The tech came out and tried to get my unit working. She said she tried to vacuum out the line but it was solid and would need a chemical treatment, at $450 and the moisture switch needed to be redone with a 90 degree fitting for another $300. When all was done my bill would have been $1490. I declined and paid the $109 service call for a non working unit. Called another company and they came out and for $80 vacuumed out the line and had the air working in less than 30 minutes. I asked about the 90 degree fitting and he said that no way wouldn’t at work. Found out this company works on commission so the more they sell you what you don’t need the more they make . I would not recommend them at all.

I paid $99 for an inspection, but they never delivered any inspection report. I followed up multiple times and each time they said they would send it. After a couple of weeks, I just disputed the credit card charge since they hadn't (and still months later haven't) delivered my report to me at all (I assume it doesn't exist). Just today, I found out they sent my "debt" to a debt collector. So scummy.

SCAM ALERT!!! Called them Monday for 2 AC units, I told them there was a sense of urgency. WARNING!!! If they come up with OPTION 1 this price OPTION 2 this price RUN!!!!!! The tech said they would contact me the next day to give me an estimate. He told me i needed to give them a cc for deposit of $575 and the total cost would be $2300 + freon. I called Tuesday for a copy of the quote and my deposit and to find out when the part would arrive... I called them 3 times that day. Wednesday I called them again 3 times was promised each time they would call me right back. Thursday after the 3 rd call I got so angry they let me wait for 15min and then transferred me to someone who told me that bc of warranty this part was now over $4000. The AC probably cost something like that. I now have to get me depost back via my cc. I called a different company they came the same day and fixed both ACs for less than $1000 freon included. SHAME ON THEM FOR SCAMMING PEOPLE LIKE THIS!!!!!!! DO NOT USE THEM! CALL ANYONE ELSE!

The ARS workers are great, came on time, and worked hard throughout the day-long process of installing new HVAC for my home. It has been typical for ARS to take several days to get back to me (even with me calling them) to set up that appointment or follow-up. But, again, the work is/was fantastic! As per the normal, the Technicians have all been wonderful, a joy to have in our home. They are fast, friendly, and knowledgeable - every time. However, you will have to keep on top of the management, they tend to blame and shame their office and operations staff, but, I only ever had great experiences with the people who are doing the work. We had a bad motor and fan "squirrel cage" in our NEW system that they just installed and it shook and vibrated the whole house. They took several days to get it fixed, proposed a new system, and never delivered. If the managers say they will call you back, they usually do not, so you will have to keep calling them. But, all, I mean ALL of the workers have always kept their word, not only to call back but, on many other issues and occasions. Really the only issue I have is with the managers, but, the reason keep on using or going back to ARS is the workers! They are the best! Thank you to the Techs and other workers!!!

I am writing this review to express my deep dissatisfaction and frustration with ARS Rescue Rooter of North Central Florida. As a customer who has had a maintenance a relation with them since the unit was installed on Oct. 2021 and that has a subscription plan with them, I expected reliable and prompt service. However, my recent experience with their services on June 29 has been nothing short of a nightmare. As of Wednesday, July 5, nothing has been fixed, and no response from them despite many calls, even after they sent a notification to the supervisor. First and foremost, my AC unit suddenly stopped working after a technician did the six-month inspection as part of the subscription, leaving me and my family in the sweltering heat during a particularly scorching summer week. I immediately contacted ARS Rescue Rooter of North Central Florida and informed them of the issue. I expected them to prioritize my situation, given that I have a maintenance plan with them and rely on their services to keep my home comfortable, after I had provided them with the error that my Carrier unit was displaying, 44-Cannot Communicate with Blower. To my dismay, the response I received was incredibly disappointing. It took ARS Rescue Rooter of North Central Florida a staggering five days to even acknowledge my request for assistance. Needless to say that on the fifth day, when finally a pleasant technician showed up, he did. It has the parts to fix the unit - this is after I told them the error message displayed on the unit. One would think that he was prepared to fixed the problem. Five days without air conditioning in the peak of summer is not only inconvenient but also extremely uncomfortable. I had to endure sleepless nights and unbearable living conditions while waiting for their response. Adding to the frustration, ARS Rescue Rooter of North Central Florida showed a complete lack of communication throughout the process. Despite multiple attempts to reach out to them for updates, my calls and emails were met with silence. It is utterly unacceptable for a company to ignore a loyal customer who has a maintenance plan with them. This level of disregard for customer satisfaction is both unprofessional and disrespectful. Furthermore, the fact that I pay for a yearly maintenance plan and yet receive such subpar service is appalling. The purpose of an annual maintenance plan is to ensure prompt attention to loyal customers and efficient resolution of any issues that may arise. Sadly, ARS Rescue Rooter of North Central Florida failed to deliver on this fundamental aspect of their service. I am deeply disappointed with ARS Rescue Rooter of North Central Florida and their lack of professionalism, communication, and overall customer care. The prolonged period without AC and their refusal to respond to my inquiries have left me questioning their reliability and commitment to their customers. I expected better service, especially as someone who has invested in their yearly maintenance plan. Based on my recent experience, I cannot, in good conscience, recommend ARS Rescue Rooter of North Central Florida to anyone seeking dependable and timely AC services. I sincerely advise anyone to avoid their yearly subscription plan because ARS Rescue Rooter of North Central Florida will queue you to the last. In addition, I hope that they take this review as an opportunity to reflect on their shortcomings and make necessary improvements to avoid similar frustrations for future customers.

