Highly recommended.
Will use again.
I was advised if I cleaned the unit myself, I could have them come back for another charge and pay $74.00 per lb. for R-22 which only cost $10.00/lb.
Upon calling the company, they agreed to refund my $163.75 which they did six days later.
Warning to all Angies List users: Contractors love to over charge based on so-called "industry standards"!
There are contractors that use fair pricing for parts & materials, but you won't find them here!
"Dear readers, I would like to clarify this review a little for you. The average cost in our region to replace a capacitor is $235, the price of $163.65 is well below industry standard. The claim that the customer needed his evaporator coil cleaned before adding the r-22 is also correct. A dirty coil can cause the refrigerant levels to read low due to restriction of air through the coil, charging a system with a dirty coil can lead to the system being overcharged. We have never charged $74 per lb of r-22, our price is $45 per lb.. Upon hearing of this customers unhappiness we did refund his money because we want satisfied customers, this was my mistake. He was charged a fair price that he agreed upon before the service was provided, I can't and won't apologize for trying to run a profitable company. It is sometimes hard for customers to understand but the direct cost for the services provided this customer was $167 that's parts, labor, fuel, insurance (liability, unemployment, workers comp), vehicle, taxes. This customers total charges were $218, our profit of $51 is how the office staff and rent are paid. I know this is a lot of information but I need homeowners to understand that as with this customer it is easy to say we are ripping you off but in reality a well run a/c company averages a 10% pretax profit, that is not a lot. We strive to bring you great service at the best prices possible, and we must be profitable in order to stay in business. If you ever have a question about your charges please feel free to call us for an explanation before trying to damage our reputation. I am hopeful this helps customers in the future. But all in all I was very pleased with the time he spent to explain everything to me.
