It went every well and was done extremely fast. I was very please with their work and kindness since I had to sleep through this process. They cleaned up and were gone while I still slept. The roof is GREAT!!!!!

Contacted for a quotation, quote provided, was competitive and their advice matched my belief on how job should be done. All my questions were answered in writing so there was a clear understanding of the job to be done. They called to schedule all the work and started ahead of the original estimate of start date, The crew was very polite, efficient and experienced. They cleaned up the work site every day when they were ready to leave and advised us through out the job. The job was completed without issue and the price was as agreed. We are very pleased with the outcome and are now using Art Construction to remodel a bathroom.

The owner of Art Construction is David Bowers who has extensive knowledge of your roof and everything under it. I believe I was told by one of his crew members that he has 4 different licenses for building homes which is very reassuring. Although you will only see David during your negotiation period I will guarantee you will not be disappointed with the work performed by his hired team. For the quality of their work let me start off by saying that the service they provide is nothing short of "phenomenal" and each and every team member shows pride in their work and courtesy to the home owner. I had a ?Standing Seam? roof (color DREXEL Regal White) installed and it looks fantastic. A main concern for me is that I wanted a color that had a high reflectivity rating which will lower your cooling bill in the summer. I originally was going with Bone White to meet that criteria, but once I saw the how glossy the Regal White was on a house he roofed I knew there was no other color for me. Although David will provide you with a roof color chart, nothing gives you a better perspective than driving to a house that has the color you want installed. During the negotiation period I asked David to provide me a list of houses that he had roofed in my area. He told me he would have his secretary Linda email me the list and later that evening I had a list with over 80 addresses of places where he had installed metal and shingle roofs. During my travels I made sure that the work he stated he completed was actually accomplished by his company. I did this by knocking on the doors and confirming who performed the work. Let me state that each and every owner remembered David and wanted to give me a personal tour of the work that was done. These owners loved their new metal roofs were PROUD to show me their homes and were excited to do so. They told me the metal roofs installed by Art Construction has an ENERY STAR rating and that Gulf Power electric company will give you a $400 check for having one of his metal roofs. So Gulf power not only pays me to own a metal roof, but my electrical bill will lower in the summer due the reflectivity of the roof. One of David customers told me his bill was about $50 a month lower compared to the previous summer before installing his ?Exposed Fastener? metal roof. So, now onto my house: Everything the other home owners raved about David?s crew transpired at my house. The team is courteous and lets you ask questions and will do whatever it takes to make you feel you are getting a quality product. One thing that I did that is out of the norm is that I asked for the complete removal of shingles and felt paper to see condition of sheet wood below. I did this so that I would have a peace of mind knowing that none of the wood was rotting below and I was quoted a fair price for the removal. On my house there were areas that seemed less than sturdy in the valleys of my roof and at my request they added an additional 2X4 under the plywood to ensure the roof integrity during a hurricane. Later on, in the other corner of my roof with similar problems they added an additional 2 foot 2X4 brace without asking me, because they were adapting to my thought process what made me comfortable and would give me a peace of mind. Although they are the ones doing the work I was out there with them through the whole process and let me say that do not compromise the integrity of your roof in anyway. I had them remove my skylights, because I was tired of fixing leaks with them every 5 years and they boarded them up and put the metal roofing over it. David then had a separate crew that works the interior of the house put up drywall on the ceiling where the skylights were and then matched the stipple texture of the ceiling just perfect. My friends can?t believe there were ever skylights in my house. I also had David?s roofing crew replace some of the eaves that were starting to rot and Steve did a superb job! I never knew you used caulk to make the wood seamless and it looks great. They also put up gutter that look way better than the Home Depot ones I installed 10 years ago. Now instead of having several 10 foot pieces of gutter in my back yard I have one continual piece of gloss white aluminum that will never rust and it looks great and matches my roof. The price of the metal roof changes with whether or not you get Standing Seam or Exposed Fasteners. Standing Seam added about $6,000 to my house, but to me it looks cleaner and gives me a peace of mind. David will let you know he completely stands by his Exposed Fastener roofs and you have a 5 year guarantee against leaks on either roof. You will need to research to see which you want, but honestly I don?t think you can go wrong with either one. Type of metal (steel or aluminum) and color can change the price you pay also, but would recommend checking it online. If you get the galvaluminum it costs about $600 less than the painted, but the warranty is not as good. Mine has a 35 year warranty for the paint on the metal panels. Talk with David on this and he will help you with the decision making process. Thanks David for the awesome roof!! 2/19/2013 The reason for requiring the roof repair was that St. Johns Insurance was going to cancel my policy if I did not replace my raggedy roof that was about 10 years old. I was checking into other insurance companies and applying the Wind Mitigation paperwork that David will give you get because of your new and improved roof that will get additional nails in all the trusses and some other things Well I searched other insurance companies and l the prices were lower then what I paid last year at St. Johns, one even quoted me $1,200 which made me pretty happy. Well I got my renewal from St. Johns and my jaw about dropped through the floor. Last year my Premium was $1721 for $180,000 worth of home insurance and this years Premium is $976 for the same $180,000. It is incredibly nice and my premiums have not not been that low since 2004 or 5 for that amount of insurance. Also, the person that does my taxes says I can claim the roof. In an email he sent me he said "The IRS uses the phrase "the roof meets or exceeds the Energy Star program requirements in effect at the time of purchase or installation". Since your roof is energy Star then it qualifies for a credit. I will just need the cost. A copy of your paper work from the installer will do". I am not sure how that will pan out, but sound promising. Dave, The roof still looks great, doesn't leak, and almost two months later it still makes me happy every time I drive up the driveway and see how awesome it looks. Tell Steve he was an awesome foreman/worker and my roof would not look as good as it does without him. I really want to thank everyone for a terrific job!

