AFFORDABLE APPLIANCE SERVICE

Jeff responded to my voice mail within 2 hours.  He made an appointment to come out within 48 hours.  He brought the part needed.  He was on time.  He made the repair in 20 minutes.  He charged us the estimate provided over the phone.  He gave advice on what I needed to do so the dryer heating element would last longer.  He made the whole process easy.

Fixed the problem left behind by another vendor. To say we were completely satisfied would be an understatement. We will only use Affordable Appliance at this location in the future.

After reading the reviews, I texted Jeff late on Saturday and got an immediate response. I then put him in touch with my tenant. Unable to get them together, my husband went to the property where Jeff performed all the necessary repairs in under an hour and was even able to help my husband diagnose an AC leak from an upstairs unit. Although I haven't met Jeff personally I feel confident in his skills and will use him again. Thank you.

On Saturday, we noticed items in the freezer were not as frozen as they should be. Thought we had maybe left the door open, but checking again a few hours later found that not to be the case. The refrigerator side was still cool, but gradually became warmer. On Sunday afternoon, I called Affordable Appliance Service and left a message, expecting to receive a call back Monday AM. Jeff called back at 7pm Sunday and said he could be here between 9:00-9:30 Monday morning. He phoned at 8:15am Monday and said he was on his way, arriving at about 8:30am. Within 15 minutes, he diagnosed the problem (bad circuit board), had one on his truck and replaced it. Very prompt and professional service. Will definitely use again when an appliance goes bad.

The refrigerator was not cooling.  I called Jeff over the weekend (based on Angie's list reviews) and received a prompt return call.  He arrived as scheduled.  The frig just needed freon, which he added.  He could have told me I needed a compressor, I would never have known.  I do appreciate his honesty.  The frig was cooling again instantly.  Thank you Jeff.  Thank you Angie's list.  Thank all those that take the time to post a rating.

They were prompt, reliable, honest, fair, competent, and totally reasonable on price.  I VERY HIGHLY recommend this company.
Jeff asked the right questions before he even came.  He came with the needed parts which he had purchased.  He disassembled the machine, fixed the problem, only to realize there was an additional problem.  It was at that point, he recommended that I not fix the additional problem as that would not be worth it (unit is 13 years old).  All he charged me for was the trip charge--not even for the parts that he purchased.  I think 99% of other repairmen would have easily tried to gouge me for $200+. 

I chose this company due to Angie's list positive reviews and I was happy I did.  My call was returned quickly, even on Sunday.  He asked enough questions to know ahead of time what my machine required.  He arrived on time and with the parts he needed to fix it on the fist visit.  I'm already doing laundry.

We came back from vacation to find that our refrigerator had stopped cooling.  I called Jeff, but he was also on vacation.  I called another person on Angie's List and within 2 days they had not returned my call.  I called Jeff again and he had just gotten home from his own vacation.  The next day I called him with the model number he requested and he was soon out and fixed the problem in no time at all.  He's great!  I definitely will call him again if another problem arises.cooling

We decided that it would cost a lot more to replace the dishwasher at this time and decided to replace the motor.  He is very prompt and comes when expected.  He's a nice, pleasant, honest and very professional person.  He even checked out our air conditioning unit and said it was running well, except for the fact that it's over 15 years old.

My washing machine had stopped rinsing,washing,spinning. When I called about service he told me he could be there in 30 minutes. He was there within the time frame, he diagnosised the problem, and fixed it in 20 minutes and he gave me an estimate before he started the work. Very professional,and knew what he was doing. I would use him again.

I found him on Angie’s List and he came out right away which might have been because he was not busy.  He was very good and very helpful.  The quality of his work was very nice.  He did not charge me for the filter he had replaced.

