Scheduling was easy to do and they called about 30 minutes before arriving. They were right on time. Both of them did a great job and worked diligently to ensure the French drains were clear. They also discovered one of the drains was damaged and separated. Overall they did a great job and I’m happy with the work they performed.

Outstanding work quality and customer service. All work to replace drain field was high quality and conducted in a timely and professional manner. I needed to obtain documentation and drawings of work completed almost 14 years ago. The office staff went above and beyond expectations and completed the request in a very timely manner. Very impressive customer service.

We purchased a $15K tank and drain field system from Drainage Solutions. The system was installed on the side of a slope that was to be dug prior to the installation. The group that did the install did not have proper instructions or supervision from Frank, who sold us the system, and therefore used around $2K more in fill dirt which DS charged us for. This also resulted in a steep slope that we can't use our riding mower on, something we were promised would not happen, and considerable extra costs for more sod. A few weeks after the install a foot-wide hole opened up near the tank. My 6' tall husband stepped near that hole and fell in all the way up to his hip, but luckily was not injured. We called DS at least 9 - 10 times begging for them to fix the improper tank backfill. They would repeatedly lie to us about coming out and never show. Only once did they call to cancel; most of the time we sat home waiting and they didn't call or answer the phone. After months of this we called Seminole County for help. They sent an inspector out, and within a few days the County had DS back out to check the system and properly backfill the tank. This was after months of us begging and calling 2 - 3 times per week!!! The fill over the top of tank is still about a foot lower than the drain field, which Frank acknowledged is not right. A few months ago as I was mowing one of the wheels of my mower touched the edge of the cover on the risers DS charged us hundreds extra to install, and the cover popped off. We could not screw the cover back on because the dirt had fallen in over the tank and collapsed the side of the riser; now the round top does not fit the oval riser and dirt can flow right into the tank. I called Frank and sent him photos. Twice he said he would come out himself to have this fixed. Twice he has not shown up when he said he would. When I call his office, every time I call they act as if they don't know what I am talking about an ask me to explain myself all over again. The last time I called they simply flat out claimed this was my fault and refused to fix it. I sincerely hope you do not go through the same aggravation we have. All told, we invested over $20K including landscaping (original estimate was $13K), and we ended up with a system Infiltrator states is improperly installed. When I spend that amount of money I expect to have peace of mind that the install is correct, the product will last and be well serviced. I don't. Photos and records are available.

"We have no such client in our data base, so we must conclude one of two reasons for this review. First reason, this person has us confused with another company or she may have hired someone representing our company and they pocketed the money without our knowledge. Either way, we apologize for any disappointment we may have caused you."

The pump truck broke down on the day they were supposed to come, but they called to let me know and to reschedule.  Rescheduled for the next week.  They arrived promptly and were in and out quickly.  I was very happy with the service.

I will never use this merchant again.
Charges were inflated and work was sub-standard (barely within code and not what was agreed to)
This merchant used to be known as "Drainfield Doctors".
Please be wary when a company changes their name for no apparent reason
Response from

"First we must admit that it is a relief that [Member Name] will not use our services anymore. The drainfield that was installed was permitted and inspected by Orange County Health Dept and passed inspection. It met all size and elevation requirements. [Member Name] was upset that rock residue washed out of the cover dirt and claimed that we did not haul away ALL the spoils, which anyone that ever had a drainfield replaced can confirm that it happens to all job sites. He would not have appreciated another load of soils taken away and incurring additional costs, which he seems to be complaining about. The change of our name had nothing to do with dissatisfied reputation. As Drainage Solutions, we do much more than septic systems. We also have one of the most professional staffs in Central Florida with licensed septic, storm, and engineers on our staff. We will not comment to this clients rantings after this correspondence, he took up months of our time with the BBB, which they found his complaints unresolveable. He would not have been happy with anything we would have done. Can't make everyone happy."

It went great! We were referred to this company from another plumbing company. The technician from the other company called them for us. Greg (the technician) arrived and was ready to work, despite the rain. He answered our enormous amount of questions with a smile on his face. He was very knowledgeable about his craft.
Thanks Greg and Drainage Solutions! We look forward to working with your company for our drain field.

I called Drainage Solutions because I had a storm drain that was backing up and flooding the garage. I called on 7/15 and the person answering the phone said they could possibly get someone out to look at it that afternoon, and if not that afternoon, then in the next couple of days. I gave them my number and they said they'd contact me when they were in the area. A week and a half later, I haven't heard anything. I called back on 7/28 and got a "yeaaaaah, we are pretty backed up, we'll get to you soon I'm sure. Probably this week." No thanks.  Meanwhile my garage has flooded two more times.