Owner was very available to speak with our board of directors and got the job done in a timely and beautiful manner. Every question asked was answered and the price was very reasonable.

From they time they came and gave me the estimate until the completion date everything went well. They were professional and did a great job. Outstanding service from start to finish ! Response was immediate upon my initial inquiry. David Bowers took the time to answer every question. Having had a bad experience with the previous roofing company, I was very slow to make a decision. I scoured the internet for information (some of which was conflicting) and talked to friends and neighbors. All of this brought more questions....and more questions. David came to the house at least 4 times, and spent time on the phone as well, in order to answer every question I had.He provided an extensive list of customers with addresses as well as roof colors so I could see a finished product and talk to anyone I cared to. He never rushed our meetings and seemed happy to explain every nuance of the business. I was impressed with his knowledge and patience as well as the fact that I could not find a single complaint anywhere ! I think the attitude of most business owners trickles down to the people in the field, and generally a good boss/owner equals great employees. This was certainly true with Art Construction. The men who removed the old roof and those that applied the new were more then hard working. They obviously cared about doing a quality job, they seldom even took a break, they were willing to answer any questions I had, they cleaned up after themselves and last but not least, they were all gentlemen. Every one, from David Bowers, his office staff and the men in the field obviously had the same goal...a happy customer. They did more then the contract called for in several ways. They removed and disposed of a very old antenna as well as a few other things and put a new roof on our "wishing well" so it matched the house. How many people do you know in any trade that do MORE then they are asked/required to do without adding an additional charge ?? Art Construction does so much more then roofing. It is comforting to know that I have great professionals I can depend on in the future. I expect to replace my 1971 windows in the near future and add appropriate hurricane shutters. The only place I will call is Art Construction !!

We read his reviews on angies list. Three men got here while we were at work, by the time we got in part of the roof was off and the new one was going on. They were finished in 5 days It was brutally hot while they were roofing, but they came early every day and stayed till 7 at night. I do not know how they could stand the opressive heat but they did,

First contacted Mr. David Bowers after contacting my insurance company. David promptly responded and came to our home to estimate the cost to replace roof and minor water damage inside our home! We had other estimates done, but Art Construction was our choice even others were cheaper. We had a good feeling about Art Construction so we chose them! We were not disappointed, they did everything promised and more. It took about three weeks before they started our roof! After they started it took seven days to complete. All and all the roof looks great. Will recommend them to family and friends!