I called Jeff at Affordable Appliance Repair today - a Sunday - and left a message late morning. He called me back within 10 minutes. I explained the issue (my washing machine stopped working mid cycle, half full of water and clothes). I gave him the model name and number, and he was on his way home and said he'd look up some specs and call me back. He called back within an hour, and was out to my home within 30 minutes after that. His service call fee was $60, and he didn't charge more because it was a weekend/Sunday. He diagnosed the problem within just a couple of minutes (looks like some fabric softener or soap or something somehow oozed onto the power supply inside the machine). He replaced a couple of small parts and the machine was fixed within 10 minutes or so. Total charge was $85, and from initial phone call to fixed machine was less than 2 hours. I'm very happy with the service I received from Affordable Appliance Repair, and will use them again for appliance repair needs.

He found the problem, ordered and installed the new part very quickly. He returned my call quickly, came out to the house when he said he would (very responsive), kept in touch with us about status our part order, and was professional and nice. Price was very reasonable.  Only thing I wasn't happy with was that he didn't notice that part of the latch on the door wasn't installed on the new part (needed to be taken off the old door front and screwed into new front-the part you grab when you open the door).  We had to do this ourselves after he left, it only took a minute and my husband hadn't noticed it either (you couldn't see it was missing, I could just tell it felt different). Would use him again and recommend him.

Jeff got back to me on the phone very quick initially.  When I explained what was going on with our dishwasher he knew exactly what was wrong and ordered the part before even coming to our home.  When he arrived at our home he was very professional and fixed the dishwasher very quickly.  I highly recommend his services The overall experience was great!  They did ship him the wrong part initially, but it wasn't his fault.  The correct part number he ordered was on the box, but the parts inside the already opened box were incorrect.  He re-ordered the parts and came out the next day.  I highly recommend Jeff and will certainly use him in the future!

I contacted Jeff Wilson, the owner of Affordable Appliance Service on June 25th, 2012. I explained to him that my dishwasher had started to make a loud noise upon start-up. After relaying to him the make and model number, he scheduled an appointment for the following morning. 
Jeff showed promptly at the time agreed upon and after examining my dishwasher, explained that the pump had gone bad and would need to be replaced. He quoted the total cost plus taxes, which I agreed upon. He had also explained that he had called the parts store to confirm that they had the pump in stock. He then left and returned shortly with the new replacement pump.  Within 15-20 minutes, he had replaced the pump, placed the dishwasher back in place, cleaned up around him and lastly, returned my large throw-rug back in its original position.
I have used Jeff in the past to repair my washer and dryer; I have always been extremely satisfied with his work.

Overall, very pleased with Affordable Appliance.  One phone call didn't get returned promptly, but he readily apologized for that.

Jeff carefully put our washer through a wash cycle to determine the extent of repair needed.  He concluded that the washer needed major repair.  He recommended "No repair suggested"

I found them on Angie's List. We had trouble connecting with them but part of that was my fault. They did the job and I will use them again in the future.

I called Jeff and left a message.  He returned my call promptly and we set up an appointment.  Once parts arrived, he came promptly and executed the repairs quickly.  I am totally satisfied.

My refrigerator stopped cooling sometime Saturday morning. After looking it over for something obvious, we called Saturday afternoon to have it serviced and left a message. After about 1 hour or so, I again called and left a message and still got no reply. On Sunday I called again and still got a recording but did not leave a message.  On Monday morning I left another message at about 7:45. After about 1/2 hour I called another company which came out, and repaired my fridge and was gone by 9:30 am. and I went to work.. Later that day my wife came home and called me at work to say that a message was on the answering machine that the repairman was out of town over the weekend. (That would have been nice to know on Saturday, I would have called someone else Saturday instead of waiting.) I waited because the hours listed appeared to indicated that calls were handled on Sat and Sun which few places do. With all the glowing reports for this company, I wanted to use them, unfortunately a lack of attention to detail has me concerned about using this company.
You might ask what would have improved the situation.1)  If the answering machine that took my message had simply had a message that no one was available for repairs that weekend until Monday, I wouldn't have waited to call someone else.

My grade on this report is a C only because I got a return phone call; although I would have expected contact sooner than Monday at 1:30 pm  after I left 3 messages.

About a thousand times better experience than some others in that business!
