in our home. As a result, I began looking for a security company to monitor our home. After several quotes and discussions over the phone we selected Tampa Bay Security, Inc. based on the sincerity and patience of William Orendore (Bill). He was the only vendor who took the time to look at our home before giving us a quote for everything we needed to protect our home, nothing more and nothing less. Bill didn't use high pressure tactics or tricks to sell us items or features we didn't need. In fact he actuall explained why some features we wanted were redundant and unnecessary and expressed this in simple terms for our understanding. When we gave Bill the go ahead to install the system, he installed it in one day testing each component as he installed it. When he finished, he returned all funiture to its previous location and cleaned all areas of work. Prior to leaving Bill gave us a complete overview of the system again and explained its operation in detail. We are more than satisfied with the system, installation and his customer service skills. As I stated above, we would strongly recommend Tampa Bay Security, Inc. to anyone needing a home security system. Take my advice and JUST CALL BILL.

Job well done. Bill did an excellent job in installing the alarm system as we agreed upon. He was punctual, courteous, professional and efficient. Since some of the equipment (panels) were new models he made sure to check with "Support" for proper operations. I don't know too much about alarms and Bill was very patient in explaning the process and answering all the questions I had. He stayed as long as necessary to make sure the system was working properly. I'll recommend Bill to anyone needing an alarm system installed.

Bill of Tampa Bay Security was able to detect and repair a problem that ADT couldn't after 4 service calls, needless replacement of devices and needless expenses. It took nearly 3 years for ADT to correct the problem and they still couldn't. He, then at my request, changed my ADT system over. I am grateful for his knowledge, professionalism, and eye for detail. I will recommend Bill and Tampa Bay Security to any one who is unhappy with their current Security System.

Bill is straight forward and honest. Very reasonable pricing. Will not try to gouge you even if you dont know anything about the system. Charged me for 4 hours but was at site over 8-9 hours. Very professional work.

Bill installed the total security system with integrated smoke detector and set up and tested the monitoring service.

Normally I wait a few days before submitting a review, but in this case the work was so stellar I had to write a review upon completion. Our only regret in this entire process that we had not found Bill sooner. It was so nice to deal with someone who was so professional in every aspect. When we first met with Bill to discuss our options he arrived exactly on time and spent nearly 2 hours with us discussing all our concerns. What was so nice is that he does not push products on you. He was able to use our exisiting wiring, motion sensors and smoke detectors. After receiving the estimate, later in the evening, we set up the installation for the following week. Once again, he arrived exactly on time and work consistently for over 6 hours. Towards the end of the installation it was brought to our attention that our current smoke detectors would not work with the new system, as he had thought, so we had them changed. Luckily he had one in his car and asked if he could return the next day and complete the installation. However, before leaving he answered every single question we had (which bless his heart was a lot). He did not rush (even though he had a very long drive home after a very long day) but explained everything to us. Not only is his work ethic spectacular but he was so clean you would have never known he was here. As noted from the previous day, Bill arrived when he said he would and installed our remaining smoke detector. And once again answered every single question we had in addition to running another test. Not only are we so pleased with everything Bill has done for us, we are impressed with the monitoring company. He also installed our system so that if we want to add to it in the future it is ready to go.
We can not thank Bill enough for everything he has done. Not only would we use him again, but would recommend him to everyone.

Bill was quick to respond to my initial phone call inquiring about his services. He scheduled an appointment to come out and survey what was needed and was right on time. He was professional and courteous and explained everything as he went along. We selected Bill because he had many previous excellent ratings on Angie's list and he lived up to every one of them. When he came to install, he was right on time, worked diligently and made sure we understood everything before he left, with the offer to call him if we had any questions at all. I highly recommend Bill. The system is great and simple to use. We had a great night's sleep the first night after installation not having to worry about listening for intruders.

I've done business with Bill on several occasions now and each instance has been a success. Bill charges a fair rate and is very dependable, prompt, professional and knowledgable. Tampa Bay Security provides a personalized service by someone very knowledgeable and experienced in the business. My decision was based on pay up front or pay later. I compared and talked to several other companies that offered a great introductory installation rate with a $99 or $149 package. The trade-off is that you either install yourself or they provide installation but you must sign a 3 year monitoring contract which was at least double the monthly cost of the monitoring service provided through Tampa Bay (who also uses a local monitoring company). My house had existing wiring, Bill came out and explained my options to either just simply convert the existing system over to his monitoring or choose certain upgrades/replacements using Honeywell products. I chose to replace the keypad of the current system and add an additional keypad in another area of the house along with replacing one door motion detector. Bill tested the system thoroughly spending several hours at the house. He took great care to explain the functionality of the new keypads and ensure I was familiar with their use. I highly recommend using someone very experienced in home security and would absolutely use Tampa Bay Security for any future needs.

I could not be more pleased by this alarm system and Bill Orendorf who installed it; he is obviously an old pro, with many years of experience, and a very pleasant person. I also find Tampa Bay Security, Inc. very professional, for a reasonable monthly fee. I unfortunately triggered the alarm system by mistake in the beginning and each time, I got an immediate phone call from TBS to enquire what was going on. I even got a visit from the Sarasota police to enquire, because I had not answered TBS phone call fast enough. This alone was very impressive and reassuring. I also changed a window in my house a few days ago and needed the sensor to be reinstalled. I called Bill and he was at my house two days later; he came all the way from Tampa on a Saturday morning and fixed the problem so I could be in a safe home again as soon as possible. Thank you, Bill, and thank you, TBS, for your good service record. I sure will keep you in file for my future needs. YDM

Bill arrived exactly at the time he promised. He is a methodical worker, he brought in his tools and equipment, placed them all in one area of the house and proceeded to work in a clockwise manner on the windows on the first floor. He was precise in his work; he did not appear to waste either time or supplies; he was so quiet we sometimes forgot he was in the house. He would carefully rewire the windows, place the contacts exactly where they needed to be and test each window. He worked around the miniblinds, he placed the wires in as inconspicuous places as he could, he neatly spread caulk on the wires to adhere them to the walls around the windows.
He then repeated the whole process on the upstairs windows. Many of those windows are double hung, so he had to string twice as much wire, but that did not seem to slow him down much.
We don't think Bill took any breaks during his work day except to eat his lunch which he brought with him. He willingly answered any questions we had, he cleaned up each area as he moved from window to window, he was confident in his work. He wanted to make the wiring as tidy and as hidden as he could, he was concerned about the appearance of the windows which we appreciated.
Bill made the job of repairing our alarm system an overall pleasant experience for us. We will not hesitate to call him if we need his services again.