My wife contacted several contractors and David Bowers Art Construction was the best price, the most responsive and they came highly recommended. I signed the contract and paid half down at their office. They scheduled me in about three weeks after I signed the contract. The week before they came out to the house they called to provide details of when we could expect the team to show up at our house and to make recommendations like taking pictures off of the wall and parking any cars out of the way to avoid the risk of them being struck by any stray debris. They also requested that I unlock the back gate so they could have access to the back of the house. I left for work that morning and when I got home in the afternoon there were workers all over the house and after a quick greeting I went into the house. There was a few more hours of hammering and compressors then before I new it the noise and the workers dissappeared and my roof was complete. Today David Bowers came to do a final inspection and after the work was done and the we had gone over the final details and paper work we paid the last half of the price for the new roof. It was an excellent experience.

The first day they stripped the roof and left absolutely no debri around the house. They were extremely neat. We got a couple of quotes and Art Construction was the best one. They did an excellent job and finished within 4 days. The workers were very courteous and friendly and gave us excellent service. We are now awaiting another estimate from them on additional work on our home. We are very confident that it will be within range and that their service will be superb. We will certainly recommend them to anyone we know.

My experience has been outstanding from initial bid to completion. I received five quotes from local roofing contractors and Art Construction's price was the most competitive. The bid and subsequent adjustments for my requested changes were completed promptly. The work began very shortly after I signed the contract. Everyone was very pleasant and responsive to my needs, including the owner, the office, and the roofers on site. They were respectul to my family and my property. All of the roofers on site answered my many questions as the job progressed. The worksite was kept clean both during and after construction. It started raining during some days. They got on my roof in the midst of heavy downpours to tarp it to make sure it didn't leak during the changeover. Both before and after, the owner worked with my insurance company to meet all of their requirements. I was given forms to receive an energy credit from the power company. My new roof looks beautiful and is well built. I have absolutely no complaints and would highly recommend Art Construction to anyone needing a new roof or any other construction.

I received a letter from my insurance company that I was going to be cancelled in a few months because my roof would reach a certain age and I would be cancelled. The 1st company that was contacted was Art Construction of NWFL, LLC. David answered all of my questions, provided me with detailed quotes for both shingle and metal roof materials. I was really surprised to find that metal roofing wasnt that much more costly than shingle so I made the decision to go with the metal roof. I contacted other local roofing companies for additional quotes for comparison to make sure that I was getting the best deal that I could get. Some companies never even called me back, others didn't even show up for the estimate when they said they would. Of the quotes I did receive Art Construction of NWFL, LLC beat them all by $$Thousands$$. After signing on with Art Construction of NWFL, LLC, David came back out and talked with me further making sure that I understood what would happen and when after I selected my roof color. Making that decision took the longest of everything in this entire process! David was there again to provide me color swatches to help me decide and he also gave me his honest opinion about some color choice I was considering. The roofers that showed up were very professional and meticulous about their work. I was really, really pleased. My roof looks FANTASTIC! It took less than a day and 1/2 to get it complete! I would recommend Art Construction of NWFL, LLC again to anyone that asks and I would use them again if I ever have a need to do so.

