"We're so saddened that (removed member name) chose to make public a complaint that she never actually made to us. Until this review was published, she never told us about any dissatisfaction with her pool step and never gave us the opportunity to correct any possible defect. When we called her to discuss the issue with us, she hung up on us. We very much hope that she calls us back and lets us try to remedy the situation. We take our Angie's List reputation very seriously. Contractors do sometimes make mistakes, and it's possible that we made one here. But smearing us without letting us correct a possible error is not what Angie's List is all about."

Pool work was excellent and pool looks great. Disappointed in the pavers. They look dull and have a matte finish. I was told that they would have a wet look and they are far from looking wet. When I questioned if they used the right sealer, they said yes. When I told them I was unhappy with how the pavers looked, they said they would stop by and take a look the next time they were in my neighborhood. That was 4-6 months ago and I have not heard from them since.
I can recommend them for pool resurfacing but would not recommend them for installing pavers. I plan on getting someone else to reseal my pavers.
"First of all, thank you for the positive parts of your review. I'm sorry that you are not satisfied with the appearance of the sealer we used on your brick pavers. We did use a water-based sealer (per our contract) called "Wet Look" by the manufacturer Seal 'N Lock. Because this is not a zylene sealer (which is bad both for the environment and for the pavers), it does not have a high gloss, but it is glossier than the sealer that we usually use, called "Natural Luster". We explain this to every customer who requests Wet Look. If you do decide to have your pavers resealed, make sure you let your new contractor know that the original sealer is water-based. If they use a zylene sealer to give you the shine you want, they should probably strip the original sealer first, especially since it is less than a year old."
Mike the owner of the company came by to give us thge quote. Very nice and professional went over absolutely everything a great salesman but not pushy at all. After we received the quote which was in the middle of the pack we decided to go with this company based on a family members recent pool installation experience with them and because of Mike's sales pitch.Went to the office to pick out tile, pavers and pool color. Lori made this experience a lot easier than expected. Julie handled all the scheduling answering my numerous questions and concerns happily. The workers came everyday as Mike had promised once they start the job they finish it with no breaks in between. The workers did an excellent job the pool and pavers look amazing. Would highly recommend Sparkling Kleen.

The service after the resurfacing was completed was thorough, the staff friendly and knowledgeable and responsive to any questions we had.

We are very upfront with our customers when it comes to the pool service - we do not need you to be home when he does his routine service and cleanup, and we can not give you good timing. For that reason, we do schedule a final appointment for customers with him - that's the opportunity to ask questions and go through "pool school". We will try to be clearer in the future."

We did keep in touch with both your daughter locally and with you while you were away, letting you know that we couldn't work those days. Under normal circumstances once we start a job we work without interruption, but continuous rain does throw a monkey wrench into our scheduling."
Be prepared to make a myriad of decisions about tile colors, paver styles, grout, general pool design... on and on. I spent hours at the store with Julie who also visited my home to help with decisions. Julie is a gem and put up with my numerous visits to bring home new tile and paver samples.
Bottom line first - My wife had tears in her eyes. Our pool and lanai look like 'Lifestyles of The Rich And Famous'. The quality and workmanship is first rate. Our house "wraps around" the pool area so the view from every room and the front entrance has become dramatic. The renovations changed our home!
Some details:
Crew #1 showed up at 7:30am. (Julie had notified me the day before that they were coming). They worked very hard. They were also perfectionists. The four man crew removed the old tiles, put in new bull nose pavers at pool edge and completely re-tiled the entire pool. I spent quite a bit of time with them... occasionally answering questions, and watching as my pool was transformed. They were meticulous and also took pride in the work they did. Occasionally joking with each other, but always working hard. Respectful, likeable, hard working, and very good at what they did.
Crew #2 appeared several days later, again as per Julie's call the day before. 7:30am again. Their job was to resurface the plaster. The six man crew moved fast to keep the plaster flowing. Apparently, getting the plaster onto the pool walls is critical and time sensitive. They were all business until my entire pool was covered with the new plaster. After the plaster had been applied, three of them worked especially hard to smooth down the texture and make it perfect. This was serious work as it would affect the look of the pool for a decade or more. I had a couple of mosaics implanted, they were meticulous with the placement. (I think they 'make' the pool.) I chose a texture that would make the water look slightly more blue than it was before the rebuild. I could not be happier with the new water color. About the crew - respectful, hard working, a joy to have at the house.
Crew #3. This was the paver crew. I was unsure about going with pavers...It turns out the pavers look amazing and complete the lanai. It would have been a mistake to go with anything else, and on Mike's advice I went with them. We couldn't be more pleased. I had a couple of issues with the drain when the paver crew had finished. Mike told me not to worry and that he would send someone out to make it right. A few days later another four man crew arrived. These guys were special. Professional, respectful, hard working, likeable... They listened to my requests and then did more! My deck is breathtaking.
