NCG arrived on time on a very hot day and started work immediately. There were five workers and the improvement to the yard is phenomenal They trimmed shrubs, removed dead limbs. pulled weeds, cleaned out old flower beds, raked and planted new rose bushes and African iris They never stopped except for brief water breaks They also took the debris away and even trimmed some shrubs my regular yard guy had not done. After they finished Bill asked me to check if they had accomplished everything, which they had. The yard is gorgeous. I am so glad I found this company on Angie's List.
Bill's team was fast and efficient, and completed a great deal of work in a short period of time. He followed up for payment, and came out to ensure that I was 100% satisfied with the work performed. After pointing out a couple of minor details, he didn't hesitate to have his team return to take my satisfaction to 110%.
I would highly recommend NCG to anyone, and will certainly be using them again.
1. He destroyed 1 of our fence posts coming into property.
2. He seemed rushed from the beginning.
3. He only worked for 30 minutes and left because, as he stated "I am late for a bigger job"
4. He said that he lost 30 minutes going to the wrong address. Again, I will take the blame on that.
5. I will say this, the job they did do was perfect. Too bad about the rest though.
"We would like to thank you for your review of services rendered and in acknowledging the quality of our work. We would also like it to be known that projects schedule through Angie's List are for current Angie's List Members only and are not transferable to additional family and associate's properties not within the membership listing. Per our arrangement, we arrived at the property listed in the membership and previously verified by the owner, to which we were on time. Upon arrival, we were notified that the location of the property was in fact not the membership owner's, however, we accommodated this request and traveled to the requested address. Time for projects start upon our arrival at the specified property location and are scheduled out in advance with the Angie's List member and NCG Management Services LLC. Therefore, once we arrived on the first property the project time had begun, and travel time to the new location, apprx. 20 min, was included in service time. Billed hours of labor are for any combination of man hours it takes to complete a project whether it be 1 employee for 3 hours or 3 employees for 1 hour. The price included in the package is the same along with all labor costs associated. With the travel time needed to relocate the project, the 3 laborers, and the additional travel time necessary to make the next project, it was necessary to finish everything in an efficient and timely manner as to not set back other scheduled customers. Our days are scheduled out in advance and include estimated labor times and travel times to the appropriate housing locations specified in one's Angie's List Membership. We would like to apologize for hitting the post as the truck did not clear the angle necessary for entrance. However, upon our completion of work we did reset the post, which was not attached to any fixture, back in place."
Bill arrived at the appointed time and we walked around the property as I explained all of the things I was considering. The top item on my list was a privacy hedge across my rear lot line. We agreed that Viburnum was the best choice. Bill also took some pictures of the house for a front of house refresh and said he would get back to me with a quote for the hedge in a day or two.
I thought the quote was fair for the number and size of installed plants. I agreed to the proposal and mailed in the 50% deposit. Bill made an appointment for the following Saturday.
Bill and his crew of three sturdy young men showed up bright and early and got straight to work. I had placed a string line from end to end of the hedge line. I also had marked some irrigation heads and asked the they take care not to cut the supply lines while digging. The hedge line was running across about a 4ft diameter palmetto bush which we agreed may be an additional charge for digging out depending on the amount of time it took. They finished the job in under 3 hours.
Everyone on the crew was polite and professional. The work done was very good including cleanup and removal of the removed sod.
Bill brought a drawing of the front of house refresh we talked about. He sat with my wife and I and chatted about that for about 10-15 minutes before he left. He will be providing an itemized quotation for the work this week.
I would certainly recommend NCG to my friends and neighbors.
It has been over thirty days since we hired NCG Landscape & Lawn Maintenance to install new sod on the front yard and sidewalk common area of our home. I decided to wait this long to write this review to see how the new sod would settle and appear after being in place for over a month. Well I must say our new lawn looks exceptionally beautiful. Bill Kass, the owner of NCG, did everything he promised including providing excellent detail instructions on how we should maintain the new lawn for the first two weeks and thereafter. Bill and his crew came out a day before the scheduled date to remove the old grass, weeds, and treat the lawn accordingly. The sod pallets were delivered timely and after seven days as scheduled the crew returned and installed the new sod. Bill Kass is a man of his word. NCG does excellent work and I would certainly hire the company again as well as recommend to others.
"Unfortunately, being a small, private business, we do not always have the resources to accept work for properties outside of our service area. Prospective customers inquiring for service must meet a minimum quoted project price to be considered for long distance services. Although we would like to service everyone that wishes to do business with NCG Management Services LLC, given the scope of the project and distance for travel, we apologize that your project did not fit our business model. Because of this, we were unable to give you the best value of service possible. We could not provide service to your location which is why we, unfortunately, could not bid on your requested services."
Thomas and one other crew member labored w/cleaing up my entire large back yard of limbs, small branches, twigs, and other assorted junk. Then they mowed the back yard and trim/edge all the areas as needed. During this whole process they kept their promise not to kill 2 very small budding growing plants.
Then they tackled the front where most of the leaves were. Thomas trimed 3 very large overgrown hedges and then both began the back breaking labor intensive leave pick up. The front yard was then mowed.
It took these 2 men about 2.5 hours to deliver a decent front and back yard. I know they worked very hard and the work was most appreciated.
