ad mentioned in the initial conversation with the sales personWe went to Community TV to purchase a 55 inch TV and to have this TV installed in a new wall unit in our home. We explained to the sales person that we have a whole house BOSE music system and the installation of the TV would be complicated. The components of the BOSE would have to be disconnected in order for the new wall unit to be installed. In addition to the TV installation, the BOSE components would have to be reconnected. We paid for the TV and a $250 fee for installtion. I must note here that the TV we purchased was generally available for $300-$400 less at Best Buy, COSTCO and SEARS but we felt that it was worth the extra cost for a quality installation experience. Also the sales person told us that Costco and Best Buy sell inferior products to those they sell in their store. We had our wall unit installed and it was clear to me that the Community TV installation was going to be complicated, as I had told the salesperson when we purchased the TV. I phoned Community TV and asked them if it was better if I contacted BOSE because they might have a better understanding of reconnecting the system. They assured me that the installation would be no problem. The Installer was supposed to arrive between 1 and 3 pm. He finally arrived at 3:45. He looked at the BOSE components which were placed in front of the new wall unit and said that he had no work order for this type of installation. He was there to install the TV and that was it. It is very important to note that although he was there to install the TV, he did not bring the TV with him. He said he had to go back to Community TV (30 minutes) to pick it up. When he arrived back at my home, it was close to 5 pm. He told my husband that it would be 3-4 hours of time and that the installation fee would not cover the BOSE reconnections. My husband phoned Community TV and was told that it would be an additional $80 per hour for the BOSE work and they had no record of any conversation about a reinstallation of the BOSE music system. My husband would not agree to an open ended charge ticket at $80 an hour. We sent the installer away with the TV still in its box. We promptly phoned American Express to file a dispute with the vendor. We phoned BOSE about this and they will come to reconnect the components. We purchased the same TV at Costco at $400 less. We feel we were entirely misled by a salesperson eager to make a quick sale. Had the salesperson suggested to us that he investigate the issue prior to pricing the installation and sending someone out to install, perhaps this could have been avoided.

The company came here to diagnose the problem (which turned out to be correct). Made a second trip without charge to pick up the TV because I was having guests and didn't want a big hole in the living room. Picked up late Tuesday and returned the set Friday morning. Hooked it up to perform better, as to speakers, than before. The price was very close to what was estimated. The technicians were polite, professional, and quick.
