"FNS was contracted to remove the DHW panel for a new roof to be installed. Once the technicians were on site they found there were no safety valves on the tank and this was a free-flow system which is obsolete. The technicians had to manually blow into the feedline to get the panel to drain in order to be able to remove the panel. The technician explained all of this to the homeowner on site and advised the panel could not be reinstalled therefore provided the homeowner with an estimate for replacement. This estimate included an 80/40 DHW System with a 4x10 AET Collector Panel, an 80 Gallon American Tank, a Goldline Control, and new copper lines in the attic. The homeowner was only obligated to provide payment for the removal and no obligation stands with the system replacement quote. The homeowner hot water panel was removed as contracted; nothing was discarded, and all property removed, remains on the homeowner premises."
