Only local appliance store that was able to get me the LG microwave I wanted. Cost no more then quotes I received on line. They had it in stock and was able to make a quick delivery. Install went really well with people who knew what they were doing. I have no cons in doing business with them and will visit them again with next appliance purchase.

Our management was able to expedite the replacement unit for you, which we have scheduled 5 days later. Unfortunately, shipments do not occur over the weekend from our manufacturers, which could have saved 2 days. We have made extra efforts to get you taken care of and truly are sorry for your experience."

I contacted the company and they told me they would could not fix it because it is Samsungs responsibility.  Samsung told me to call Famous Tate to get this fixed.  I first called Famous Tate and was told to call the appliance repairs.  Three different companies told me that they could not fix it because it was not making the noise when they were there.

We have researched your situation with the multiple servicers who've visited your home and found that none will return due to the way their techs were treated. Since the cracking noise seems to occur intermittently, you can try pulling the refrigerator away from the wall slightly. We have heard of cases where the refrigerator is touching the back wall, which can cause vibration and occasional noise during normal operation. We are confident in the network of factory authorized appliance service companies that we utilize and recommend for both in warranty and out of warranty repairs. In this case, we cannot offer any further recourse."

This was a terrible experience from the moment the dishwasher was installed in our home.  This company does not stand behind their products and WASTES customers times with outright lies, incompetent advice, and useless visits from supposed "repair" agents. I live in a neighborhood near the Famous Tate's store in South Tampa.  This dishwasher NEVER has cleaned the dishes adequately.   As well, the castors holding in the top rack broke, and the top rack fell, breaking dishes and glasses all over the place.  A repairman was sent out, and replaced the top rack, and it broke again, after the warranty expired.  As well, the dishwasher has just never cleaned adequately -- food remained stuck on the dishes.  I am 50 years old and know how to use a dishwasher -- my old one worked much better.   When I complained to the sales person, they put me off, telling me it was a "hard water" problem --  that I had the "wrong" dishwasher for the kind of water the City of Tampa provides, and also I needed to use the Lemishine product, which I never had to use this before.   I found this to be strange to tell me AFTER my purchase -- they were well aware of where my dishwasher would be installed, and that I would be using City of Tampa water -- a good salesperson would make that suggestion before the appliance was installed.    The bottom line is -- I wasted hours of time trying Lemishine, and having their warranty repair visits.    Finally, I had an independent repair person come, who made modifications to the dishwasher, and it has worked better, but not well.   I mainly handwash my dishes.   I wrote to the management of Tate's and after being treated rudely by the sales manager, someone finally offered me 50% off a new purchase.   Since this dishwasher was defective from the start, which they refused to acknowledge, I didn't feel that was adequate. 
200When we buy appliances now, I go to other businesses.  These people just don't stand behind their products, and I was not even able to contact Whirlpool.  Tate's to me are just dishonest.   They told me many untruths and wasted my time.  No concern for my time or making me happy as a future customer. This experience was some time ago, but I think people should be aware that Tate's are not as wonderful as their ads.  I don't want to risk bad service and defective goods with any more expensive appliance purchases.

"We are very sorry to hear about your poor experience with our company and your Whirlpool dishwasher. We would not knowingly lie or try to deceive you while trying to determine what was causing your problems. I believe this involves the dishwasher you purchased and had installed in 2006, and based on that assumption, there are many factors that could have affected you. 1) The City of Tampa water is very hard, especially in South Tampa. That means that it's very important that you have a water softener installed at your home, which I'm sure was mentioned at some point. Without a water softener, the dish detergent does not get activated properly. The other important factor is water temperature when it enters your dishwasher. In many homes, it can take 2-3 minutes for hot water to actually reach your kitchen, which means the dishwasher has trouble getting the water heated enough to maximize the dish detergent. 2) Phosphates were removed from dishwasher detergent in 2010. This was a giant issue in the Florida region, especially Tampa and wasn't given any press until the Tampa Bay Times (St Pete Times) wrote a story about it and the effects. Phosphates were a key ingredient for getting the dishes clean, especially in hard-water markets like ours. We had customers every day thinking their new dishwashers weren't working because cloudy film was left on their glassware & dishes. The LemiShine additive gave a simple fix and that worked for most customers. At present, dishwasher detergent manufacturers have changed their formulas to provide the best cleaning power without phosphates. We've found the best products to be from Finish, whether it's the gel-packs, all-in-one tablets or powder/gel. Today's dishwashers use so little water 3) Rinse Aid. Every manufacturer not only encourages, but endorses using a rinse aid along with your regular detergent. It's essential for getting spot free drying. You are always welcome to contact Whirlpool Consumer Affairs to start a case file. They can be reached at 1-866-698-2538. We would never stop anyone from contacting the manufacturer if there is an issue with quality or cleaning performance. At this point, since almost 8 years have past since your purchase, you may want to consider replacing your dishwasher with a model or brand that has proven performance in the South Tampa market. We will still honor the 50% off concession on the dishwasher of your choice. This offer would be valid through June 30, 2014 and you can contact either of our South Tampa store managers, Steve K or Brent E, to reselect. The most important factors to ensure optimum performance is having a water softener and ensuring hot water is reaching the kitchen quickly, or even running the sink before you wash to get the hot water primed. Last of all, the rinse aid factor. It sounds like a complicated checklist, but with ever-increasing energy usage limitations set by the department of energy on dishwashers, we have to find what works best and detergent companies have to constantly revise their products. Again, we are sorry for the experience you've had with both our company and the Whirlpool product you purchased. Our reputation for customer satisfaction is more important than profit on a dishwasher, so we welcome you to take advantage of our offer and get a product that works to your satisfaction. We had to buy a new washing machine. We dealt with Paul Mobbs at 8010 Grand Blvd., Port Richey, FL 34668. Paul was very helpful and informative and gave us the time we needed to make the decision for ourselves without being pressured into anything. The washer was delivered, on time the very next day.

