"Mr [Member Name Removed], I read your review on Angie's List. I thought I might respond to your post. Are you aware that my installer was on the clock from the time he arrived at your condo? Prior to starting the job, your significant other told him that she had a 3:00 appointment and that he would have to leave before 3:00. This was at the start of the job and it is always an estimate as to how long the installation will take. She questioned him 5-6 times "Are you going to make it?" and "Are you done". I can appreciate that this was a problem for her, but in the same sense it did not give my installer adequate time to finish the job correctly and/or to clean up. He was rushing to finish the arch work when she told him it was time to leave. Are you aware of this? The condo is obviously being remodeled and is in a state of disrepair. Your significant other apologized to my installer for the disorganization of the furnishings and that there was much material in his way and that "The project had been ongoing for a year." She mentioned she was sorry that the furniture had not been moved. It is my understanding that the only piece of furniture my installer moved was the leather sofa downstairs. In his haste to leave he did not put it back in place. In addition, he was working in your garage because it was pouring rain outside. He asked your significant other if she wanted him to clean up sawdust and other materials and she told him not to worry about it, that he had to leave. In the garage, prior to our arrival, there were tools everywhere including rags, water buckets, joint compound etc. My installer certainly could have been at fault for the things you mention, but without adequate time to clean and pack he even left tools at your residence. We did offer to come back and do whatever was necessary to clean or repair whether or not it was our responsibility. We are not the only people who have been in the condo. Even if there was something we could not identify as our fault, I would always err on the side of doing whatever it takes to make our customer(s) happy.. My installer and this company have been installing shutters for over 25 years. If you look on Angie's List or if you check with the Better Business Bureau you will find that we have a blemish-free record. Since you were not present at the time of the installation and given circumstances of which you might not be aware, I would appreciate if you would ask yourself whether or not we deserve the review you gave us and please contact us if there is any remaining work to be done. Thank you. Best regards, Mike Cheney"
"Thank you [member name removed]. We truly appreciate your kind words. We believe it is just as easy to do things right the first time, but occasionally something will need adjusting or fixing. We believe it is just as important, if not more important, to respond to customers after the sale. Our reputation is our most valuable asset. Please feel free to contact us anytime."
