The service person arrived on time even though there was a massive rainstorm and it was rush hour. He quickly diagnosed the problem, cleaned out all the fur and lint collected inside the dryer casing, and fixed some wires that had started to melt. It took a little over an hour, and he referred us to a competent company to help us fix the rest of the problem. He was very nice and professional.

On a Sunday evening I realized my fridge and freezer were not getting cold. I swore my 15 year old fridge had finally taken its last breath. I left a message for Conway Repair about 8pm on a Sunday, and received a return call at 830am the next day and a repairman was at my house by 1pm that afternoon. After evaluating my fridge he quickly came to the conclusion that the only thing wrong was a broken thermostat. He created a temporary fix for the fridge while they ordered the part for a permanent fix. The part came in on Tuesday and he was back out on Wednesday morning to install the part. Overall I was very pleased with the experience.

The technician arrived promptly for the appointment. He was professional, courteous and very knowledgeable. He explained in simple terms what the problem was, and that there could be more than one cause. He expected that replacing the circuit board would fix the problem, but let us know that it was possible it wouldn't work, in which case he would try replacing another part. He replaced the part on Tuesday and asked us to call their office on Friday to let them know if it was working. We called on Friday to inform them the repair worked and paid the bill. We are very happy with the service and feel the price was fair.

I have used Conway Appliance repair for years - in fact I have recommended them to neighbors. However, my previous experience was based on the performance of the Owner, a very nice guy who was the Uncle of the guy who showed up this time. The younger guy (nephew of the owner) quickly diagnosed the problem - the door switch on the dryer. I was relieved as this sounded like a fairly easy and inexpensive repair. The guy then came back with a quote of $195 which included $45 for the part, so it was $150 for the service fee and labor. $150!!! Ridiculous! He said "IT HAS BEEN OUR POLICY FOR 20 YEARS TO INCLUDE THE SERVICE CHARGE ON TOP OF THE LABOR CHARGE." Which is a lie! Since I live in Hunters creek, he may have been up charging me. I told the guy his Uncle always gave us a break and waived the service fee. Plus $45 for the part sounded high. I would have had him do the work if it was $100, but NOT $195. I gave him a check for $65 for the service fee (and diagnosis) thinking I could probably fix it myself a lot cheaper than $195. I'm generally lazy and $100 would have been worth it to save me the hassle (plus I realize people need to earn a living), but $195 sounded like a total rip off to me. He then proceeded to argue with my wife, actually yelling from his truck parked on the street to my wife who was standing in our doorway saying "my uncle wouldn't ever come here to p*** on your house!" Obviously, very unprofessional. he obviously had major anger control issues. About a minute later he stormed back up the driveway and yelled "here, you want your check back?" and proceeded to rip up a check throwing it in our doorway! Obviously, this made me happy as I was now saving the $65 service fee. As he was walking back to his truck, I noticed that the check he had ripped up was purple with flowers on it - IT WAS NOT MY CHECK! It was a check from one of his previous customers probably for a larger amount than my $65. So I told him, "hey that was the wrong check you just ripped up." I handed him the pieces of check in exchange for my $65 check. I was happy and he obviously wasn't. Then he left. After he left, on a hunch, I opened the top of the dryer to inspect the switch. Just as I thought he had not properly put the old switch back together (if he had, I had a hunch I would have had a perfectly functioning dryer). I proceeded to connect the old switch and plug in the dryer. Voila, the switch worked! The dryer turned on! It was then that I noticed that the end on the switch that extends down into the door compartment was clipped off/broken. I am not sure if he had actually sabotaged the switch or had was broken before he got there - but based on his behavior, I would not put it past him to have broken the part. I then went on line and ordered a replacement switch - $6.95 plus $5 shipping. It took me 5 minutes to install after it arrived. Needless to say, I will not use Conway Appliance repair again and advise being careful if the nephew shows up as he may try to rip you off. But I do have a good story out of it!

They were very prompt and nice to work with. The technician called me to let me know what was wrong and how much it would cost. They were flexible in that I was able to pay them over the phone. That was a big plus for me because it is for a rental and I live out of town. The dryer is working fine.

Mark, the technician, arrived promptly and cheerfully and showed me what was wrong almost immediately. There was a coating of ice in the freezer, which I had not noticed. It seems the defrost timer was not working and the safety shutoff had burned up. He asked me if I wanted to replace them and told me the price. He had the parts in his truck and replaced them in no time. It was a professional and job and a good experience.

This is the second time i have used them. They are prompt reliable and professional. Much better than previous company I used which was Aand E appliance who caused a leak in my house and would not take any responsiblility. Would definitely reccomend this comapny.

Mark arrived at the promised time. He was friendly and very professional. He quickly diagnosed the problem with my dryer and had the necessary part on his truck. He replaced the broken part, tested the dryer and cleaned up the work area. The entire repair process took about 20 minutes. I was very pleased with the entire job. Our washer started losing water so after finding Conway Appliance on Angies list I emailed them for an appointment, but didnt hear back so I called a couple days later. They were able to schedule me in within a couple days and the service tech arrived on time and was very knowledgeable. He did a complete inspection of our washer and told us the price that it would be to repair, but then suggested we actually think about buying a new one since the repair would be a little over half the cost it would be replace it. Because our machine was over 12 years old we decided to take his advice. He gave us suggestions on the brands and types of washers that, in his experience, were amongst the most reliable. Overall, although he didn't repair our old machine, I would recommend this company to others if they are looking for a honest and fair repair company. But make sure to call as they did finally respond to my email, but it was nearly a week later on the day the appointment took place.

Our dryer stopped working so we called for service. Called on 9/10 and Josh was here on 9/11. He thoroughly checked the dryer and determined that the motor had burned out. He told me that he would call me later in the day for a price on the part. In the end we decided to buy a new dryer just due to the cost of the new motor and the labor. We will use Conway Appliance again in the future. They were honest and very responsive.

Scheduled appointment within 2 days of call. Service person called as requested, 30 min prior to arrival (so I didn't have to sit at home for a 2 hour window) and they showed up on time. They were very professional and most importantly, they fixed the dishwasher which had been unsuccessfully serviced by another company twice in the past month! Great experience and I would use them again for any appliance issues.

Josh arrived to fix an unknown problem - I could only describe the issue as "my washing machine is making a funny noise and it started just a couple nights ago." Josh quickly determined that the problem was probably in the pump and he took the washing machine apart so he could get to the pump. When he pulled the pump out, he found a bit of electrical wire (we have been doing some repairs and it apparently had gotten caught up in some rags). We removed the wire and he put the pump back on an tested the machine. It worked like a charm. He offered to replace the pump in case there was other debris in it that we couldn't see, but I opted to skip that for now. Josh put everything back together and was done with the whole job in about 40 minutes.

I called Conway Appliance and they had someone out the next day and at the time they said they would arrive. The dryer was fixed in 30 minutes. I will definitely use Conway Appliance again.

I think that is company is very good and prompt in their service. The technician was very knowledgeable. He was upfront and straight forward. The first circuit board that the installed was factory defective and they replaced it at no extra charge. I am confident in their service.

Service was extremely courteous, professional, and prompt. Work was done by Josh, who was knowledgeable and very nice. The work was done at a rental property I own and they made it very easy for me to get the work done without having to be there myself. They showed up right when they said they would and got the job done efficiently and at what seemed like a very fair price. Only negative was that they were unable to be reached outside of normal Mon-Fri business hours (no emergency or after hours phone number). Overall, I would highly recommend them and will definitely use them again.
