Very unprofessional. The Apex techs spent about 3 hours at my house for the initial setup of the alarm and cameras, for which I was charged $95.00 per hour. They tested the alarm box in the laundry room and said it didn't work. (We have 2 boxes in the laundry room and I assumed that they tested both boxes. I couldn't look over their shoulder since was busy with my kids while they were here.) They didn't have an extra box in their van so they had to schedule another appointment to come back out the next week. When the tech arrived the next week, he came into the laundry room and said "Oh. I didn't realize you have 2 boxes in here. One does work, so I didn't need to come out after all." Complete waste of time spent leaving work early and waiting for him to get here. Unbelievable that in the 3 hours they spent at my home the first time, neither tech noticed the second alarm box mounted in plain sight on the laundry room wall. The next problem occurred when my home phone had problems and had to be serviced. The Apex tech knew about my home phone problems since I talked to him about it while he was here the first time. 2 weeks later, we accidentally sent off the alarm and I called Apex to report the false alarm. They said they never received a signal of an alarm activation and they sent a tech out to fix the problem. When the Apex tech got here he said Brighthouse had wired the phone line into the alarm box backwards. He fixed it in 5 minutes. Apex then charged me $85 for the service call. When I called I asked why I was being charged so much for a quick repair, and was told that they charge a one-hour minimum for each service call and that they would not waive it or lower the fee whatsoever. (I don't know why I was charged $95 per hour for the initial work and $85 per hour for the subsequent work). I spoke with Cheryl first and then the manager, Dale. I believe they are husband and wife and they seem like quite the pair. Both of them were extremely argumentative and raised their voices to me within 5 minutes of each conversation. I told them that I would pay the fee but I thought it was too high and that they were unprofessional in their treatment of me, and I would find a new alarm company. I will never deal with Apex again.
Description of Work: I hired Apex to activate my alarm system and set up security cameras.

My house was wired wrong so my computer wasn't working and continued to go out. They came in and completely rewired my house to fix the issue. I was really happy with their work.