Horrible Company Will Never use again and Definitely Not Recommended tried to charge $961.00 Labor to replace an AC blower motor,(part under warranty)about an hour job.Got it done for about $250.00 from an Honest Reputable Rheem AC Dealer. They are a complete Ripp-Off and Subcontractors for Home Depot so Watch out and Beware

BAD NEWS !!! Had a minor problem with our Air Conditioning Unit and called “ARS Rescue Rooter”. The technician came and did a good job. While here he noted that our AC unit was 12 years old, and running close to its expiration date. Being new in the home and having no history on the unit he advised us that ARS had several Cleaning / Tune Up options. We decided to take the most expensive, since it provided a Complete Overhaul. It was to include the Overhaul, a follow up visit , and if we ever had a problem, would place us on a ”priority” list for service. This was in October 2021. We scheduled the first visit for 12/7/21. The same technician came to do the Overhaul. What seemed strange is that while he initially told us that it would take 2 to 3 hours, he was done in 1 hour. Would have thought that their “ULTIMATE Service, which we paid $688 for, would be more than an in & out visit. When we inquired about individual items in the package, in particular the “Corrosion Grenade”, he stated that he had forgotten to bring it, but would do it at the second visit. So June comes and we call to schedule the 2nd contracted Inspection / Cleaning. The woman in the office said that they didn’t offer the contract that I had signed and paid for. Upon talking to 2 different managers, we were told 2 different things: 1) they NEVER had such a protective maintenance program, and 2) they NO LONGER offered it. Oh, by the way, we were also advised that they NO LONGER had the “Corrosion Grenade” available. So, here I sit wondering how much, if any of the work I contracted for was done. “BUYER BEWARE”

Below is my experience so far with ARS through Home Depot for the last (over) two months as of today July 11, 2020: May 9th Rick (who is actually personable, knowledgeable, and professional) came to do the estimate. We were to get another condenser and two new units while moving one of the existing units we already had to another bedroom. May 11th installer came and said condenser was back ordered. Was told days to a week. Did not install 1 ton in master even though it was for existing compressor. Full amount of install charged on 5/11 and on 5/17 statement from Home Depot Asked for update on 5/19 at 735am. Not called back all day Texted Rick at 515pm on 5/19 to request update. 5/20 new condenser was installed along with new inverters. Got call on May 20th to schedule electric on 22nd. Electrician came out and then left and said the appointment wasn’t for install but for looking at the job for scope of work. Electric was hooked up on Saturday May 23rd. Electrician said he was asked by installers not to turn electrical power on to units because they had to come back to do “something” (he didn’t know what). He said they told him they would come Monday (Memorial Day. Thy assured him They were working he said) No one showed on Monday May 25 Called Tuesday (26th). Install coordinator asked if that day, Tuesday would be ok for them to come do whatever they needed. No one showed or called. Called Wednesday May 27th Was put into a voice mail box. Left a message at 230pm. Got letter to schedule inspection of completed work on May 27th from ARS (even though work wasn't done) Texted above to Rick at 345pm on May 27th Got voice mail at 440pm from ARC stating on call person would call night of May 27th. No call again from anyone. Voicemail to Amy on May 28th at 910am. No call back at 1245pm on May 28th. Called again and was told she was still at lunch and would return my call when she got back from lunch. Came on May 29th and "activated" units. promptly on July 1st they failed the inspection. Texted photo of inspection report to Rick. Appointment for July 8th to correct inspection failures and to correct leaky unit from install in guest bedroom upstairs which was discovered the very first time we tried to use the unit (apparently the installers don't bother to test their installations) No show/no call on July 8th. Texted Rick to let him know. Got a call at approx 1230 on July 9th to schedule someone for Friday July 10th. July 10th. No call. No show again. Texted Rick at 930pm. No reply as of 1pm July 11 so texted that I would contest the charge with Home Depot. I'm currently looking into contesting the charge with Home Depot credit services. Credit card fraud aside I now have a non-working installation that has failed both the county inspection AND the actual use of the units. The company refuses to answer my inquiries and the most frustrating thing about this is that Rick clearly knows that he works for a bunch of thieves as one of the things he was most adamant about at the beginning was to contact him before writing a review (which I have, several times now). I also know from experience that a review calling them out publicly is the only thing that will get them to come fix things, which is the worst part. They actually have people capable of doing the job.. they just won't, until you do something like a review like this. If you have time to be nasty (and have no rush to have your install working) then it may be entertaining for you, otherwise find a company that does their job because it's their job and not because they've made themselves look bad on facebook, yelp and google. Seriously, seriously avoid this company.

