SOUTHERN PRIDE POWER WASH AND SCREENS

Awful! I should have known better. Ed showed up to do the measure and quote with his pre teen daughter and no calculator. He was fumbling and trying to do the math long hand even after I offered him the calculator on my phone. He was giving the same price per sq foot as one of the other bids I got, but his price was MUCH less. So I questioned this and even showed him my other bid. He insisted that his price was correct and that the other bid was over estimated for the sq footage. His first promise was that he would not come back asking for more money, and he basically begged me for the job. When I signed the contract, he admitted that he had underestimated the size and was under priced and wanted more money. We met in the middle and I told him if it went well I would add onto it. He showed up the first day and then had to leave due to weather, then the second day he called in saying he would not be there and that the sub contractor would. Well the sub didn't want to com without him, and was only available on weekends, so would not be back till the following weekend. Something Ed never told us. They had pulled all the screen off the first day, so even though Ed did not want to come back till the next weekend, I needed the wall screens put up because of out animals. He reluctantly came a couple days during the week to work on it some. The following weekend the weather was poor again, so the job was put off till Halloween day. The sub changed his other work around to come finish our job. Ed was scattered and rude. He had got his money and basically acted like he was done, not helping the sub at all. This was Ed's job and he should have been there till the end, but left (even with more walls to do, telling me he would be back in a couple of days). The sub did as much as he could before nightfall and then had to stop. We asked him if we could hire him to complete the rest of what Ed was supposed to do as well as what he needed to do. He agreed and returned the following Saturday and completed the roof as well as the walls and then had to go around and clean up Ed's work. Ed's cards say "We take PRIDE in our work". That is a joke! Maybe he can pressure wash, but screening and customer service is not his forte.