I decided that it was time to have my roof replaced and after doing a little research decided that I wanted a metal roof that was energy efficient. About 4 years ago I applied to MY SAFE FLORIDA HOME for an Inspection prior to applying for a grant that was offered to help homeowners strengthen their homes against natural disaster. They ran out of money for the grants but I did get a free inspection. The Inspection recommended that I make a number of improvements to strengthen my roof by 1) Improving the strength of the deck attachment, 2) creating a secondary water barrier to prevent water intrusion, 3) Upgrade roof covering. As time went by it became obvious that I need to replace the roof as well as repairing an area where it was leaking. There are a number of Pine trees around my house and the pine straw got up under the shingles and it would lift them up enough that it would leak. I had to have someone clean the one area ever time the pine straw started to build up to keep it from leaking. I decided that I needed to do something since I got tired of having my roof leak until I could find someone to go up on my roof and clean off the pine straw. I dug out the Inspection Report and started to do a little research on roofs. I had more or less decided on a metal roof so I started looking for a few companies that did metal roofs and contacted them to find out how much they wanted to do the metal roof with the secondary water barrier and strengthen the roof deck attachment. After I met with several people, I got estimates from them and then check with some of the people that had work done by Art Construction of NW FL, LLC. I was impressed with Mr Bowers and the fact that he seemed to know more about Energy Star metal roofs. Some of the people I contacted didn't seem to know what I was talking about. So, after getting positive responses from several people including a neighbor, I decided to use Art Construction of NW FL. The crew tore off the old roof and replaced it with a new metal roof. It looks nice and so far it has done a good job of keeping the rain out. I thought that it might have a hurricane to christen it but fortunately it passed us by providing only some strong wind and rain.

Very knowledgeable and gave answers in layman terms, so that I knew exactly what he was speaking of. Was told work would start in 2 to 3 weeks. Fortunately, didn't have to wait anywhere near that long, since I had developed a couple of leaks. Crew was very efficient, personable, and professional. Did a great job installing roof as well as cleanup. Also, gladly answered any questions I had, Will highly recommend Art's Construction to any of my friends,acquaintances, and strangers. Had gotten a few other estimates. Art's wasn't the least expensive and definitely not the most expensive. I felt after speaking with David and Jeff, Art's would do a much better job, no matter what the cost. Being a member of the BBB also influenced my decision. Thank you very for a job well done! Over a year ago I contacted Art Construstion for a bid on installing a new roof on our home. When we were finaly ready to have the roof work done, the company was more than happy to give us an updated bid with several options to choose from. They were always happy to answer my questions and share their professional thoughts without pushing a decision. We were lucky that though the old shingle roof had reached it's maturity, it was basically in decent shape. We were able to have the new metal roof installed over the shingles.This saved us unneccesary costs which is important in these finanical times. From the time the crew arrived to the time they completed the job they were very understanding and helpful regarding my elderly father and his often repeated questions. The job itself was done quickly like a well oiled machine. As the work was done a member of the team was constantly cleaning up. With completion of the roof, we were contacted by Art Construction so addional paperwork for our insurance company could be done which will likely reduce our policy cost. Also documentation for the local power company was brought to us so we could complete forms for energy incentives available in our area. To me, those were extra steps provided to make the entir process from A to Z both easy and a pleasure.

Daniel and Cody arrived early on the scheduled date and quickly set up equipment, including safety harnesses to allow work on the extremely pitched roof. Daniel stripped the old shingles and replaced them with new. He did an excellent job of incorporating the new shingles with the old, and matched the color well. Both workers were polite and efficient. I was very satisfied with the work performed.

I contacted several other contractors to have my roof replaced. I couldn't decide on shingle or metal. I decided to go with Art Construction to have a metal roof installed. They started and arrived as schedule, and finished the job quickly. The old roof shingles were removed. Additional work was needed to repair some leaks. They called before making any repairs so I would be informed of any additional cost. I had excellent communication with David Bowers and his crew. They kept me inform of what was going on. I received several emails and phone calls to make sure everything was as I liked. They were very professional and competent. David's knowledge and expertise made me confident with using this company. I am very pleased with the job they did on my house. I would definitely use them again and recommend them to anyone. It was a good experience,

I would highly recommend this company. The owner, David Bowers, is great! He was very reasonable on his prices. His bid was the same as another bid I received for the same work, and David did more work on my house than was specified. He gave me two reports, one specifically for my insurance company, for free. He stuck to his original bid. I cannot say enough good things about him and his company.