The appliance salesman was helpful and courteous. But when I communicated to the salesman I could not purchase the appliances yet because I was still looking for a contractor,  they  sent my name to a contractor (Home Improvement Source) that they recommended I go with to get the work done. The BBB rating on this contractor was questionable but when I raised a question as to why they would recommend someone with this rating they brushed my concerns aside and said he was great and did 100's of kitchens and their customers liked him and only one customer had an unresolved issue.. So based on their recommendation I went with him.   Well for me the experience was horrible. A project that was supposed to take 10 weeks is still not done 8 months later and now the contractor has walked off the job leaving me with no workable kitchen, appliances sitting in the garage that cannot be installed until more work is done and most of my renovation money paid to this contractor.  When I went back to the store to speak to the manager and ask for help since they recommended this guy I got "sorry can't do anything". I don't understand the relationship between these two companies but I feel at least in my case that decisions and recommendations were made by both of these companies in a manner that was not above board because of the relationship.
.  Early in the project I picked out my appliances and sent the list to the contractor at their request.  I had not ordered the appliances yet from Famous Tate, then we received an unexpected large bill and I decided to buy less expensive appliances instead but the contractor told me I couldn't, it was too late, cabinets were made. I found out later this was a lie the cabinets weren't made.  Then the contractor forced me to take the appliances before the kitchen was ready for them saying that they needed to measure them that using the specifications would not do. Even the salesman I worked with said that was very unusual and was against the delivery.  After the delivery of the appliances and the balance on the appliances paid, they walked off the job.  So while Famous Tate has good appliances and courteous staff they also have questionable alliances with other companies that could as in my case cause harm.

Took delivery of the wrong mattress on the 3rd, but mistake promptly taken care of with delivery of the correct mattress on the 6th. Our salesperson, Susan, was great to work with. We will be taking delivery of a refrigerator, range, dishwasher and microwave for our kitchen remodel from them on Saturday the 14th.

The salesman were not in your face. They allowed time to review all the items on the store floor and answered all our question. The greatest relief was the thirty day sleep on it and if not satisfied they worked with us on another mattress. I would recommend these great people at Famous Tate

My microwave died on a Friday morning, I read the reviews on Angie's List and decided to drive the 17 miles to visit.  By  11am I made it up to the store.  Nathan greeted me at the door and asked me if he could help.  I told him I was looking for the best microwave at the best price.  He went right over to one that was perfect and within the next 15 minutes I had been taken care of and was walking out the door.  He offered me an extended warranty but unlike other places when I said "no thanks" he just said okay and I didn't feel any pressure to get anything I didn't want.  He tried to get the installation as soon as possible but it couldn't happen until the following Tuesday.  He said the installation man would call on Monday and give me a time for the microwave to be installed.
The installation man called on Monday night and gave me a two hour window.  He came right on time and did a great job of installing and cleaning up after himself.
I love my new microwave and I'm so glad that I checked on Angie's List and went with Famous Tates.  I feel I got the best deal at the best price without any salesman being pushy or trying to up-sell me anything I didn't need.

We went to severl high-end appliance stores where we were offered cookies and bottled water but the sales people at those stores did not LISTEN. We had 3 criteria: No microwave (don't sell me one. I won't use it), dishwasher must have a built-in food disposer/grinder, built in refrigerator.
The first store we went to tried selling us a package that included a microwave and the dishwasher did not have the grinder. That salesperson told us we were "wrong" to not want a microwave and that the grinder really doesn't matter.
We had 3 other similar experiences where the salespeople were clearly trying to sell us what created the maximum commission.
We went with FT because they listened to us and immediately put together the package that fit us. They answered all of our questions. They provided spec sheets on everything so we could have out contractor build the kitchen so everything would fit perfectly. Delivery and everything was perfectly smooth.

UPDATED REVIEW:  I take back every negative thing I said about this provider in my first review! When Jason responded to my review two years ago, he meant what he said. When I contacted Famous Tate again this time (online), I was provided an immediate response. Not only were they responsive to my needs (we had to replace our two year old Samsung refrigerator. It turned out to be a lemon), they did it quickly, efficiently and in the most customer friendly way possible. I am so impressed and have told everyone I know about our experience. I am thankful we can trust a local provider.

ORIGINAL REVIEW:  We are remodeling our home and I was looking for an appliance package (refrigerator, dishwasher, range, microwave etc). I checked Angie's List and found that this provider had an excellent rating. I spent a considerable amount of time on the website looking at the various appliances, and when I knew exactly what I needed I contacted them through the email link on their site. I chose this method as calling would be difficult to follow with all the model numbers. I thought it much easier to list the exact appliances I wanted and was hoping for a reply email with a package price. Frankly, I don't even remember the exact date (or month) I sent the email. It was months ago. Unfortunately for me, I did not keep a copy of the details. It was lengthy. I never received a reply from this company. One of my biggest gripes with companies that have websites is many don't reply to the method of communication they list on their sites. If you are not going to follow up by email, don't include an email link. Simple as that. I have had many owners say "Oh, we prefer that you call. We don't check email regularly". Really? Then why do you have the link on your site. Very poor business practice. So, I have no idea what their service is like in person, but it certainly is poor if you try to contact them through their website.