This company is the worst. The technicians we have seen aren't competent to diagnose problems, and they seem to be trained to use a routine service call to up-sell us on things we don't need. Recently a tech came here to repair one of our 5 units. First he said that the circuit board was fried (under warranty), then he tried to make us pay for a Nest thermostat which he said the bad circuit board fried. Thats all nonsense. After he left the same problem returned, which I personally diagnosed as only a loose wire! (I'm an electrical engineer) Similar situations have happened before with this company. Just because they show up to do warranty work, doesn't mean they won't try to sell you service and parts you don't need. Buyers Beware!

Working with ARS has been a nightmare. I was told when I purchased an air conditioner on April 13 2019 that if I had any problem could speak to the manager, and was given his email. It is now August 27 and I STILL am trying to resolve an issue. Multiple emails and calls to the manager have been unanswered. I've made appointments through ARS and no one shows up - August 23, 27, and now waiting for tomorrow. I'm posting this online in hopes of getting SOME RESOLUTION!!!! The issue is simple - it is an inspection and permit process by the city. We tried to do this months ago and were told that ARS had not finished the paperwork - not sure what this was about. Then I tried for weeks to get ARS to schedule the inspection, which they told me they would. This took a number of calls. I FINALLY got them to schedule an appointment. The first date came and went, and I was told - and I normally would believe this - that the city had to reschedule. I accepted that, but was promised they would be out on another day and they would come to us FIRST because the city had rescheduled. I called very late that day to find out that Emily at the permit and inspection office at ARS had made a mistake. ARRGGHH. I asked to speak to the manager and was not given that opportunity. I can't even leave a voice mail? We will see what tomorrow brings, but I'm done. If ARS handles this so badly, what will happen in the middle of July if my AC breaks down? Would I see them by Christmas?

Ordered and paid for a 5 ton 18 SEER system and they installed a 4 ton 18 SEER system. When I complained, I got the run around. They offered either to stick with the 4 ton unit they installed or a 5 ton 16 SEER to be installed. Their installation caused water to come into my house from outside. About a week later the water came from the unit itself leaking into my house. About a month later, the unit had a gas leak, which they did not fix (I had to call the gas company). When trying to resolve issues, all I really got was ridicule in return from ARS (and the contractor Home Depot).

Over priced and wanted to charge for a temporary fix for a problem they said they couldn't find. Called another AC repair company found it in 30 seconds. ARS is Incompetent worst service ever. I couldn't believe they showed up when I requested quotes for a plumbing issue.

They said it was not coming from the AC. But we had the same issues on both sides of the house about 4-5 years ago. They sent a senior tech and he still didn't figure out the problem. They said they would be here on Monday, but they never showed and rescheduled for Tuesday. We have had issues before with them not being prompt. Today they didn't figure out the water issue and said we should clean the coils! Talk about a bait and switch. Very annoying.

They refused to honor the warranty as "I did not have it serviced every 6 months." This was News to me. This was no where on any contract that I signed that said I must have it serviced every 6 months to maintain the warranty. Home Depot was no help. What happened to the 10 year mfg warranty? I am hoping that Amana will honor their warranty on parts. Evidently it became my fault the fan sprung an oil leak???? Stay clear of this company. You will not have a warranty and it will cost a fortune to fix.

I thought it went well, found out when a service call prior to expiration of 1 year warranty resulted in the discovery that the heat pump had NEVER been hooked up. The rep said not to worry, they would come back and fix it, never heard from him again. After several phone calls asking about the status, another rep was sent out to inform me of the same thing, again telling me they would come back to fix it and again never hearing from him again. The unit was purchased through Home Depot so I had to contact their liaison in the corporate headquarters who kept making promises that ARS kept breaking, It took from the discovery in April to August after untold calls, complaints, with no shows or false promises on the part of ARS, they were the WORST. I presently own 5 properties, I will NEVER use them ever again.

ARS was contracted thru Home Depot to install a completely new system. For starters, I find out that the price was definitely at least 1k higher than it should have been, rather that be their fault or Home Depot, I'm not sure. Since the install, I've had numerous A/C contractors find multiple problems: 1) Part of install was to check duct work. Found out later they were leaking everywhere, so clearly they never looked. 2) Also found out the duct work wasn't even close to properly sized for the unit they installed (never told me). Cost me several thousand to fix, even though they told me everything was fine. 3) Installed UV light and did it in the wrong place where I was told could lead to wires shorting out and destroying my system 4) Installed Carbon Activated filter and didn't use a transformer. A different contractor said they refused to hook it back up without one. Also, sounds like this was a bunch of marketing BS and that these things don't really work well anyway I know nothing about A/C systems and only found these problems out as I continued to have problems with the system. It's been working well lately thanks to other contractors who fixed all of these issues, but would definitely not recommend this company.
