Prompt response, excellent communication. Fixed my Maytag washer quickly and explained what to do with my 21-yr old fridge without charging for unnecessary repairs.

Called about 8:30 on a Monday morning. Tony arrived abour 10:30 the same day. Very professional and knowledgeable. Assessed our dishwasher and informed us betteroff replacing it as overly expensive to repair. (They do not sell appliances so not trying to sell us one.) Ask about changing the motherboard in our microwave. They do not normally work on microwaves but as I already had a replacement provided by manufacturer he replaced it for me. Fast, efficient, helpful and reasonably priced. This company is the one to use in our area. The Lady answering the phone is pleasent, helpful and professional as well.

Doesnt service my product

We have homes in 2 states and have never had a better repair person than Tony at Halifax. We previously used another local company that unnecessarily replaced our fan motor at an exorbitant cost. The problem persisted with the cooling and we called Halifax. Tony researched our problem and replaced a different part; works perfectly now. Recently we had an ice maker issue, Tony to the rescue again! I just can't say enough about Tony's honesty and ability. He's our guy!

Tony was able to diagnose the problem over the phone. Had to have the temperature dial replace. Said would be here between 9-11am. Was here at 10 am. The job was done within 5 minutes. Very professional and courteous.

Tony was great -- I called him at 5pm on Wednesday because the washing machine wouldn't turn on/do anything. He spent more than 5 minutes on the phone with me, walking me through various tricks to get it to work. When none of them helped, he asked if Thursday morning (next day) would work, between 8:00 and 8:30. He showed up at 8:15, and had the washing machine fixed and working within 45 minutes. Highly recommend Halifax Appliance Services! If I need any other appliances repaired, I know who I'm calling first.

I called Tony at Halifax Appliance and he and I discussed the type of washing machine I have, our personal usage patterns, and we determined that the washer style didn't fit our usage and the repair that was likely to be needed would be very expensive. He was knowledgeable, and didn't try to sell me something that wouldn't work long-term. The conversation reminded me of locally owned small businesses by professionals that know what they're doing without the problem of economic motivation above service.

After explaining the problem and the cost to repair, we made the decision to buy a new dishwasher. Tony guided us on the pros and cons of various types of dishwashers and recommended brands. His guidance dovetailed with Consumer Reports (you didn't think I wouldn't double-check, did you?). He also put us in touch with a good installer. I definitely will call Tony at Halifax Appliance again.

Good. Tony checked it all out, cleaned inside the dryer, and recommended dryer vent cleaning/ replacement At the exit from the building. Experienced, knowledgeable. Definitely would use him again!

The gentleman came the same day, ordered a part and returned 2 days later to fix the problem. He wasn't cheap, but we felt the price was fair.

Tony McMullin was quick to respond to my phone message regarding my problem with the dishwasher. He estimated a time during the next day that he could check out the machine. He arrived when he said he would and ran some diagnostics and tested circuits to determine what the problem was. As suspected, the heating element was not working so he ordered the part and would be able to install the unit as soon as it was available. While he was at my home I mentioned that the ice maker on my refrigerator was not working and that he might add that to the work to be done when the dishwasher part was in. He decided to look at the refrigerator right then and found that a spring had come loose. He put the spring back in place and said that ice would begin to be dispensed in a short while. He was correct. When he received the heating unit he made arrangements to return to install it. As before, he arrived at the time stated and did the work quickly and neatly. I appreciate his positive attitude and professionalism. I would definitely use his services again if the need arises.

Tony diagnosed the problem accurately over the phone and made the replace/repair decision easy. He was able to squeeze me in within 2 hours since it ended up being a minor repair.

The service was excellent! Tony was very knowledgeable about the service that needed to be done on our washing machine. He called right back after our initial contact. After hearing about the situation, he set up an appointment and was here when he said he would be which is very important to me. He was fair and very professional! I would recommend him and his company to anyone who needed any appliance work done.

I called Halifax Appliance in the morning and Tony was at our home by 2:00 the same day. He found and fixed the problem quickly. He was professional, knowledgeable and thorough. He fixed the problem and explained to me what the problem was, what he did to fix it and what I could do to prolong the life of the freezer. I was very pleased with the service and will definitely use them again.

Tony arrived on time, was professional, easy to talk to, figured out where the problems were and fixed them. He also cleaned out the dryer vent and went up on the roof and checked the vent out up there. I was very impressed with him and he was very reasonable. We will definitely use him again and tell all of our friends about him. It is difficult to find good people.

Was repaired worked well for a week when ice maker stopped working again with frosting up in freezer.

Tony called back promptly (even though is it was the morning after a long holiday and I'm sure he had many calls to return!) and arranged come the same afternoon. He was very nice, definitely knew his stuff, and was very positive about everything, including the misbehaving dishwasher. The problem turned out to be a less-than-quality part from when I purchased it, and Tony modified it first to see if that will work before we would need to invest in a more expensive repair. I paid with a credit card right over the phone, and he emailed me an invoice. I would use Halifax Appliance again and would definitely recommend him.