"I'm very sorry that you have not received a call from us to set an appointment and searched for a reason why this was not done. After reviewing our dispatch note book, service ticket log, dispatch log and checking with our estimators, we have not found your name or location in our system. This is the reason no one responded to your request for an estimate. We have a number of layers of records to cross reference the request but none have your info in it. I have a hard time believing we missed your info at all levels, but in case we did, I apologize. If this happened to me and I was interested in working with a company, I would ask for an owner or operations manager to ask if they were interested in doing business with me. If the persons answering the phones dismissed my call like you describe, asking for an owner would be the next best thing even if it's to say you won't do business with them. This complaint blindsided us and we believe we don't deserve it."

I was in a state of panic!! Water was gurgling in my kitchen sink whenever the toilets were flushed. Water was backing up into the shower stall. I called DS and talked with the owner Frank, who assured me that he would get someone out that day. Kenny arrived a couple hours later. He soon realized that because of the size of the house we probably had two septic tanks, which just moving here 2 years ago we did not know. The first one had been pumped out previously about 6 months ago so when this incident happened again we were stumped. So long story short, found the other tank, pumped it out, added a riser so that it can be found easily in the future and now everything is right with (our) little world again!!! :)

Frank the father was honest and informative when I initially called. His son Kenneth checked the site for estimate. They did not call to let me know the status of application or permits or schedule, but when I called after ten days there was clear answer. Two young men did the project. I watched the operation and asked if the ground needed to be compacted to prevent future settlement. The response was no, "we have always done it this way" with no problems!!! When they were ready to connect to the existing d-box I noticed a lot of soil debris at the inlet and asked it should be cleaned before connecting. I got a very rude, impolite, unprofessional response from one of the workers basically implying that I it's not their responsibility and that I've been interfering with their job. When I asked him to stop work till I resolve the problem with the office, he ignored me and made the bad connection on his own discretion. When I finally talked to Frank his response was that the contract is for septic replacement only with no d-box involvement. Frank was correct about the contract but I let the reader be the judge. Was the forced dirty connection to the inlet full of sand in any way professional and/or ethical?
Response from

"We try to be timely with our actions and responses, but when you are depending on others for their timely response, it makes it hard for us to answer for that. We did file a permit to replace this clients septic tank that was collapsing, and normally it will be about 5 to 7 working days to get it returned. This permit took a little longer for the return. The state health dept is the agency who issues the permit and they need to send an inspector to the site for a site inspection before they write the permit. The first 2-3 days is a waiting game because the utility companies need to locate all utilities before anyone digs into the ground. The inspector must take soil borings before they can determine the specifications of the permit. So it did take slightly longer to acquire this permit. The permit was written to replace the septic tank only, and our quote was for that purpose only. The connection that [member name removed] is referring to is the connection from the septic tank to the distribution box. The reason why we don't do anything to the d-box is because that would be considered a repair to the drainfield and that was not included in the scope of work. One reason we don't do anything to the d-box is because if the drainfield fails, one can always blame it on the work done to the d-box. We could have done a rejuvination to the drainfield and listed it to the county but [member name removed] would have had to pay an additional $1000.00 on top of the tank replacement, which he was not prepared to do. We are sorry if we did not satisfy this client to the fullest, but we did try."

The Drainage Solutions  guys came on time.  The two guys were efficient in locating the septic tank which is about 2 to 3 feet below surface.  They dug the area without complaints to expose the cover and pump-out the septic tank efficiently and they have to rinse it several times to get the thick sludge out.  They also gave me useful tips on how to manage my septic tank system (I am a new homeowner in oranole), tips on what to do and how to properly address the problem.  After excavatingt 2 to 3 feet of dirt they suggested a more permanent solution and I agreed to install a riser.  Eric suggested that he will come back to put the riser in at 6 pm.  He kept his word.  It rained while he was in the process of placing it but he continued until the job was done.  It is definitely a true mark of professionalism worthy of acknowledgement.  Thank you for a job well done in difficult circumstances.

Initial contact was prompt but that individual was only there to locate and uncover access point. He dug 2 holes approximately 2.5-3' deep. One was the acess point the other just revealed the mid-portion of a drainage pipe with no valve or opening of any sort. The locator told me septic truck would be there in about an hour but didn't arrive for at least 2hrs which was not a big deal as my work day is flexible. No complaints about pump out but they only filled in one of the holes and I have no idea why.

