About us

Todd Orie, the owner of A Certified Screen Service, Inc. began his career in the aluminum industry at the age of 14, when he began working at his father's aluminum company in Orlando. While working for his father, Todd gained first hand knowledge of the aluminum industry and installation of all home improvement products that the company carried. Todd became a State Certified Building Contractor in 1987. In 1990 Todd decided to start his own aluminum contracting company. Later the company was expanded to include service to service their customers on the East Coast, with the opening of a 3200 square foot sale and service facility in Port Orange. His wife JoEllen, of over 20 years started an active role in the accounting department in 1995. In 2003 they completed the 3 year building project of A Certified Screen Service located at 560 S. Yonge St in Ormond Beach. The company is presently serving contractors and homeowners in Volusia, Flagler, St. Johns County and relocated loyal homeowners in Ocean Reef, Key Largo, Florida. Service area covered: Volusia County, New Smyrna Beach, Flagler County & Key Largo

They were excellent. When I first called, Tiara told me up front that they had about a 10 week lead time. I said ok, and she had a guy out in 2 days to measure. He was very professional and went over the different types of screen and how they could fix the gutter. We got a quote which was in line with the screen calculators I found on the net. I asked if they could do it any sooner because 2 of the screens were damaged and no matter how hard I tried, one if my cats managed to find a way out at night. So Tiara said she'd move us up if she could. Yeah! 3 weeks later Ricky and Sean showed up. They went above and beyond. Our lanai was a mess. I had put up this temporary fencing and wired it up to keep the cat in. And it hadn't been power washed in an age. It had all this black mold. They took everything down, cleaned everything til it was bright white, put 2 splices in the gutters, cleaned the pad, rescreened, and cleaned up after themselves. It took 2 days and they really worked hard. It is so nice to be able to use my lanai again. I would use them again in a heartbeat. Thanks A-Certified! ??

Amazingly well. Todd Orie was professional, knowledgeable and helpful with all of my concerns. He made certain my lawn was not torn up, the drainage issue was covered and he gave suggestions that helped me gain the covered patio I dearly wanted. Tiara, their office manager was also on top of every need. Unless you think this might be a one off, I have used A. Certified Screens for over 20 years. I have always been pleased with the results and highly recommend them.

It took a day and a half of non-stop pressure washing beams, removing old, putting in new screens, straightening the frame, and tightening and replacing missing screws. The enclosure is very big - takes up almost the entire backyard. The team worked hard and were very conscientious in everything they did. They were professional and even washed the mess from the patio before they left. A job well done. I am very satisfied with this company and will use them again, hopefully it won’t be anytime soon. I highly recommend A Certified Screen Service. Everyone from the office staff to the screeners are kind and courteous. THANK YOU A CERTIFIED!

Great. I was given a date of November 2017 which was a year's wait. Apparently, it was worth the wait and the price because I am pleased with the job and the work ethic of the men. They completed the job a month earlier than forecast and it looks good. It is a higher quality of construction than the ones at my other homes. They were considerate of my yard and plantings and those of my neighbors. I recommend them to anyone who needs their help.

The owner came out and looked at the job. He said to be honest this is a job that I do not want to do. There would be a lot of messing around and adjustments to the house... more than he wanted to do... He explained a lot about the process and what to watch out for when I selected a provider. Explained why he did not want the job, and we chatted for an hour anyways! He seems very honest and they have some great reviews in Angie's already

We recently had a trailer come crashing through our screen enclosure. A Certified was the only company we could get to come out within a reasonable amount of time. They were professional and very timely. I was impressed by the quality of their work and their team. Two weeks before Hurricane Mathew hit we had our screen enclosure back. I was heart sick because i was confident we were going to lose it all over again, Our area was hit with 90mph winds as were many others. 3 of us have to replace our roofs because we lost so many shingles. My neighbor across the street had a tree fall through his screen enclosure and totally ruined it. All of us within a 100 feet of each other. I am ecstatic to say the cat 3 hurricane was no match to A certified's workmanship. Our screen enclosure is still perfect. Thank you A certified screen Service, you guys rock! Do hire them, don't consider anyone else.

WOW! From my initial call to their office for an estimate, the salesperson's visit to measure, and the installation shortly thereafter, I have to rate an A++. Everyone I was in contact with at A Certified Screen was very pleasant, had instant and accurate answers to my many questions, and the screens were installed neatly and professionally. Scheduling appointment was easy -but 2 weeks out. The over the phone quote given was 2 dollars per square foot/ minimum 89 dollars; which sounded about right. The quote given was after we expressed the panels were over the pool. Once the tech arrived, we were told it would be 275 dollars. They also charge a fee for using a credit card.

Unfortunately I must point out that when your husband called to arrange the service we explained it is difficult to provide a quote over the phone without seeing the job but we would provide a free written estimate before any work is performed and you could decide if you wanted the service to be completed with no obligation. We also want to make recognition that despite the pouring down rain, our technician made sure to still complete the work of re-screening those 2 roof panels. Most companies would have gone out and say they would have to reschedule for the work to be done on a later date because of the weather. Our technician always makes sure to go over the work that he will be doing along with getting approval from the homeowner on price and work before any work is done, which he did. We are very conscious of providing a quality service at the lowest price possible, the reason we charge a fee for using a credit card is because we get charged a fee, this allows us to keep our prices as low as possible for those that choose to pay by check or cash. We are committed to being the best screen enclosure company and will use your comments to see if there any way we can improve our service. Todd, his office staff and his crew were all very professional and knowledgeable. Everyone was a pleasure to deal with right from the initial meeting and estimate with Todd. We were kept in constant contact by the company regarding all steps of the process from filing for permits to the finish of the job and final inspection by Todd. The extension and re-screening came out better than we had hoped. We would definitely use them again and highly recommend them.

I had called them on 8/10/15 around 2 o'clock because The contractor I had called the week before had given me a price and assured they would be out between 8:30 and 9:00 am on Saturday to complete the job.  Their quote was for $300.  Needless to say, the contractor from the week before never showed up and never returned my 3 phone messages, until about 1/2 hour after I had called "A Certified Screen Service, Inc.  The company told me they would have someone with materials to complete the job at my house between 2 and 4 pm.  Donald (Curtis) showed up at 4:10 and apologized for being late.  He then surveyed the situation and said he could complete within 1-1/2 hours at a cost of $278.  I agreed and he was finished and cleaned up everything within the agreed time.  I would strongly recommend anyone in need of  screen repair call A Certified Screen Service, inc.
