"This project was started in late 2017. At CMK we strive for 100% satisfaction on all projects. When things go wrong, we focus on solutions. Sometimes everything goes well, and customers are still not satisfied. We do our best to problem solve in those situations as well. As in life, there are certain people who will never be satisfied. During his project, Mr. Dsurney was incredibly abusive to our team members, constantly swearing and name-calling at every turn. He exhibited especially volatile behavior toward one of our female project managers, calling her a f****** c*** and a b**** on multiple occasions as she addressed his concerns. We assigned another project manager who was met with the same attitude and language. Due to this repeated volatility, CMK senior management intervened to address the final punch list of the project and investigated this customer?s behavior and language. Management met Mr. Dsurney at his property and confirmed his aggressive demeanor and language, that he was creating an extremely hostile work environment for our employees and would NEVER be satisfied. Because he had given us no reason to believe he could behave in a civil manner to our people, the decision was made not return to his project. We let him know that we would not be returning due to this hostile work environment. We also decided not to pursue resolving his severely delinquent account, therefore he never completed paying us for this small bathroom project. This was not an easy decision, especially knowing that Mr. Dsurney would likely choose to disparage us online which could hurt our business and the many families it supports, but we could not in good conscience ask any worker to be subjected to Mr. Dsurney?s outrageous behavior. He takes down his review and reposts it every year or so, which makes it appear more recent. Unfortunately, there is nothing we can do about that, other than share the reality from our perspective in response. We stand by the decision to put our people first, not to subject them to Mr. Dsurney?s abuse and let him rant if he must. We stand by our other 90%+ 5 star reviews as much more accurate reflections of our work and business."
"Although (consumer name withheld per their request) states that his experience was not a good one, CMK finished his project according to the agreed upon contract and scope of work. Unfortunately, there were several factors beyond the control of CMK that tainted the customer?s perspective during the span of the project. While work was being performed, the area was impacted by Hurricane Irma. Safety dictated that this company pull workers to secure other CMK projects which had outside building materials. These materials needed to be quickly secured or moved to ensure they did not become missiles or hazards during high winds. Furthermore, the effects of the hurricane continued to be felt for several days after the hurricane due to power outages and cleanup efforts. These conditions adversely affected material deliveries, inspections and scheduling of workers resulting in some delays. No lien was filed ever against the property. Instead, one of the subcontractors sent the owner a Notice to Owner, which is a common practice among subcontractors. This did not equate to or result in a lien against the property. During the course of (consumer name withheld per their request), project, the Project Manager Mari, left CMK,s employ of her own accord. She did so on very amicable terms. The transition between the two Project Managers was seamless and amicable to ensure no interruptions to the workflow. (consumer name withheld per their request), by his own account related to the Vice President that communication with the first project manager was great and that he was extremely pleased with her efforts. He also noted he was pleased with the next Project Manager, Maria. Access to the home was coordinated with the customer and communication was frequent and effective. CMK was aware of when the customer was traveling and the customer was made aware of who would access the home and when. By all accounts, every effort was made to provide the very best customer service to the homeowner. All inspections passed and the work was completed as agreed. It is important to note that there is no mention that the homeowner was dissatisfied with the quality of the work. CMK made every effort to provide the homeowner with friendly and courteous service while providing top-notch craftsmanship and a remodel of which both the customer and this company could be proud."
"Thank you for choosing CMK, Haldane. It was our pleasure to be a part of these bathroom renovations. Lisa and the boys enjoyed working for you very much."
"Thank you for the feedback, Donald. We are pleased to hear about your positive experience with Lisa and we look forward to making your next remodeling vision come true, with Lisa as your Project Manager, of course."
"Lisa, thanks for letting CMK be a part of this project; your kitchen is beautiful. It certainly seems that Jessica was able to capture your concept, allowing Mari and Carlos to execute on the design. We hope you enjoy your new kitchen for many years and maybe once you've settled in you'll even share the secret for your hamburgers in tomato and beef gravy with me. Happy Cooking-"
"Patricia, we are disappointed to learn that CMK performance did not meet your expectations. Customer satisfaction is our primary objective with every client, on every job, regardless of circumstance, and whether it is assisting a client to shop for finishes or managing through limited access, we always try to accommodate our customers. You are absolutely correct, however, we have and will continue to terminate any workers that fail to perform to CMK standards, and that is why you select CMK. In speaking with the project manager, our understanding is that he attempted to address the carpet and hardwood flooring concerns with you, but he was only made aware of them from your review, and that assistance was declined. Irrespective, we wish you the very best and are appreciative of your business."
"Thank you for the feedback, Jim. It was absolutely our pleasure to help you out of the bind and put you back in the driver seat. Best of luck and enjoy the new kitchen."