AWFUL!  ONGOING DRAMA WITH THIS COMPANY! This is BY FAR the worst company we have ever worked with here in Orlando.  The pump alarm went off after 2 weeks and they said our motor had burnt out.  The honored the warranty, and replaced it with a new pump (same model).  Alarm went off again after 2 weeks.  At first, they were not willing to do another replacement and told us we would have to pay for a better pump despite still not knowing exactly what the problem was.  After much yelling back and forth, and he said, she said, they upgraded us to a 1/2 HP Goulds Sewage Pump at no cost.  The alarm went off again after just a few days this time.  At this time, we also called an electrician to make sure it wasn't related to the wiring.  When Drainage Solutions finally came out, they found that the clamp on the superficial pipe in the septic well was undone.  They were not sure why at that time, but clamped it back again.  Pump worked for several months until we were on vacation again with my parents home.  Alarm went off again.  Despite calling repeatedly, Drainage Solutions to this date (now 4 weeks out) still has not come out to see what the problem was with the pump.  We had to call another company to get it checked out as our toilets were overflowing (which was mentioned to Frank, but he still had no rush to come out making several excuses including that we were out of his way).  This company found that the clamp closer to the septic pump (in the water) was undone.  They weren't sure why, but they felt that this pump (as well as the original pump) was more than sufficient for our house (which this septic pump has to pump uphill).  We actually had a 3rd company come look at it, and they felt the same way.  Despite our septic pump having a one year warranty, Drainage Solutions (and Gorman who they bought it from) refused to replace the pump, continuing to insist that we needed to buy a whole new pump (instead of just paying for the difference).  I called a 4th company, who said that was crap and that the warranty has to be honored (which is also what the 2nd company had told me too).  Frank and his company do not finish the job that was initially asked of them, and when problems occur, they turn their backs on you.  We are still stuck with a pump that is not working, and our toilets overflowing, and they STILL have not come out to see what could be the problem ... and only want to charge us more money to buy a new, more expensive pump, when they still have no idea exactly what the problem with the system is.  We do not flush anything down our toilets except toilet paper.  If I could give below an F, I would.  They have been so frustrating to work with and having operation toilets are very important for a house, especially when we have guests.  We are not drainage/septic tank people, so we have no idea how to fix this problem.  THIS IS WHAT THEIR JOB IS ... if they can't do it properly, they should go out of business!!!

RESPONSE TO COMPANY'S RESPONSE:  That was the problem with this company.  They never viewed us as their customer although it is OUR house.  Yes, the bank paid them directly, but that was part of the agreement for closing was that the bank fix any major problems.  They always just wanted to put a bandaid on the problem instead of trying to find exactly what the problem was.  All they cared about was charging you for coming out (although I would have none of that), when they should be diagnosing the problem.  This company has no idea what they are doing.  They wanted us to put in a 2 HP grinder pump which would also require us to change our electrical system down there.  When I talked to other companies, they said there was no need to replace my electrical system as a 1 HP grinder pump was more than sufficient and can run off my current system.  Drainage Solutions had no idea there was a 1 HP grinder pump that could do this.  This company also lied about saying the bank did not approve putting in a more powerful or grinder pump (as this was Drainage Solutions' recommendations in the first place).  I called the bank and they said this company never submitted anything to that effect and e-mailed me all the paperwork that was submitted.  BE CAREFUL with this company!  They are only after your money, and sure, they may be ok at first, but if anything goes wrong, don't count on them.  They are a FRAUD ... check out their history ... changing their company name three times (see Drainfield Doctor who was run by the same guy Frank) because they had bad reviews and also this Frank guy should not be working as he is technically on worker's compensation, so he is abusing the system!

Response from

"Drainage Solutions was hired by the bank to replace existing septic components that were not working. We did point out to the buyers agent that the pump in the rear lift station was overworked due to the head pressure, vertical push, and distance the pump need to pump. The buyers agent wanted us to upgrade the pump to meet the needs to drain tank timely & properly, but in order to accomplish that, we needed to convert the electric connection from 110 volt circuit to a 220v circuit. Our authorization was to replace existing conditions, not to upgrade anything. We did what was contracted, for our customer – The Bank – not [member name removed]. The pump burnt out within a short time – we replaced it with an upgrade ½ hp pump – that pump burnt out after a short while & we replaced it with the best ½ HP pump on the market – at no cost ever to [member name removed] – but [member name removed] wants the upgrade to what is needed – at no cost – that is not going to happen. We will not refund any money to [member name removed] because he never paid any money to Drainage Solutions for all services we already provided."

I've been having some plumbing issues in the house I just moved in. When the water started backing up in my shower this morning, I knew it was time to call a contractor for septic issues.
I called Drainage Solutions based on Angie's List reviews. They were able to schedule someone to come out within 2 hours of my call.
Dave and Eric pulled up and immediately got to work. They were both very nice and made sure I completely understood what they were doing and what they thought about the condition of my septic tank. I felt that they went above and beyond to take care of my situation, and I was very pleased with the experience.
