our power company completed an energy audit, advised us whay needed to be done to reduec our energy cost and got our okay to proceed with the recommendations. They had Ferran Engineering contact us to set an appointment for an estimate of the cost of repairs. Ferran arrived promptly, furnished an estimate, received our okay to do the work and promply came to our home and completed thework in an efficient and professional manner and left no mess.

A/C was not working. They installed a new A/C unit under warranty. Duct work in attic needed repairs. They are in the process of repairing duct work. We had a couple of other A/C companies look at the duct work in the past who told us it was fine however, certain rooms in the house were always hot. Ferran got up in the attic and found two areas where the ducts were actually not connected and were blowing cold air directly into the attic instead of down through the vents.

I'm not sure of our technician's name, but he was very friendly, and really cared about the quality of the work! He was very invested in our opinion, and did an amazing job. We paid 90 dollars per hour, which is more expensive than we thought, but the quality and service we received was well worth it. I'm glad I took the advice of the good reviews on Angie's list!

Dan was great and he solved a problem in a way that saved me money and time. I would use them again for sure.

I had a variety of plumbing concerns after purchasing a new home. I called Ferran and they had a plumber here within 2 hours of my call. The receptionist and dispatcher were both friendly and courteous. Dan Sanders arrived and was also very professional. He advised me about all the leaky faucets and supply lines. In the end, he replaced the fill valve, flapper, and supply line in one bathroom. In order to address the other issues, I need to purchase a new faucet. I won't hesitate to have him come back to install it!

Service Tech was prompt and professional. Only complaint is that we both forgot to turn the house off outside which we were using to test if the water had been turned off. When the water was restored, it ran for a couple hours before I noticed and now I have the dirt hollowed out under the corner of my house. That was as much my fault as the Tech's though.

It took Ferran three trips to complete this job - one initial job where the electrician professed to have fixed both problems, and two subsequent trips by an estimator and another electrician to actually get the job done. The electrician on the third and final trip (Grant #2336), in particular, copped an attitude. I would have expected him to say "I'm sorry we've had to make three trips out here, let me do what I can to make it right." Instead, when I was explaining the history of the pool outlet problem and referred to the first electrician as "your guy," he interrupted and asked "my guy, why is he my guy?" Because you both work for Ferran. I'm paying Ferran my money. Just do the job and leave the attitude in the truck. After he diagnosed the problem as a bad GFCI outlet, I mentioned that I had supplied the outlet (brand new out of the box from Home Depot) at the suggestion of the first electrician so I wouldn't have to pay the "off the truck" cost of $40. The third electrician (today's) quickly replied that since I supplied the outlet the warranty on the job would be voided. After some back and forth, he said he'd call the home office to see what they said. He ultimately only charged me $35 for the new GFCI outlet and nothing for the time/labor. But I didn't appreciate the drama. If I were a contractor and had to make two follow-up trips for an initial trip that didn't go well, I'd be quick to assure the customer that we would do everything we could to make it right and that he should only have to pay once to get a job done right, not two (or three) times. Ferran is a big business with a handsome building on I-4. But maybe a little too big if this is their SOP. Jack of all trades, master of none....

From start to finish, everything went. A very professional and correct job by their serviceman, Theo.

I called at 8 AM with a request for two separate service calls for that day. One for AC, and another for electrical. For both visits a dispatcher called appx 1/2 hour in advance to say that the service person was on their way. The AC service man found that the freon was low. He added Freon. He searched for a leak with a freon detector. That cost extra. He added Freon after making sure we understood, and initialed the order saying that it cost extra per pound of Freon. He was polite and knowledgeable. He found no leak, but theorized that the missing caps at the condenser could have been the problem. For the light switch, another repairman thoroughly checked to make sure that all the 3 switches on the 4 way switch worked properly.

They are prompt and on time. They are good. They take care of my electrical, plumbing and A/C or service calls.

I received a very thorough estimate of the work necessary to reduce our energy usage and with enough detail to provide our landlord with a proposal so that we could split the cost and use less energy.

The service went well. I would use them again in the future.

Our previous HVAC contractor was painful to work with and my dealings with Ferran have been very painful as well. Please note, Ferran was not the original installer of this unit. I know I should have noticed all the problems from the work and then the rework right away. But I'm not an HVAC professional - I shouldn't have to look through vents, open up the air handler, figure out why the AC filter door won't close and why the screws to the air handler covers won't go in straight and see the hole under the air handler isn't centered and is too small. But I did after the fact both times and honestly, I don't want them back out a 3rd time. If the service manager thinks this is good enough, I've had enough. I am tired of being angry and have no intention of forcing someone to do good work. The odor issues continue to change - I am working with an IAQ contractor and have data. I don't expect Ferran to figure out the problem, but I expect help and advice, and yes - I am willing to pay for expertise. I pay the prices that are asked, I don't ask for corners to be cut, and I expect good work. I am now looking for another HVAC contractor to help us resolve the old issues and fix the new issues. We have a small older home and we would like clean cool air from a unit that doesn't suck the closet door shut and blast out air that doesn't smell very good. I am looking for an HVAC contractor who will help, not one that does poor work and never calls me back. I don't want anyone from Ferran to contact me based on this report.

They partially fixed it the first time and then came back to fix it right. They charged me as much for the second time as they did the first time. I felt it was a little out of line.

I contacted Ferran Services and was given a quick appointment time. I was told that the service person would diagnose the problem and then would give us an estimate to repair the problem. Theo arrived on time. He immediately went to work trying to think where the leak might be. It could have been anywhere on the property and I was worried that this could be an expensive repair. Theo asked me some questions, did some deductive reasoning and made an initial educated guess where the leak might be. His guess turned out to be right !! He then repaired the leak successfully. Theo worked harder than I've seen anyone work in a long time. It was a very hot day and he had to do a lot of digging. I couldn't believe how fair the company was and how more than fair the price was. So, if you have a problem needing a little detective work - call Ferran and ask for Theo.

They are great. They were very professional. They did a great job. This was the 3rd or 4th time we had them come out. We had them come out even before we got on Angie's List. We saw them on Angie's List. They did a very good job. I think their price was very comparable to everybody else.

It went well. They were very professional and punctual. They were the lowest cost out of 4 companies.
